The reflection of the moon glistened upon the watery streams of the forest as I sat down on a tree branch. From faraway I could see my school, Beauxbatons and all of its glory. It's the hundredth time I've snuck out pass curfew and also the hundredth time I've never been caught.
It's quite silly to think about it sometimes.
The wood was moist for the rain had recently just stopped as the cloudy textured sky disappears. Flickering lights from the windows of the castle emitted an attractive view, similar to the stars I currently see on the night sky. I wish I could take one and take one for myself, I'd keep it on an empty jar sitting on my cupboard at home.
Charming isn't it? Being all alone and free of all the doubting specks of the world that constantly rips our hopes apart. I wish someone could see this the way I do.
After an hour, I decided to return to the Ombrellune common room, carefully walking around the hallway attempting to not make any noises. Upon my arrival, a horn started playing a note similar to the sound of an annoying siren. Startled, I hurriedly sneaked inside the girl's dormitory, slipped under the blankets and pretended I've been sleeping for the last two hours.
"se réveiller, Rue." Aurora Dubois carefully whispered, attempting to wake me up.
I fakely opened my eyes as the sound of the horn looped at the background while I acted clueless.
"We need to gather at the hall, Madame Maxime is calling us." She continues as she wears a sleeping robe. My roomates were awoken by the loud noise, hurriedly wearing their slippers and tried to not panic.
"Good evening', I am 'ze v'ery sorry for interrupting'. But I must announce an impor'tant message from des Ministeré," The headmistress opens the parchment containing the letter sent from the French Ministry of Magic saying,
" The Ministry of Magical Affairs of France heavily advices that Beauxbaton's Academy must send their students back home for safety measures. Such attacks have been reported by numerous locations in the South of France allowing the school to be vulnerable to these said strikes of crime.
Above all, the school must allow the students to leave at the nick of time at dawn, letting them pack at night to prepare their journey way back home. Since the end of the school year is almost near, we will extend it for two months until further latest announcements from the Ministry.
Further informations about the reports are confidential and shouldn't be shared to the public to avoid any anguish and trepidations."
Returning back to England had consumed all my time. Portkeys weren't allowed and I'm still too young enough to practice Apparition.
It was nearly 5:30 pm when I had arrived at the Manor but, it was strangely quiet.
The texture of the air had emitted a sense of uneasiness through my skin, the house looked. . .dull, lifeless, vaguely resonates the destructive presence of a Dementor.
I pulled out my wand as I peeked through the half opened front door and I quickly chanted, "Homenum Revelio." A soft swoop of wind could be heard, and as far as I've seen, someone's been uninvited. I entered the house and heard someone fighting in the living room. Their voices weren't familiar as I could barely understand what their subject was about, until. . .
A man's voice exclaimed, "the dark lord is getting impatient—"
"SHHHH...! Did you felt that?" A woman interrupted.
"I felt something move below me, like a soft blow."
"But there's no wind outside—" The room went silent, I couldn't hear their voices anymore. They must've felt the charm I just casted. I quickly confronted them and casted, "Expelliarmus!"
The witch lost her grip, her wand went flying.
"Wow, would you look at that. The daughter of Duke Hawthorn, how delightful it is to finally meet your acquaintance!" The curly haired lady mockingly bows as she giggles like a maniac, "Oh! Are you looking for something? Well, I must tell you that they're at—"
"What are you?! Where are my parents?"
"I'm afraid you might want to see it for yourself, darling, YAXLEY!"
I looked behind me and saw a strange man, all I could see then is nothing but eternal darkness.
