Friday evening

I was sitting in my bed, reading my favorite book of all time. Ninth House. I was wrapped up in my blue plush blanket, while John Legend's "Drown" played through the room from my Bluetooth speaker. This is usually how I spend my weekends. I was cut out of my thoughts when my bedroom door swung open. I dropped the book and pretended to be asleep. "Mere?" My sister called me from the door.

I was still pretending to be asleep. I felt my bed dip and I uncovered myself to see her sitting beside me.

"Okay. First of all, can you turn this sad stuff off? It's making me depressed. Second of all, I was asking if you wanted to come to this party with me?"

"Samantha..." I sighed.

"I know, I know. You don't go to parties but it'll be fun!" She laid on top of me.

"But I-" I started before she cut me off.

"Come onnn!!! You're 16! Live a little!" She exaggerated.

"I'm doing something" I pulled the blanket back over me.

"And you wonder why you don't have friends." She muttered.

Okay, ouch. "I have friends!" I yelled at her.

"All you do is sit around and complain to mom about how you hate school and how bad your anxiety gets. Cry me a river."

"You don't know anything about why I hate school. Also, If I would've known I could get friends by spinning on my toes, I would've done that a long time ago." I pressed.

She rolled her eyes and sighed. "You comin or no?" She asked.

"I'll come." I sighed. "Only cause I've been in the house since Thursday."

"Thank you!!" She hugged me very tightly.

"The party starts at 8:00 and it's at my friend Sage's parent's beach house, so dress comfortably but cute cause there's gonna be a lot of guys." With that, she left.

I checked my phone. It's only 6:00, so I got time.

~7:45 PM~

I put on some white shorts with a black t-shirt and tied it at the bottom. I threw on a flannel and slipped on some black PINK slides.

I went downstairs to see Samantha seated on the couch, on her phone. She was wearing a plain white crop top and green camo pants. She also had on white high-top converse and her hair tied up in a high ponytail.

"Okay you look cute!!" Her extra ass.

"Ready?" She asked, picking up her keys.

"Not really but whatever." I sighed.

"You'll be fine Mere, I promise." She squeezed my hand.

We walked out and got in her white BMW our dad bought her for her 18th birthday.

I got in the passenger seat and closed the door.

With that, she sped off, down the road.

Hopefully, I don't regret this.

PHILLY WASSUP!!!
