short story

He knew his name was Lily, of that much he was sure.

When he was touching a silk dress while modeling for his wife, he recalled a small girl in a red hat and a lovely silk dress.

Then he passed out. When he came to, he was a boy and he wanted desperately to bring her back. He couldn’t. He loved his wife too much and wanted to please her, but he failed miserably at that too.

He had to do what made him happy and become Lily again, no matter what it took.

Even if it meant his death and deadly operations, there was no other way back. Now,since he had traveled this far, and Paris was the place to start with the right doctor, who had seen it all before.

Movie. The Danish Girl. 2015.
