Prologue

She was standing in the hall, it was the prince’s 18th birthday, and he was going to find his mate, the pack’s Luna and the queen of the entire white werewolf’s race.

All Alphas and Lunas from every other pack were there to give their blessings.

It was the first time she peeked at him like that and studied his features.. He was 6ft, 3 inches and lean muscular. He had deep blue eyes and a handsome facial features with jet black hair falling upon his forehead.

She had always hated him because he was a spoiled prince who does not give a damn about anyone but himself.

She was already feeling sympathy for his mate. Who will it be? Maybe a bitch among thousands of his flings, who knows? He slept with every beautiful girl in the pack, that’s totally his taste, he was extremely sexist and always cares about beauty. At Least that’s what she thought of him.

His father Alpha Peter, the current Alpha of Riverstone pack would announce his coronation if he found his mate today.

Everyone was excited. She hated such gatherings; she desired to sit in her room and read some books and listen to some music instead of getting bored here.

A lot of girls were excited to be his mate. He was looking at the crowd expressionlessly. His eyes met hers’, but he did not change his expressions, he was looking at her arrogantly. She rolled her eyes in another universe and started looking away.

There were only 2 minutes left and it was almost 12 O’clock. Full moon was glowing in the sky. An important night for werewolves.

He seemed bored while girls were trying to please him. He was looking at Althea, continuously while she was avoiding his gaze.

“Why does he have to play in the staring competition with me?” she thought, annoyed. He turned and walked away.

Two minutes had passed and now he was 18, if his mate was here, he should find her automatically, his wolf could recognize his other half now.

But he was not there now and he was nowhere to be found.

“Where on the planet the jerk has gone?” she thought angrily, she wanted to go home soon. But then she felt her wolf being alert. Every werewolf got their inner wolf to whom they could talk.

“What is Lilly?” she asked her wolf.

“Mate, Mate is here” her wolf said impatiently.

“What?” she said, shocked.

Lilly took over her body, something wolves could do by suppressing the consciousness of their human. Now lilly got her control on Althea’s body while Althea took lily’s place inside her head. She started looking in the crowd. Just then he came back with his usual expressions, arrogant, cold, rude.

“It’s him, look, it’s him,” said Lilly excitedly.

She was about to run towards him, when she heard a mind link, “Stay where you are, if you come any closer I will reject you right here” it was him, he mind linked her harshly.

Lilly felt her bones numb. A word rejection is worse than death to a wolf.

He turned to the crowd, “Looks like my mate is not here, as I am unable to meet her today, so we will delay the coronation” he said with stone expressions and turned to leave.

Lilly gives control to Althea again. “Lilly? Are you okay?” she asked but her wolf remained silent.

“Lilly, please say something, ″ she asked concerned.

“He is our mate and you heard what he said” said Lilly sadly.

“Yeah, I heard him Lilly and it hurts” she said sadly to her wolf.

“Take me away please” Lilly said in a broken voice, and then she left the ceremony walking slowly towards her home. His phone was ringing; he turned to look at her and answered the call.
