Prologue

(y/n) - your name

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I heaved the second last box across the room and into the empty bedroom that was painted a light shade of black with large windows that poured in large amounts of light.

This apartment is really nice.

I smile as I watched my baby bring in the last box that held his school books and equipment.

I’m so happy he got into the university he wanted. His hard work paid off.

“Is that the last of it?” His smooth voice lulled me out of my thoughts as he stood up straight, towering over my short frame easily but pouring only a kind aura.

“It is. Wow, you’re in uni now. I’m so proud of you Kookie.” Jungkook shoots me his famous bunny smile, a hint of a blush on his cheeks hearing my praise.

“I literally couldn’t have done it without you Noona.” He exclaims in happiness as he hugs me tightly and spins me around.

“Jungkook!” I squeal out in surprise and Jungkook puts me down on my feet, my heart racing for a bit. “You did all the hard work.” I stretch my arms up and pet his head, scratching behind his floppy black bunny ears that twitched slightly. I chuckle as his foot thumped against the floor, his nose wiggling.

“No stop.” Jungkook pouts and shoves my hand away and I chuckle at how he was trying to be macho with his puffed out chest.

“Is Taehyung coming over to visit you?” Jungkook nods happily and jumps up and down in excitement.

“He’ll be here any moment!”

“That’s good, he can help you with unpacking.” Jungkook frowns as I check the time on my phone.

I have a meeting in 10 minutes shit.

“You’re not staying?” I put my phone away and look up to see Jungkook looking at the floor sadly.

“Sweetie I’m sorry. I have to go. I wanted to help you move before going to my meeting so I could spend time with you before you left the house.” I reach up and hold Jungkooks face in my hands. The bunny hybrid stares at me with teary eyes.

“Thank you for everything (y/n) Noona. I don’t know where I would be if I never had met you.” Jungkook mumbles as he cupped a hand over mine that held his cheek.

Don’t cry, don’t cry.

Keep it together (y/n).

“Thank you for keeping me company and keeping me happy Jungkook. I’m so glad to have met you. I have to go now.” Jungkook sighs sadly and nods, taking a step back before smiling again.

He’s trying to be happy for me.

“If you ever need anything, you can always call me. I’ll always come to help you, you know that.” Jungkook nods and hugs me once more. I break the hug and bring Jungkooks head down to my level, kissing his forehead. “I’ll miss you Jungkook.”

“I’ll miss you too (y/n).”

I sit in the car and sigh out, the feeling of loneliness already seeping in around me. I look at the building that Jungkook lived in for the last time and start the engine, driving off and leaving behind another close friend of mine.

It’s going to take me about 30 minutes to get back to the office.

I sigh out and open the windows, putting the volume up on my radio as my mind drifted back to the first time I met Jungkook.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was walking down the path, reading the list of things I needed to buy on my grocery list. I made sure to keep my sunglasses on and tied my hair up so to not grab unwanted attention from the bypassers. I walked into my small local store and was about to nod at the cashier but was surprised to see a young male writing in a book with a stressed out face instead.

He must be a student.

Its exam week, what is he doing working?

He should be studying at home.

Is he having financial problems?

I looked around the store but couldn’t find the elderly man that greeted me at the cashier. I shrug my shoulders and continue to shop around. I walked around casually, piling up my shopping cart when I hear a loud thud.

“What are you doing!?”

“Sir!”

“You should be working!”

“S-sir, I am. But I need to study too.”

“You should be doing that at home and not here! Get rid of that book now!”

“But sir, I’ve taken up extra shift hours. I don’t have time to st-”

“-then you shouldn’t have taken extra hours!”

“But I need the money-”

“-get rid of the book!”

“Sir please. If you could please raise my wage up for the hours I work now then I won’t st-”

“You want a pay raise!?”

“P-please I-”

“Get out! Take that book and get out! You’re fired!”

“S-sir! W-wait! No please!” I turn around the corner and see the old man shoving the young male’s things into his arms and shoving him out the door. I stand there and watched the whole scene, a brow raised. I look back at the old man who sees me and suddenly gets all flustered.

“O-oh! Miss (l/n)! How nice to see you!”

“Are you fucking kidding me?” I take my sunglasses off and stare at the rude manager. He looks at me with fear in his eyes as I take my phone out.

“Heya boss!”

“Hey Jude. Can you demote the manager at my local store and hire a new one please. The manager here is an actual asshole.”

“Sure thing boss! Do you want someone to pick you up from the store?”

“Nah I’m fine thank you.”

“No problem boss! Have a great day!”

“You too Jude.” I end the call and place my shopping on the desk to be scanned.

“Miss (l/n) please-”

“I don’t want to hear it. That boy was struggling and you do that to him? Shame on you.” The cashier gulps and proceeds to scan my items. I pay and carry the bags out with me. I look around to try and find the boy that just got fired and I see him walking a few meters ahead of me.

Damn it he’s too far.

Might as well as use my microphone voice.

“OI! THE BOY THAT GOT FIRED!” the boy jumps in shock and turns around. “YEAH YOU WITH THE COCONUT HAIR COME HERE!” the boy points to himself. “YES YOU NOW COME HERE!” the boy runs over and blinks at me in surprise. “Do you mind helping me carry my bags please.”

“O-oh. Ok.” the boy takes a few bags and follows me. I take a proper look at him and notice how tall he is.

Damn. Why I gotta be so short.

He’s quite built. Must be working out too but that skinny waist though. Damn.

Oof and those thighs.

(y/n) stop my god.

“Miss-”

“Call me (y/n) please. You make me sound old.” I smile at the boy and he blinks back with a blush on his cheeks, nodding his head.

He’s very shy.

We walked quietly until I see my house in the far distance.

“You in school?” I speak out and the boy jumps in surprise.

“Oh, uh yeah. Well actually, trying to get into school.”

“Wait, you’re not in school?”

How old is he?

He looks old enough to be graduating at least.

“I’m practicing for entrance exams.” He whispers and stops as I pause in front of my driveway.

“Hmm. Would you like to come inside? You must be hungry.” The boy looks up at me in surprise but his whole face goes red from embarrassment when his stomach grumbles. I chuckle and walk up to my porch, unlocking the door. “In you go.” the boy smiles at me and enters as I close the door behind me and go to the kitchen. “What would you like to eat?”

“You don’t have to mis- uh (y/n).”

“My treat. Especially after what happened at the store.”

“You heard that?” Jungkook shyly rubs the back of his neck and I nod.

“Forget about that. Let’s cook and eat first!” Jungkook nods and helps me cook his favourite food.

“Why did you do all this for me? Not that I’m not grateful.” Jungkook says as he puts the empty bowl away.

“I wanted to propose a deal with you. I’m sure you know who I am.” Jungkook blushes and nods.

“What kind of deal?”

“I want to be your Sugar Mama.”
