Later on that night, I opened my eyes and soon everything came running back into my head. I tried sitting up, but couldn’t. Tyler was holding me against his chest. I looked up at his face to see that he was sleeping softly. His chest rose and fell with each breath that he took. I smiled to myself and looked at the clock. It was 2:30 a.m. I rubbed my eyes and wondered if George and Mom had come home yet.

I squirmed and untangled myself from Tyler’s massive muscular arms. Climbing out of the bed, I walked over to the mirror and saw bruises all over my torso, arms, and my hips. There was a little bruise on my shoulders, and my lips were a little swollen from Tyler sucking on them all night long. But after all of that, I looked at my face and smiled. I had never felt so happy before in all of my life. I looked at my body and didn’t see the young girl who had the weird looking body, I saw a young girl who was loved and who had the ability to love. I pulled my hair away from my neck and felt a stare at me. I turned around to see Tyler looking at me, propped up, his head resting on his hand.

“Hello, Beautiful.” He said and then sat up. As he moved, I swear that every muscle moved and flexed.

“Hiya,” I said and walked back over to the bed. Tyler’s eyes moved all over my body and I smiled at him.

“What?” I said and sat down on the bed. I didn’t care that I was naked, all I cared about was this beautiful man in front of me. He smiled back at me and then stretched out a hand out to me.

“Come here.” I reached back to him and he pulled me down on the bed next to him. He looked deep into my eyes and traced the outline of my face with his fingertips.

“You are truly beautiful to me Zoe. I do not know what I would do without you, now that I have found you.” I blushed and played with the sheets. There was a red blotch on a spot and I realized that it must have come from me when he burst my hymen. I ran my hand over it and then sighed.

“What is it my love?” he asked and then moved to cradle me in his arms. I snuggled into him and smiled to myself. “Nothing Ty. Just that I was thinking about what happened tonight.” I laughed a little and traced the outline of his breast muscle.

“Do you feel guilty about it, Zoe? If you do, I’m sorry.” He began to apologize but I held my hand up, and he stopped right in his tracks.

“No Tyler. I don’t. I’m really happy that we did it.” I looked at him and then smiled really wide.

“So am I Zoe. So am I.” he kissed the top of my head and held me close to him. I heard him sigh and then he tensed. I froze, thinking that maybe Mom or George was standing by the door.

“Tyler?” I whispered, fear in my voice. “What is it?” He grabbed my arm and examined it. Then he groaned and released me. He pushed himself away and turned, his back to me.

“Tyler? What is it? Talk to me.” I pleaded and pulled on his shoulders, trying in vain to make him turn.

“I hurt you, Zoe.” He murmured and gestured to my arm. “There are bruises all over you and it’s because of me.”

I looked down at my hands and laughed to myself. He turned around and I saw care in his eyes.

“This is funny to you?” he asked and balled his fist. I laughed again and shook my head at him.

“No. It’s just that this feels like Twilight. You as Edward and Me as Bella on their honeymoon.” Tyler looked back at me with questions but didn’t ask them, and I didn’t bother to explain to him.

“Honeymoon?” he said and then chuckled, shaking his head. “My sweet, our honeymoon will be much better. I guarantee.” I blushed and felt myself getting hot. If our honeymoon was going to be better, then what was last night?

“I didn’t want you to hurt like that Zoe. I didn’t want to finish and you were injured.” He sighed and then placed his hands behind his head.

“I’m not hurt, Tyler. I feel great and I’m not in pain.” Ok, that last part wasn’t true. I felt a little sore.

He looked at me and smiled. “You are positive?” he asked and then traced my profile.

“Yes, Tyler. I am sure.” I said and smiled back at him. He nodded and then kissed me softly on the lips. I giggled like a little girl and kissed him back.

“I love you, Zoey Cartwright.” He murmured to me and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me to him.

“I love you too,” I said and walked into his arms.

Zoey had fallen asleep on the sheets and I stood over her, admiring her whole body. She was beautiful in many ways, even in slumber. The light from the lamp shone on her face and enhanced her features. I smiled to myself and reached down, pushing her hair away from her face.

I bent down and kissed her on her lips.

“Sleep well Darling,” I whispered and she stirred. I reached over and turned off the light. Smiling again in the darkness, I looked for my slacks and pulled them on. My body smelled of her, but I didn’t care. Usually, I would wash the scent of another woman off of me immediately, but Zoe’s was peculiar. It was like a certain type of perfume.

I walked to the door and opened it, stepping out into the hallway. The lights were on in the kitchen and I froze in my steps, breathing in deeply. I smelled George’s scent and then relaxed a little, descending down the stairs. When I reached the kitchen, I saw him bent over a bottle of water. I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms over my chest. He was clad in a robe and his hair looked as if it was not groomed.

He did not look up at me, yet I knew that he recognized my presence. He sighed and took a long swig from the bottle.

“You claimed her.” It wasn’t a question or a suggestion. He looked back up and then looked at me. I remained inanimate and quiet.

“She is the one that you want? Are you certain? You had made this mistake before Tyler.”

I remained quiet and waited until he said something else but he did not. I cocked my head to the side and looked straight at him. I pushed myself off of the wall and walked over to where he was sitting. Picking up the bottle I looked at the label.

“This is not water George. What is bothering you? You do not consume strong drink unless something was wrong.”

He sighed and looked up at me. I saw the pain in his eyes, Something I had not seen since he retold the story of my mother. “It’s Margret. I don’t know how long I can keep her from discovering the truth. She is so observant and so smart. I don’t know how Tyler.”

“Tell her the same lies that you have given other people,” I said and placed the bottle back down on the table. As much as I was trying to keep my mind on the situation that was proving such a threat, I could not help but think about Zoe laying upstairs in her bed, naked. Mine.

“Tyler. I already did that. But every lie I tell her, she’s thought of a question that would contradict what I had told her before. It’s not normal.” He said and then picked the bottle up again.

“I would not know how to really get rid of these thoughts in my head if it was not for you George,” I said and took the bottle away from him. It was way more severe than I thought it was. If Margret was this inquisitive and this smart, then how would I hide the true reason why we were here?

George looked up at me and gave me a smile. “Thank you, Tyler.” I nodded and he pushed himself up, from the table. He stumbled and I caught him in my arms. If he continued to drink, then he would not get out of bed for a few good hours. I helped him up the stairs and opened the door quietly. George stumbled to his bed and managed not to break or bump into anything. He pulled off his robe and then dragged himself to the bed. Margret was asleep in the bed. George looked up at me before his eyes began to droop.

“Good night Tyler. You do have school tomorrow.” He said and then fell asleep immediately. I chuckled and closed the door.

Walking down the hallway, I thought of Zoey. Images of last night flashed through my mind and I smiled. I had never felt so happy to share my body with a woman before. It was her. I knew it and I knew that I had not made a mistake in choosing her. She was the one I wanted and I wanted her right there again. As I passed her door, I looked at her door and touched the grain work. Then I went to my room.

After taking a shower, and drinking champagne with a spike of blood, I went to bed. I closed my eyes and sighed as I tried to fall asleep.
