Moving is hard for everyone. Especially for senior Olympia Callis, who just found out who she really is- not Olympia Callis, the really witty and normal high school senior who just wants to graduate and get over with high school but Olympia Callis, demi-god daughter of the mighty Hermes. Overcome with her newfound popularity and powers, she's found herself in for one heck of an adventure because of her aunt's most prized possession being stolen. Oh and FYI, it's supposedly her fault and she has thirty days to find it. Join Olympia and her friends on this hilarious and very weird Greek mystery.

We're Moving?!

“Please Olympia? You have to understand that-”

“No ‘Please Olympia’ or ‘I’m begging you Pia’ crap is going to work!”

“OLYMPIA CALLIS! Mind your language.” Really? Now is the time she’s going to start yelling at me about my language when we are going to move to Soho.

I mean I get it- We have to move and start new and fresh- But what about their daughter, she was going to finish high school with her BFF and go to college and they had to decide to move now. Like couldn’t they have waited until I went to college?

“You know mom, if I had a middle name that would’ve been more effective. That’s like parenting 101.”

“Olympia, this is starting to get on my nerves now. You better-”

My mom is normally a very nice person but when she’s in a mood for a fight I suggest that you turn around and start running towards the hills, screaming.

“Charissa, I think it’s time to tell her.”

“Don’t you think we should wait until after the big move to Soho?”

“Hello, I’m still here. Can you please tell me what’s going on?”

“Olympia, There has been something we’ve hidden from you for a very long time.”

“Now is not the time,Hermes.” Yes, my dad is named after a Greek god.

“What are you people talking about?”

“I think she deserves to know about the real reason were moving.” My dad said in a hushed tone.

“Excuse me?”

“Olympia dear, your father and I have some things to discuss.Go to your room and start packing. Come down in an hour for dinner. And feed Juniper on the way.” Juniper meaning our cute little kitten we got for my birthday 4 months ago.

“Excuse me?“I shrieked,” Things to discuss?! You freaking discussed half of it in front of me.”

"Olympia! You are on the verge of pulling my last straw. Go to your room and start packing. I’ll come in to check before dinner how much you’ve packed or those new headphones of yours is joining me for the next few days until we reach Soho.” Headphones? Really? I’m five years old and I’m so materialistic. Mom, you already robbed me of the best years of my life and now your gonna steal headphones?

I quickly sprint up the stairs and slam the door. What’s it for them to tell me to go to Soho, start a new life, and forget everyone back at home? I mean it’s my junior year. I could’ve completed it here at Minnesota with my best friend Ciana. I hear a soft knock on the door.

My six year old sister softly opens the door and starts speaking, ”Pia, Can I talk to you? Are you mad at Mom and Dad?”

I pat on my bed and pull her on my lap, ” Of course not, Eli. You wanna tell me something?” Her full name is Elia Callis and she's my baby sister. As much as I hate my parents decision of moving to Soho, but I can’t vent that anger out on Elia. She’s to young to understand it and I don’t want to drag her in it.

“Yeah Pia. I heard Mom and Dad talking to you about moving. Are we really moving to Soho. Can’t we stay here in Minnesota?”

"I’m sorry El, but that’s not in my hands. But we can always go on new adventures in Soho.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. Why not?”

“Can I have a hug?” I embrace her with all the love that I have. Eli and I have been close since she was born. I mean except the moments she has with Juniper.

“Now go and finish that math homework of yours. If you need help, you can come and ask me.”

“But-”

“No if’s, and’s or but’s. Go and study. If you finish your worksheet, we might go out for ice cream after dinner.”

“Pia darling?”

“Yes dad? I’m sorry about that drama but you have to understand that I was planning to enjoy my final year of high school with my friends here and you ruined that plan by making us move to Soho for your new teaching job.”

“Yeah, that’s kinda what I wanted to talk to you about”

“Now what? We’re the great ancestors of some penguin king?”

“No”He chuckles and continues, ”But your almost on the right track. See you're actually part Greek god and part human.”

I burst out laughing after hearing that. After around 2 minutes, I saw the serious expression on his face meaning that he wasn’t joking around.

“Are you serious? I mean if you told me I was part vampire, I would maybe think about it because of all this Twilight craze that's going around. But Greek god, you have got to be kidding?”

“I’m pretty serious this time Olympia” He uses my full name when he’s serious.” The thing is that I’m actually a Greek god.”

“Really? And how is that so?“, I ask sarcastically. I know- I’m just full of sarcasm.

“Will you please drop the act and hear me out Olympia?”

“Okay, sorry. Please continue.“, I sigh.

“Thank you, now as I was saying I’m actually the Greek god Hermes.”

“So Hermes is your real name?”

“Yes darling , Now let me continue. When I met your mother for the first time, it was almost like love at first sight. We started meeting up and became friends. As time passed, your mother and I became very close and we both fell in love. But back at home, everyone at Olympus disapproved of her so we ran away.As time passed, everybody gradually got over the problem and wants us to be nearby. They are very anxious to meet their descendants. But I’ve been welcomed back home after so many years at Olympus and Soho is the nearest portal. Everybody thought it would be best if we moved to Soho and started a new life there. I will still be teaching literature but just at a mythological school, Olympus High School.”

“So that means I’m a demigod like Percy Jackson?”

“Percy Jackson is just a petty remake of Olympus’s grandeur. You aren’t scared right after listening to all of this? After you start your new school, you’ll learn more about our family and its history.”

“Not really, but I have a question?”

“And that is?”

“Will I have any powers?”

“Yup, They actually start to develop around your age? So you're cool about going to Olympus?“, my father gives me a cautious look, scared of my reaction.

“Yeah Dad, but its just that I’m leaving everyone back here.”

“You can come to visit them every once in a while. You can make new friends in Soho. Start packing because your mom is really made at your smart-ass parenting line. ” He chuckled and left the room.

Great , Now on top of this moving stuff, me being a demigod is getting thrown in the mix. Just great.
