“Don’t run off too far boys!” I smile as I watch Jungkook pull Taehyung along with him and give him a tour around the office space and greet him to the other employers.
“And this is Ro!” Jungkook stops before Rose who smiles and waves at the two boys.
“Kookie, it’s Rose.”
“Ro Ro!” Rose chuckles and nods.
“Ok, Ro Ro. Hello there, what’s your name?” Jungkook held Taehyungs hand as Taehyung tried to hide behind Jungkook. He was still shy but I don’t blame him. Rose bends down and gives something to Taehyung. “My name is Rose. This chocolate is for you.” Rose beams as Taehyung smiles and takes the candy.
“My name is Taehyung.” Taehyung softly says and Rose claps her hands together.
“Taehyung! Such a lovely name!” Jungkook pouts and crosses his hands in front of his chest.
“What about me!?” Rose chuckles and nods.
“You have a lovely name too Jungkook.” Jungkook beams and jumps up and down in happiness.
“I guess you adopted another one?” Kris pops up from behind me, scaring the shit out of me.
“Jesus Kris. You need to stop that.” He chuckles.
“Can’t help it. How are you doing?” I look at Kris in confusion when his face held a very grim expression.
Is something wrong? Did something happen?
“Uh yeah. Why?” Kris looked at me in shock. His eyes peered at the two boys who sat down colouring before landing on me.
“You mean you don’t remember?”
“Remember what? What was I supposed to remember?” Kris soon beams at me and hugs me.
“Nothing. Don’t worry about it! Hows Taehyung?” I look over at the said boy, sighing as he smiled and chatted with Jungkook happily.
“He’s been great. He’s been much more happier the last few months since we had his parents funeral. I’m glad he’s moving on ok. I didn’t want him to keep hurting.” Kris nods.
“That’s good. Jackson told me you are trying to get them enrolled into school?” I nod.
“Yeah. I can’t leave them at home and they are old enough to go to school. Taehyung was already enrolled by his parents and I want to enroll Jungkook in the same school as Taehyung. I don’t want to split them apart.”
“That sounds like the best plan. Have you updated Taehyungs information at the school?” I shake my head.
“Not yet. I’m planning to go today with the boys. Jungkook knows that I want him to go to school and he’s ok with it.”
“Wow. I was expecting Jungkook to be sad about it. He loves to cling onto you.” I chuckle.
“Yeah but I think he understands that he needs to go to school.”
“The boys have been going easy on you?”
“Of course but with the exception of Jackson’s shoes. Jackson hasn’t stepped foot in my house since.”
“You might want to find those quick.”
“I know. I just don’t know why or where the boys are hiding his shoes.”
“Who knows what goes through their heads.” Kris chuckles and looks down at his watch. “The meeting is starting soon. Let’s go shall we?”
Taehyung and Jungkook both hold my hand as we walked to the school that was bustling and brimming with hyperactive kids. I was able to get Jungkook enrolled yesterday and today was his first day at school. Taehyung immediately runs off to his friends who hug him in excitement. I look down and see Jungkook hold my hand tighter and standing closer to my legs.
Awe my poor baby.
“Kookie.” I bend down to his height and see his eyes shining with tears. “Oh baby. Why didn’t you tell me you weren’t ok?”
“I don’t want to go mama.” Jungkooks lips quiver and I hug him, kissing his head and rubbing his back.
“I know baby. But you know I’ll come back to pick you up later.” Jungkook doesn’t let go of me and I lift him up in my arms as he buried his head in my neck. I walk over to Taehyung and call for him.
“Tae, can you come here please.” Taehyung runs up to me and sees Jungkook crying in my arms.
“Kookie. Are you ok?” Taehyung asks worriedly.
“Baby, Tae here will look after you ok?” Taehyung nods. “Sweetie, can you look after Jungkook today, please. He’s new to all this and doesn’t know what to do.” Taehyung nods again and holds Jungkook’s hand.
“Don’t worry Kookie. I’ll be with you everywhere.” Taehyung smiles brightly when Jungkook lifts his head off my shoulder to look at him.
“Really?” Taehyung nods again and I set Jungkook down on his feet, wiping his tears away.
“Mama will come back and pick you guys up. I promise.” Taehyung and Jungkook both nod. “If you guys go to school every day, I’ll promise to take you to the amusement park that opened near here.”
“Yes! The amusement park!” Kookie exclaims in excitement.
“Can we go this weekend?” Taehyung asks and I smile at him.
“Of course sweetie. Let’s all go this weekend!”
“Yay!” Both boys jump in happiness and run off to the school, holding the hands of each other. I smile as I see Jungkook and Taehyung talking happily with Taehyungs friends. As I turn around to walk back to my car, I hear someone whistle and catcall.
Who the fuck does that at a school.
I turn around and see that it was a group of this year graduating high schoolers. The boys all wink at me and I glare at them.
“Well aren’t you a hot babe. Never saw you around here. You new?” One of the guys calls out and I raise a brow at him.
“I don’t date disgusting boys younger than me who literally could be my baby brother.” I yell out to the boys and flip them off as I walked to my car. “Plus, I’m too busy earning more than you.” I yell out as I drive past the boys, heading straight to work in a sour mood.
I wait by the gate with the other parents when the bell rings and I hear the ruckus of children trying to get out of school. I smile when I see Taehyung and Jungkook walking out hand in hand.
“How was your day?” I asked both of them as I hugged them.
“It was fun.” Taehyung said as he held my hand and Jungkook held the other.
“What about you Kookie?”
“Great! Tae Tae looked after me!” Jungkook grinned and I smiled at Taehyung.
“Thank you sweetie.” Jungkook then suddenly hands me a piece of paper and I look at him in confusion. “What’s this?” I open the folded paper and see that it was a painting.
AWE! He painted me a picture! I’m so hanging this on the fridge!
“It’s us mama! There’s you, me, Tae Tae and Kris!”
“No Jackson?” I ask and Jungkook shakes his head.
They really don’t like him, do they?
But why, he didn’t do anything to them.
I chuckle and open the car doors as I help the kids into their seats and we drove off back home.
