Tale ONE: Crossover Through the Mirror Gate
A pure white wolf and a pure white, beautiful unicorn stood beside him, and they were both standing in front of us; as if, guarding us from something or someone. I don't know how we got here or when. Did we enter here through a dream or what? I don't know how it all happened.
"Stay near me!" the white wolf command to both of us and to the unicorn. "Indeed, my dear friend," She replied in a elegant and regal voice. He nodded to confirm her reply. "Who... who are you?!" I called. "Shhh!" the white wolf replied, "They don't see you, you can run!" I looked around the area, and I saw no one anywhere just deep, thick, dark, swirling clouds and a shiny mirror behind us. A MIRROR?!
"Run? Run where?!" I replied softer. "To the mirror, behind you!" He nudged his face towards it; even though, I could just see his tail. To the mirror? What?! I can't go through solid objects! Is he crazy? A voice whispered to me only, I think? "It's a magic mirror... go through and you'll see."
I looked around and I decided to call out in a whisper tone, "Who are you?" I was asking both the voice, and the ones standing in front of me 'who they were'. I got a response from the white wolf. "Through the mirror and then we will talk... It'll be safer there on the other side, but not here!" He order. "Please, little one, do as he says. He knows best, trust me," the unicorn said beautifully, "It's for both of our safeties." I was unsure, but I replied, "O-okay... through the mirror, right? ...H-here goes!" I grabbed my little sister, who was still sleeping, and we went through the mirror together.
"Now! Now, it's your turn, your highness! Go! Go now!" He ordered the unicorn. "But not without you," She replied, "I'll be right behind you! Don't worry about me; I'm just your bodyguard," He answered. "You're more important to me than that!" She started, "Please, don't leave me behind, and I'll no leave you, my friend," She pleaded. "Don't worry, I'll be right behind you... just go!" He said as kindly as he could. She nodded and entered through the mirror.
By the time, the white wolf came through the mirror to the real world; he discovered that he had turned into a human. His lushes white coat of fur had disappeared and replaced with short human hairs all over his body, except for, the short boy styled mop top of hair on the top of his head that was the same color of his white fur.
The white wolf was cover from head to toe in scratches, wounds, blood, and bruises. The white unicorn would have stayed behind with him, but he insisted that she'd leave it to him. What happened to him when we left him back there on the other side alone? When he arrived on our side of the mirror; he had no clothes; however, unlike the unicorn. She appear in a beautiful, light blue dress that fitted her close, but not tightly, and sailed down to her feet and wavered behind her as she walked gracefully. Something like a noble queen, but possible a noble princess? Or was it of a mystical nature?
The white wolf had been looking at the ground for a while to recover from the shock of the mirror's transformation from of him changing from wolf to human. He finally looked up at us after a while of looking down at the floor. His white hair shimmered with a faint glimmer of blue from his eyes. "Ugh... W-what happened?" He uttered as he suddenly fell to the ground from both injury and shock.
"Eon!" the unicorn cried out as she ran to his side and she reached out for him. As she grabbed him up, he magically received a casual attire, but for just a moment there I thought I saw him receive a royal garment in the colors of red fabric with golden trim. "Serene...," Eon uttered weakly with dismay. "I'm here, Eon," Serene replied putting her hand gentle on his face. Eon slowly reached his hand up to grab hers.
Eon gazed weakly up at Serene and smiled at her, and then he fell back to sleep. He was taken to an empty room to rest and recover from his battle injuries. That night, he fought in his sleep; tossing and turning uneasily. "No! NO, YOU CAN'T HAVE HER!" He cried. Inside his dreams were only nightmares, he was fighting the Rouge's leader, Vortexx. Vortexx was a dark red wolf with a swirling, spiral white stripe going down from his head to the tip of his tail.
"Oh, yeah? Who's going to stop me?" Vortexx sneered. "I am!" Eon replied blocking Vortexx's way through the mirror gate. Vortexx didn't take pleasure that Eon blocked his path, so he tackled Eon and beat him to the ground several times. But Eon was the stubborn type, so he kept fighting and taking damage each time. Finally, Eon jumped through the mirror gate, sealing it behind him this kept Vortexx from entering the real world and this made Vortexx angry.
"Agh!" Eon yelled as he leaped out of bed in a heap of sweat, "Uh? Where am I? SERENE!" Serene heard him calling, but she wasn't the only one who heard him, the whole house heard him. I, too, went to check on him. My name is Evon Parker. My little sister, Amy, who had been with me on that encounter was standing by my side. "Who is that Evon?" Amy asked. She must have still been asleep at the time that they arrived in our world. The middle siblings were Peter and Emily, I was the eldest, and Amy was the baby sister. Emily was closer to Amy's age than mine.
Serene went over to comfort Eon. "Are you okay?" She asked him. "Yes, I think so," He replied. You see, Serene was a unicorn and all unicorns have keys inside themselves that open doors to many different universes. Unknown to everyone including Eon, Serene had granted him a gift to be able to open and close doors to universes like unicorns do. He was now a wolf with his very own key of access; however, keys can be stolen by anyone; given that they know how to steal it and how to use it. Two different matters at hand.
By morning, Eon and Serene were chatting about what was going on and what to do next. "Where do we go from here?" Eon asked. "We will take our leave as soon as it's safe," Serene replied. "What's up?" I asked. "Nothing, but a decision," Eon replied. "Why don't we try going back through the mirror, Eon?" Serene asked. "It's too dangerous for you! I'll go look for some back-up," Eon answered. "But it's too dangerous for you too," She replied. "It's better me than you. Besides, I'll be fine and back as quick as a flash before the Rouges will ever catch me!" Eon reassured her. "Come back soon then," Serene replied. "I will," Eon replied as he jumped back through the mirror to the Phantasia*, their former home world..
