George Weasley {Fluff}
You're leaned into his shoulder as he softly traces patterns into your arm, and strokes your hair. Whispering things in your ear making you smile.
You two had been dating for at least six months, at the beginning of the school year you noticed George started taking an interest into you, he would ditch Fred just to see you and hang out with you. He wouldn't prank you anymore which you found strange. He would be at your side basically 24/7 when he could.
You had liked him since your second year but didn't want to tell him until you were old enough, being 13 and having a crush on a 15 year old wouldn't have really worked out. Now, you being 15 and him being 17 you two had a better chance knowing what you two wanted, and that was each other. As for now, the two of you were enjoying each other's company in each other's arms.
"Y/n?" he whispered into your ear.
You hummed in response looking up at him.
"You know, I've always liked you." he smiled down at you, your cheeks went bright red as you smiled back.
"I've liked you since my third year George, I thought I made that pretty obvious"
You looked up at the boy who was studying your face, almost mesmerised by your beauty.
"You did. And for that I'm grateful because if you didn't accidentally tell me you liked me six months ago, maybe it would be someone else's arms you'd be in, instead of mine."
Your face dropped slightly, he knew how much you liked him. Hell, you even loved him but you wouldn't tell him that until you knew he felt the same way.
You shook your head, shifting to get a better view of his face.
"If I hadn't told you I liked you, I wouldn't be here with someone else. I'd be here by myself. Or I might not be here at all. I would wait for you, even if it took years George.
His face lit up at your words as he leaned down and pressed his soft lips against yours, slow and passionate. Whenever he kissed you, no matter how long it lasted, you always got butterflies in the pit of your stomach. Clearly the universe was trying to tell you something but, maybe it was just your teenage hormones playing tricks on you.
"I love you" you mumbled as he pulled away, after you realised what you had said you looked at him. Wondering if he heard what you said, by the look on his face it seemed like he didn't.
You leaned back into his chest, as he went back to stroking your hair. The two of you sat in a peaceful silence.
He placed a small kiss on the top of your head and whispered into your hair, "I love you too"
Now smiling like an idiot you nuzzled closer into him as his grip around your shoulders grew tighter, his hand moved from your shoulders to your waist gripping tightly.
You had a feeling the whole time you loved him, but just waiting for the right moment was hard enough. It was harder than saying the three words that came after the awkwardness, the fiddling, wondering when to say it, the anxiety whether you should wait until you know. It all came down to that one moment you two shared in the common room, you knew you loved George Weasley and there wasn't anything or anyone could say or do to make you forget how much you love him.
Yes, it may get harder in the future when he's working and you may be still in school but it will be worth it, every day spent with your ginger lover was worth it.
If it's meant to be thing will work themselves out and then, who knows what the future will hold for the two of you.
"Do you really?" you asked, half asleep.
He leaned down, his lips hovering over your ear, "I will always love you Y/n, don't forget that".
You took one of your hands and placed it on his face, looking into his dark eyes as they searched your eyes for answers. His lips slightly open, his breathing at a steady pace, his hair slightly dropped in his eyes.
Brushing a stray hair out of his eyes, you blinked looking down from his eyes to his lips. Slowly, you tilted your head and brought your lips to meet his, both moving softly against each other. Passion and love being spread through the two of you, the joy and happiness you felt with this boy was the happiest you had ever been.
And it was just the beginning.
