Chapter 2

The next day Jake pulls me aside. “Hey Ri, are you busy tonight?” He asks me whilst holding my hand in his.

“No. Why?” I asked him curiously.

“Cause I want to show you something.” He says pulling me even closer than he did before.

He kissed me again. My body became tense, his finger stroked my cheek and I started to relax in his arms. I didn’t see Hãto watching us from the corridor.

“So, I guess I’ll see you later” Jake said leaving after the kiss.

“Sure” I said before he left the room.

“Aria.” I heard Hãto’s deep timber call out to me sounding irritated.

“H...H... Hãto?” I stuttered turning around surprised to see him standing there.

“Aria why did you let him kiss you?” He asked with an angry look in his eyes.

“You don’t own me.” I say looking him in the eyes confidently, my viridian eyes flashing with fire.

“I thought we already established that I DO own you,” He says with a dangerous glint flashing in his turquoise eyes as he stepped closer to me.

With his every step towards me, I took two back until my back hit the wall. He slams his hands against the wall before he reaches out and grabs my hands to pin me to the wall in a similar position to last night.

“Let go, you bastard, let go of me” I said panic rising again as I struggled against him.

“You should learn quickly, that once I decide something is mine, I’ll never let it go.” He says as his breath brushes against my neck.

“You.Are.Mine.” He says each word punctuated by him pinning my body harder against the wall with his own before his lips descended onto my own in a brutal kiss, as I felt my knees go weak, confusion running through me when I realized that I was actually kissing him back, confused at the feeling he caused in me.

He pulls back chuckling softly,“Your mine and your body knows it and I don’t care how long I have to wait until your mind catches up.” He says pulling away from me and leaving me surprised by his bipolar actions. I felt something wet on my cheeks before I realized I was crying, confusion the ruling emotion at the moment. I turned and headed back to my room, my own thoughts giving me an emotional whiplash.

I was still crying when there was knock on my door a few hours later in the evening. I wiped away my tears and opened my door to see Jake standing there.

“Jake, what are you doing here?” I asked still a bit upset but happy to see the seventeen year olds face.

“Did you forget that we were supposed to meet up, or did you purposely forget to get me to come to your room?” He asked his voice said he was teasing but his smile said otherwise.

“I can’t believe I forgot. I am so sorry.” I said letting him come into the room while I looked for my jersey.

I could feel his eyes on me. “Like what you see?” I asked cheekily looking at him from the corner of my.

“Actually, yes.” He replied wrapping an arm around my waist causing me to stand straighter and relax in his arms. We just stood like that for a while.

“Hey Ri?” Jake asked with a calm voice.

“Hmm.” I hummed as an answer.

“Are you okay?” He asked with concern shining in his beautiful blue eyes as some of his ginger locks fell into his eyes.

“I’m fine” I said smiling at him.

“Are you...”

“I’m sure”I said cutting him off in the middle of the sentence.

“Alright, lets head to dinner then I’ll show you what I wanted to earlier” Jake said smiling a sweet smile at me.

We headed out to dinner together, talking about anything and everything. We walked into the Dining Cart and stopped when we saw that Jason and Tanika were fighting again. I looked at Jake and raised my eyebrow.

“What the hell is going on here?” Jake asked just as Hãto, Natasha, Kelly and Risa and Rose entered the dinimg cart. He looked between Tanika and Jason.

“He started it!” Tanika said as she pointed to Jason.

“No, I didn’t!” Jason replied ,sharply glaring at Tanika for accusing him for starting the argument.

“Stop it, both of you, your acting like an old married couple!” I said glaring at both of them. Though the comment garnered a few snickers at their expense.

“Now tell me, what you were arguing about, and don’t say it was nothing.” Jake said look at them sternly with his beautiful blue eyes.

“Tanika said that she and Natasha would be using the Entertainment cart, but I know that it’s my turn using it and she would not try and find a compromise.” Jason said pouting like a child being scorned.

“You do know you sound like you are a three year old?” Natasha said with a slight frown.

“You are such a moron, Jason.” Rose said with an amused smirk as she looked at her twin as she stroked fluffy.

I looked at Jake who just shrugged.

“We could argue all day or we could get somethng to eat and discuss this like rational adults.” Hãto proposed to us.

“I agree with Hãto, we are not children, we do not need to be told to behave and act rationaly so I think we should all calm down before I end up throwing both of you off the train myself.” I said glaring at both Tanika and Jason.

“Fine!” They both said at the same time. And walked off into two diffrent directions.

A deep chuckle came from behind me and I knew it was Hᾶto.

“So you agree with me?” He whispered into my ear before walking off. I felt an arm wrap around my waist and I knew it was Jake.

“What did he say?” Jake asked concern lacing in with his normally calm voice.

“Nothing of importance.” I said turning around to face Jake when I felt him relax and gave him a shy smile.

Three Months Later we’re sitting in a room in the Yanggakdo Hotel in North Korea. Natasha, Tanika, Kelly, Rose, Risa and I were all looking at fashion magazines because we were bored. The boys had decided they were going to try to get one of the faster trains working.

“Ariaaaa~, I’m bored.” Rose and Risa cried together.

“So am I” Natasha said, “Ohh I know, lets talk about boys.”

“Natasha you know the only guys we know are Jason, Jake and Hãto, right?” Tanika asked.

“Of course I know that.” Natasha said.

“Is that the only topic you think of Natasha?“Kelly asks.

“Maybe,” Natasha said, “but its better than thinking I’m going to die a Virgin.”

Silence wrang out of the room just then as the statement ran through our minds. The atomoshpere became morbid as we realised that there may be no hope as we had not seen anybody and if we did the were just in a trance like state.

“Kyaa~ go away bad thoughts” Risa’s voice rang out breaking us out of our reveries.

“Risa, are you okay?” Rose asked looking at her twin concerned.

My attention was drawn back to my book after that. I got up and walked to the door of the room we were in.

“I’m going to go look for food.” I said to the others before walking out the room. I walked to the kitchens and sat down on one of the chairs.

I put my head in my hands and let out a sigh as Natasha’s words rang through my head.

“Die, huh? I won’t die until I get to everyone else to safety, even if I have to break my promise." I say staring out of the window.

I took out my locket and look at the picture of my parents. “Mom, I wish you were here, you would know what to do,” I said sadly “You always knew what to do, but I’m really sorry I may have broken my promise to you?”

“What’s wrong Aria" a soothing voice asked me from behind as I sighed sadly after remembering my broken promise to my mom.

“Jake, you’re back? When did you get here?” I asked before answering the question he asked me, “I remembered something my mom said to me once, thats all.”

“You two must of been really close, huh?” Jake asked me softly looking into my eyes with his deep blue ones.

“We were, but lets not talk about it,” I said turning around to face him, “what did you guys find?”

“Actually thats what I originally came to ask you about, we found another person...“Jake trailed off avoiding my eyes.

“And?” I asked looking at him to try and read his emotions, thats my power, I can read another emotions so that would make me emphatic.

“They said that they know you.” was all he said.

It felt like my whole world had slowed down, if it was who I thought it was then my secret would be revealed, hopefully I can keep them quiet about it.

“Are you alright?” Jake asked looking at me with concerned eyes.

“Yeah, I’m fine” I said smiling at him, "I promise its nothing to worry about Jay."
