My Saviour

Chapter 6

"One day there will be nothing left but stories"

____

Lena sat in the great hall after finishing a long day of classes. She is surprised she is still going to classes. Her Aunt, who is now her legal Guardian says she needs to but that's never stopped her from attending her classes. Her aunt says it's Lena's fault her sister is dead, Lena didn't want to live with her aunt but because she isn't eighteen yet she hasn't got a choice but the second she turns eighteen she plans on running away. Escaping this that she calls life.

Her aunt verbally abuses her whenever she's with her, luckily Lena will be eighteen this summer so she doesn't have to go back. Lena can't wait to be free. To be happy.

After dinner, Lena makes her way back to the Ravenclaw common room.

"Lena"

Oh no. She stops. Stood. Still. In the corridor. She looks up in front of her but the voice came from behind her. She remembers that voice, in fact, she is unable to forget it.

She turns around.

"How are you? You been alright?" Montague asks her as he walks towards Lena alongside Adrian pucey.

She says nothing. She can't.

"Does she not talk?" Adrian asks.

"Doesn't look like it but she can sure as hell scream" says Montague as he laughs with Adrian.

All Lena can hear is her heart pounding in her chest and the look on Montague's face as he-

She hears someone else behind her, someone clearing their throat. She turns her head and she sees Draco stood with a stern look on his face as he doesn't break eye contact from Montague.

"Hello, Malfoy," Montague says.

"What are you doing," Draco asks as he steps forward slightly so he is stood in front of Lena.

"We were just saying how much of a screamer Lena is in bed" Montague replies.

"What was that?" Draco says as he raises a brow.

"Are you deaf? I said she's a screamer in bed" said Montague "Would you like me to show you instead-"

He was cut off by Draco punching him in his nose. So hard that Montague was now on the floor with one swing from Draco. Montague had blood dripping from his nose, he bought his hands up to his face.

Draco leant over him, grabbed his shirt and said "say that again I dare you" in a deep voice and a wicked smirk on his face. Eager to hit him again.

Lena stood and watched in shock as the surrounding students did so too. She didn't know why Draco did that but she couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of satisfaction as Montague lay on the floor with blood drilling from his nose. But she also felt like she was about to have a panic attack. Her breathing started to pick up and she felt dizzy.

She hadn't spoken to Montague since the night of the party but she sure as hell, re-lived it in her nightmares.

She took one last look at Montague and Draco before she turned around and walked at a fast speed through the corridors. She couldn't breathe, she needed air. She walked until she was outside, she rounded a corner where she was alone. She fell down the wall and cried while trying hard to catch her breath.

1, a deep breath in.

2, and out.

3, again.

4, out again.

She finally caught hold of her breathing but her tears continued to fall. She hasn't cried this bad since that night. She tried to stop but she couldn't.

"Lena?" she looked to her left and saw Draco stood. He walked towards her, and then he sat on the floor next to her.

"I'm sorry," Lena said as she began wiping her tears away.

"Don't" Draco said, "let them out"

She stopped wiping her tears away.

"I should thank you," Lena said "if you hadn't shown up I don't know what I would have done"

"You don't need to thank me," he said as he played with his rings on his hand.

"I do," she said "thank you,"

Draco turned and looked at her "your welcome"

"What happened," Draco asked. "Please, tell me"

Lena looked up at the stars in the sky. She's always wanted to tell someone. She wondered if they knew then maybe they could help her get better or maybe just by saying it out loud would make her feel better. She wants to tell her story because one day there will be nothing left but stories. Both the good and the bad.

"Okay, I'll tell you but I have to start from the beginning"

"Go ahead, I'll be listening" Draco replied.
