Chapter 38

Jonathan took her to a corner Bagel store and she had her favor onion bagel with cream cheese. He wanted this day to be everything she wanted and since she had made her decision she seemed like a weight had lifted off her shoulders. They finished up and rode out the country to his photography friend to pick up the photos but he said the order was running late and would be delivered later that night to Jonathans home.

“Well be wary I will have a dinner party tonight with her family so please be discreet.” Jonathan asked.

They both agreed and then they were off again to walk along the beach they had lunch on a few dates back. Jessica sat down and wiggled her toes in the sand.

“Let’s go window shopping for wedding gowns,” Jonathan told Jessica.

“Are you serious? I forgot about needing one,” she answered. She got up and brushed the sand off her and they walked back to the car.

“But first lets shop a little for you and me.” Jonathan told her. Jessica’s eyes lit up

“Where are we going?” she asked. “You’ll see when we get there,” he told her.

“I’m surprised you haven't hit up your mom to move in with me yet.” Jonathan teased.

“Are you kidding me before the wedding she would go nuts” Jessica laughed

“If you thought she could be stubborn let me throw that card in but maybe I can swing a sleepover tonight.” Jessica teased him.

“A sleep over now that I would like” he teased her right back. “I would love to be alone with you all night,” he told her.

“I might ask what would you do with me at night that you don't do during the day. I am saving myself for our honeymoon remember” Jessica told him.

“I would still like to hold you all night in my arms in a rather skimpy outfit.” he said with a grin.

“You are bad” Jessica said gently pushing him.

They spent hours shopping in clothing stores and finally found a wedding store. He took her in and they looked at gowns. He talked briefly to the woman at the register and then made his way back to Jessica.

“Find any you like?” he asked.

“No to generic I want something different I am a short in the front long, in the back kind of girl,” Jessica told him.

“Well we don't have to buy anything here today so no pressure there are other stores here and other countries” Jonathan told her.

“Jonathan we don't need a big wedding or anything as long as I am with you that’s all that matters to me” Jessica told him.

“I feel the same my love,” he told her.

They went and got back in the limo and hurried back to his place to get changed and have some alone time before everyone arrived for dinner.

“So are you happy I have agreed?” Jessica asked.

“Why would I not be happy I want to be with you any way I can? To be without you would be torture on my very existence.” Jonathan replied.

“I’m going to go change I will be right back,” Jessica told him

Jonathan wandered off to his room to change into his clothing as well for tonight’s dinner. When he returned he saw a stunning woman standing in his library.

“I’m sorry but has anyone told you how beautiful you are.” Jonathan said taking her hand and kissing it gently.

“You’re quite handsome yourself,” Jessica said flirtatiously.

“Why don’t we have a drink in the library while we wait for your family.” Jonathan told her.

“Sounds good to me more private there” Jessica smiled.

As they entered the library Jessica turned around and kissed Jonathan passionately little did she know she was bringing his monster forth with each kiss. He was old enough to control it but even with her it was a challenge.

“Are you sure you could handle a night without trying to change me?” Jessica asked innocently.

“Oh I see your game, trying to get dear ole Jon in trouble” Jonathan told her.

“No I was seriously wondering if you could have me around that long and not be tempted. So would I be in any danger?” she asked.

“As long as you don't provoke me on purpose I think we will be fine” he told her.

“Funny thing I am learning about myself once I am in love I provoke passion” she said pushing her lips hard down on his.

It was like she was an animal. He ran his fingers through her hair and moaned.

“You are an animal in this life as well I see. I have a challenge set before me but I will manage” he told her grabbing her hair pulling her into another hot kiss.

“What happens if before the wedding I don't want to stop, what if plans change and I want to be with entirely?” Jessica asked.

“Why all these questions? Just live in the moment and worry about other things later I am always but a gentlemen I will protect you” Jonathan told her.

They sat on the couch and were starting to loosen his tie when there was a bell at the door.

The staff let them in along with a package from Devon.

“I think we should stop and fix ourselves for our guests” Jonathan said.

“Let me fix your tie” Jessica told him. Once they had straightened up they met their guests in the hallway.

Cathy and her mother were in awe of how big the place was and how beautiful.

“Shall we have a drink before dinner? Jessica thought gifts for the guests would be fun so lets adjourn to the library” Jonathan told them.

Jessica could hear the sighs and oohs as they walked down the hall. They had known he was rich but now they knew how rich.

As they entered the library the staff took their coats.

So I got this gift for you mom and I got this for you Cathy. They both loved their gifts and hugged Jessica and Jonathan.

“I don’t know about you all but I am starving” her mom said.

“Well let’s go eat” Jessica said.

As they made their way to the dining room Jessica couldn't help but feel nervous. When she saw that Jonathan had a steak she relaxed he had ordered something he would eat a little of. She gave him a kiss and sat down next to him with her mother across the table and Cathy sitting next to mom.

As they all sat they began to enjoy their meal. Jessica noticed Cathy seemed upset. Rather than call her out in front of everyone she decided to go the restroom and asked Cathy to join her. Cathy was reluctant but went with her.

“Okay so tell me what's wrong” Jessica said once they were away from everyone else.

“I’m okay I just am a bit jealous you have all this and I have nothing.” Cathy said looking at the floor.

“Sis that’s not true this is all Jonathans not mine. We may be together but he earned this. Don’t be upset because at times I feel like I should be doing more than I am. It’s hard marrying into someone who has money. It isn't all about shopping its about how I feel with him.” Jessica said hugging her sister; it had been so long since she had hugged her.

“I’ll try not to be jealous I promise” Cathy said returning her sisters hug.

“Although you are marrying into a lot of reasons to be,” Cathy said laughing with a smiling.

They both walked back into the dining room and sat down. As they ate Jessica felt like things were finally coming together. She hated that she couldn't tell her family what was going to happen but it was for their safety. They finished eating their dinner and adjourned to the library to have coffee and drinks.

“I am so happy my daughter found someone that treats her like a princess, welcome to the family Jon” her mother said toasting with her coffee to Jonathan.

“I’m going to miss you,” she said hugging Jessica.

“Mom we aren’t married yet” Jessica said laughing.

“You’re my baby, both of you girls are and you're 19 years old and you will be getting married and leaving the me” her mom said with tears in her eyes.

“I love you to mom” Jessica said hugging her.

“As my first act of being 19 I hope you don't mind but me and Jonathan agreed to watching movies all night together.” Jonathan smiled and waited for her mom to freak out.

Instead her mother hugged her again and said

“Just make sure you kids wait until your married for anything else” with those words Jessica blushed.

“Mom!” Jessica exclaimed.

“Well I’m your mother what did you expect me to say” her mom gave her a hug.

“We do have to get going, we will see you tomorrow Hun” her mom told her.
