There For You
Well you see, it was all she could afford. Her parents abandoned her as soon as she hit middle school, terrified of her quirk. They would have gotten rid of her sooner, but they didn't want to look like horrible parents abandoning a four year old. So, the day she started middle school. She had to mug some people and rob some stores to get enough money to even buy the small run down house she was staying in.
As the girl turned down an alley to take a short cut that she usaually took to get home she was met with a group of aggressive looking men. "Well well boys, look what we have here. It looks like a nice little school girl at our mercy." Said a tall dirty brutish looking man in the group. Toga assumed he was the leader. The blonde wasn't in a particularly happy mood at the moment, if anything she was a little depressed. Her love, Izuku Midoriya had just rejected her, though not for the first time. It just seemed to sting a little more each time.
"I'd just like to get home right now and don't want to be bothered by you wanna be villains. So if you don't mind I'l just be on my way." She said as she tried to walk by them. Key word tried. One of the men grabbed her by her hair threw her up against the wall. She let out a small grunt but did nothing else. "I think it's time we have a little fun boys. What'd ya say blondie?" The man demanded more than asked. Toga squirmed and tried to get out of his grasp as he ran his his hand from her arm down to her waist.
As Dabi was walking down the street he heard a fimiliar annoying voice shreak. "Get off me you perves!" That was all he had to hear to be down the alley she was in and come to her aid. Five gruff men surrounded Toga trying to peal off her clothing. Dabi was by her side in seconds and one of the men was on the floor covered in burn marks. "You heard her. Get off her!" Dabi stated. The men were shocked and that was the opening Toga needed. She pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the men. "I really hate people like you." She sighed to the men. Within a few minutes the men were down, either dead or unconcious.
"Thanks for the help. I was really getting worried for a second." The blonde girl said to Dabi. "Yeah yeah. Whatever. What are you doing on this side of town anyway?" He asked her. "I could ask you the same thing." She giggled. "Yeah, well I asked you first." Dabi replied. "Well, I live here." She said. "You. You live here. Why in the world would you do that?" He asked. "Because it's all I could affored silly. Why else?" She giggled. "What do you mean it's all you could afford? Aren't you only like 17? Shouldn't you live with your parents?" He asked. "Of course not, I haven't lived with or seen my parents in four years silly." She said in her usually cheery voice as if it didn't phase her at all.
Dabi looked at the curiously and nodded. "Well then, since you live on this part of town. I'll be walking you home and picking you up everyday from now on." He said. "There's really no need. I can take care of myself." Toga giggled. "I know that but that doesn't mean I care. From now on I'll be there for you. Even when no one else is. That's a promise I intend to keep."
