Always & Forever

This story takes place after Horde Prime and the War. Catra and Adora are both at Brightmoon and finally have a day off. Although this sounds amazing to them, they have no idea what to do! They've never had a day off and neither one of them can relax. Also, there is a bunch of fluff in here regarding Catradora. I hope you enjoy and find out what the couple decides to do! I'll be uploading the next chapters in a bit! (Also, the cover art for this story is NOT mine! I found it online by a fellow fan who does amazing fanart!)

Chapter 1

"Adora?" Catra murmured. A slight noise escaped my mouth. Catra snickered and I could feel her blue and yellow eyes analyzing me. "5 more minutes." I joked. She leaned in closer to me and it made me shiver. Her warm breath on my skin always gave me the desire for more. "What's that?" She asked softly. With my eyes still closed, I repeated myself, "I said, 5 more minutes please." Even though I couldn't see her face, I knew she was smiling. "Oh. Well, since you asked so nicely Princess." A grin made it's way onto my face and I rolled over, facing her. "Aw, thanks." Her eyes still fixed on me, I could tell something was wrong.

I took a peek and saw her deep in thought. "Catra? Are you okay?" I asked, concern coating my voice. She blinked and plastered a fake smile on her lips, "Yeah. Everything's perfect." I creased my brow, "You're a horrible liar, you know that?" She sighed and began to run her fingers through my hair. The small gesture only brought more attention to my deepening desire. For her. Just. For. Her. Nothing else.
I forced my impulse down and tried to focus on what was bothering Catra. I propped myself up on my arm and moved closer to her so we were only a few inches away. "What's wrong?" I questioned. She grabbed my free hand and intertwined her fingers with mine. "Even when he's gone..." Her voice began to crack and her eyes filled with tears. I didn't even have to ask. I knew. Prime.
I cupped her face with my free hand and kissed her forehead. "I know. I know." Tears began to flood from her eyes. Her beautiful blue and yellow eyes. She nudged her face further into my hand and she looked at me. I had never seen her so venerable before. I felt...helpless. I hated it. I wanted so badly to help her out of this. Even if it meant taking all her pain for myself, I'd do it. I pulled her into a hug and she began to unfold. Her grip on me became tighter and her shoulders began to shake violently.
All the memories of what had just recently happen came passing through my mind and I began to sob along with her. We sat there in silence, just holding each other tightly, afraid to let go. Eventually, her breathing steadied and I realized she had fallen asleep. I inhaled deeply, taking in her scent. I relished every second and held her for a little while longer. I didn't want to let her go, in fear that she'd be stripped away from me, or hurt by someone or something. I would never let that happen ever again.
I laid her head down, softly on her pillow and covered her with the sheets. I was glad that she had fallen asleep. She looked peaceful, like nothing was wrong, like she was completely and utterly happy. I hated it when she was sad. I hated the fact that she had been hurt so badly. I kissed her cheek and laid beside her, allowing my arm to rest on her hip. "Good night Catra." I whispered before I drifted off into a black abyss.

bellbennett6: I liked that she finally over came her fears, and told him who was hurting her. I love the way she had a stubbornness to repel, even know the consequences. I really love the way he had pations to wait till she told him who was hurting him. The writing was a little off, but not bad.

killarney385: The change of scenes was it for me. I love how the main character has his fate always backed up and how this plot intertwines with the other of the previous books. As usual, the grammar is simple enough to show the emotions in place.
