Chapter 1
The sixth year Ravenclaw turned around at the sound of the voice. Hermione Granger, one of her best friends, came strolling up to her as they were walking to Defense Against The Dark Arts. Once Hermione caught up to her, she handed Annabel a worn down book.
"I remember you telling me about your mother's copy of this book and how she was going to give it to you for your 18th birthday, but that was before she died and before your father sold her copy of the book for money. So when I came across this book in the store and I thought that I should buy it for you. Even though it's worn down, I knew that you would enjoy it even more because of the history that is attached to its leather cover and pages."
"Thank you so much Mia! This means so much to me!"
Annabel hugged Hermione before heading into the Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom.
They walked into the classroom and sat down in their assigned places, which happened to be right next to each other. As more students came strolling in, some wished Annabel a Happy Birthday as they passed by to their own assigned seats.
Harry and Ron were one of the last ones to arrive and they sat right across from the two women in their own seats. Just when Harry opened his mouth to speak, Professor Snape barged in.
"I want you all to partner up; you and you're partner will be defending yourselves against your opponents." No one in the classroom moved, and his gaze turned into a glare.
"Well, get a move on, we don't have all day!"
Annabel and Hermione rushed to stand next to each other and as they watched Harry and Ron partner up. Both boys were walking towards them but Professor Snape ushered them over to Malfoy and Zabini. He then replaced them with Millicent Bulstrode and Daphne Greengrass. Annabel watched as both girls walked closer and smirked. Just as Professor Snape was about to give the next instructions, Bulstrode quickly pointed her wand at Annabel and flicked her wrist.
Professor Snape reacted, and before he could stop himself, he ran over to Annabel and wrapped his arms around her body and within a second after that, he felt them both get blown back. They were both propelled back into the book Hermione had gotten Annabel for her birthday. Every student present watched as both Professor and Student disappeared into the depths of the pages.
Hermione had no idea how to get her best friend and the Defense Professor out of the Grimm's Fairytales.
