Rowena was struggling to process the last few hours, probably because she was still under the influence of whatever drug her fae best friend gave her on the previous night. They made some nasty stuff at the third circle, she had to give them that.

The guard pointed a flashlight to her eyes, blinding her. She whined, closing her eyes instantly “Are you fucking mad? You almost blinded me, keep it away.”

“We need you to sober up, your Majesty.” Said another guard, from the corner of the room. She could make out some outlines of his body, but the face was still blurry. Were they speaking to her? Impossible. Was this a prank? She could imagine Ensley paying some warlocks to impersonate guards and kidnap her to whatever shit show this was. Goddess be good, she was having a bad trip for sure.

“Look, you can come out Ensley, I can’t see shit, so this isn’t funny.”

Nothing. Pure silence.

The guards were looking at each other. Rowena closed her eyes tightly, straining her vision as she opened them. There were about five men in the room, all dressed up in guard attire. She had seen the outfit before, passing by the Crossroads Mansion - they were like statues outside, guarding the queen. Now, they were looking at her, as lost as abandoned puppies.

“Ma’am, Lady Ensley isn’t here. We were sent by the council to collect you.”

Rowena stared at the one that spoke. He had the fae red hair and green eyes, but no pointy ears - probably an hybrid “What the fuck are you talking about?”

“We need to take you back safely to the Mansion, Ma’am” he moved closer, stretching a glass with a purplish liquid. She took it, looking at it with disgust. “Drink this, it will sober you up, your Majesty.”

She sniffed and wrinkled her nose “If it smells this bad, I can’t even fathom how it’s going to taste.” they kept looking, all five of them “This looks like the start of a bad porno, any moment now, you’re gonna start undressing and shoving your cocks in my face.” She laughed. They didn’t. A look of absolute horror was splashed on their faces “Hey, I’ll let you know I’m not that ugly, ya’ll look like you’re going to puke. Ouch.”

“We would never do anything to disrespect our queen!”

“You’re all subs then?”

“What?” They were about to group faint, she was sure of it; one of them was as red as a tomato. Poor man couldn’t handle any of that talk. A larger man stepped forward “Drink it.” it sounded like an order, so she stared at him. “Your Majesty”.

“That’s right, Ensley better be paying pretty good for this amazing service. Bottoms up.” the taste was shitty and it sobered her up pretty quick. The aftertaste of some potion made to counter fae magic present on the drugs. She looked around, taking in the empty room, the five guards and the table in front of her. She was the only one sitting. Shit, was this the station? “Am I arrested?”

“No, Ma’am.”

“But you need to come with us.”
