These new Hybrids pose a threat to them and The Council wishes to understand them better. It's impossible for The Council to understand them better when the teams of people they send to bring in Hybrids are too full of rage to even think of letting innocent Hybrids live long enough to meet The Council.

Cecilia Amore was born a Hybrid. Half-fairy and half-werewolf, she was outcasted by almost everyone other than her mother, brother and fairy clan. When her mother dies her brother and her are sent from the United Arab Emirates to Malta to live with their Alpha father. With strange abilities to heal the mind and soul of all, her father takes advantage of that. Using her to destroy the minds of people he wants dead and to forcefully heal male wolves consumed by the Darkness.

The Darkness is all the despair, anger, sadness, indifference and torment inside a person. When a supernatural is filled with enough Darkness they can become sick, violent or an emotionless stone. Cecilia finds her true mate, Cyril next-in-line to be Alpha of an Italian pack. Cyril doesn't want anything to do with Cecilia, but his wolf needs her more than ever. Being tasked to find Hybrids all over the globe and bring them to the attention of The Council, Cyril's anger towards them has intensified greatly. Cecilia hasn't had such an easy life herself, the Darkness has consumed enough of her heart that she's been kept as emotionless of stone until she meet him. Both consumed by different types of Darkness can Cecilia and Cyril find a way to heal each other and find their Light.
