Because I want a Vampire's Kiss! (Book 3)

Dinner wasn’t as awkward as Camilla had feared it would be.

Tim seemed to have calmed down, although he didn’t talk much.

Leo ignored Tim altogether, and mostly spoke when spoken to with everyone else.

Finally, dinner was over and they all went into the sitting room. The men started talking business while the ladies discussed other things.

“That is a lovely ring Camilla, so unique,” Mrs. Franklin said.

Tim glanced their way, but Camilla ignored him as she looked down at her ring. “Leo had it made special for me. It’s our birthstones, plus the traditional diamonds.”

Mrs. Franklin leaned closer to look at the ring.

“And the tattoo dear? You know those can never be removed,” Mrs. Franklin said softly as she stared at Camilla’s neck.

Camila gave the woman a smile and winked at Leo who had heard her comment with his vampire hearing. “I know, but I don’t plan to ever let that man go. He is the best to me and treats me like I’m a queen, just like my daddy does mother.”

Mrs. Franklin awed and sat back in her seat satisfied. “So, what kind of wedding did you have dear?”

Camilla stiffened a bit but replied with a smile. “It was just the two of us. We thought we might have a big wedding later, but it really isn’t necessary.”

“Well, if you aren’t going to have a big wedding, then perhaps you should have a big party to let everyone know of the nuptials,” Mrs. Franklin mentioned.

“Oh, Glades! That is a wonderful idea! We could invite all of Leo’s family, so we can meet them, and all our friends too,” Mother said.

And just like that, they began planning a party.

After about thirty minutes though, she felt the need to use the bathroom and excused herself. Walking over to Leo, she kissed his cheek as she told him where she was going. She then left the room.

Finishing in the bathroom, she stepped out, only to find herself being grabbed from behind and pushed into the library next to the bathroom. When the person let her go, she spun around.

“Tim! What are you doing?” Camilla asked., shocked he would treat her this way.

“You were supposed to be MINE Camilla!” Tim snapped at her, his face red with anger.

“Yours?” What are you talking about Tim? You know I never liked you that way, you were nothing but a friend.” She said, shocked by his words.

He stalked toward her, and she began to back up, fearing what he might try.

“No, you never “saw” me did you Camilla? But it was okay because our dads were friends, and I knew it was just a matter of time before we would be together for the good of the company,” Tim stated.

“The good of the…oh, Tim! What have you done?” Camilla asked. “Please tell me you aren’t the one who…?”

“Oh, but I am. I will only stop when you’re mine!” Tim said as he blocked her in between him and the desk.

“I’m a married woman Tim,” Camilla began.

“I don’t care Camilla. Divorces are easy enough to get when you have as much money as your family does. You will get rid of him Camilla because you’re mine, do you hear me? Mine! You WILL divorce that man and marry me! Then everything shall be as it should be,” Tim concluded with an almost crazy look in his eyes.

His hands reached out to grab her hips, pulling her forward. Just the feel of another man’s hands on her made her feel sick, and the feel of his arousal against her thigh disgusted her!

“You need to let me go Tim. My husband is a very possessive and jealous man. He won’t take you touching me lightly,” she pleaded with him.

“I keep telling you Camilla, YOU ARE MINE!” He shouted.

Then he tried to kiss her, but she turned her head away.

“Leo!” She exclaimed loudly, hoping he would hear her as Tim tried once more to kiss her.

Camilla had been gone a few minutes when Leo realized that Tim had slipped out of the room. He frowned, where could Tim have gone?

“Mr. Franklin, where did your son go?” Leo asked him.

Mr. Franklin looked puzzled as he looked at his son’s empty chair. “I don’t know. I didn’t know he had left.”

His sensitive hearing caught the sound of his Geliebte’s cry and his beast arose with in to hiss in anger. Standing, he murmured an “excuse me” before hurrying off to find Camilla.

“You won’t get away with this, and if Leo catches you, you’ll be a dead man Tim! Now, let go of me!” Leo heard Camilla yell.

Using a burst of vampire speed, he almost flew down the hall to the room Camilla’s voice had come from. He walked through the doorway with an angry hiss.

Leo knew his eyes would be red in his anger, but he couldn’t help it, and at this point he didn’t care. He knew damage control would have to be done later, but so be it!

Tim turned from where he had Camilla blocked in at the desk.

With another hiss Leo pulled him off her before slamming Tim into the wall.

“You dare to touch that which does not belong to you?” Leo questioned with a hiss as he felt his fangs descend.

Fear filled Tim’s face and eyes as his heart began to pound.

Leo knew he was a scary sight and grinned, loving the fear he felt flowing of Tim in waves. It had been a long time since he’d placed fear like this in a human, and the predator in him loved it!

“W-W-W-what a-a-are you?” Tim stuttered.

“Your worst nightmare!” Leo hissed even as he leaned in and bit down deep into Tim’s throat.

He knew the pain would make Tim scream. So, he flashed a hand up to cover the man’s mouth to muffle the sound.

The warm feel of Tim’s blood flowing over his tongue was so addictive! The taste was so much richer because of the fear that flowed with it, and Leo wanted so badly to drink until there was none left.

Knowing he couldn’t though had him pulling back with a hiss, licking the wound and making it unnoticeable to the human eyes.

Leo knew if he were to kill Tim, it would bring the hunters wrath down on him. He couldn’t afford for that to happen. So, instead, he stared Tim in the eye until his eyes glazed and he was under Leo’s thrall.

Then in a hypnotic voice Leo said, “You will remember nothing of going into this room. You went to the bathroom, and only passed Camilla in the hall. You will forget this scheme to bring down Smythe Enterprises and will decide to go overseas to try you luck at one of your father’s other ventures. Do you agree?”

“Yes. I agree, it sounds like an excellent plan,” Tim said. “Start over away from here.”

Then, straightening, Leo move back. His fangs were now retracted, and his eyes were once more back to blue as he watched Tim leave the room.

Camilla ran into his arms and he held her tight. He breathed in her sweet scent of peaches which completely calmed the raging best inside.

“How did you know it was him?” Camilla asked softly.

He shrugged. “When you have lived as long as I have, you learn to read people. His guilt was all over him. He hated hurting his father, but he wanted something and thought this was the way to get it.”

“He wanted me. That’s why he cornered me. He though he could convince me to leave you and marry him by using the company as leverage,” she said a she lay her head on his chest. “I thought you were going to kill him Leo, yet I couldn’t find it in me to stop you. Is that bad?”

He chuckled. “Oh, little one, it’s not bad. It means you trust me to do right by you and somewhere inside, you know I wouldn’t kill him. I wanted to though, oh, how I wanted to! It would have brought the hunters wrath down on us though, and I didn’t want that,” he said with a sigh. “His blood, so full of fear tasted so very good though, it made it very hard to stop. I had almost forgotten how good fear tasted.”

“The fear in it? Are you telling me his blood tasted different because of his fear?”

“Ja, little one, that is what I’m saying. Just as yours taste different when you are aroused. It is so much sweeter than, more addicting.

“Oh,” she whispered.

“We had better get back to your family before they send someone searching for us,” he told her.

“Ja, little one?”

“I want to go home now, you’ve made me…!”

He smirked as he took a deep breath and smelled her arousal. “Ja, let us go and make our excuses.”

So, that is what they did!

A week later, Leo had learned the ends and outs of Smythe Enterprises and had gotten to know his father-in-law very well. Camilla had been busy with her mother planning for the big party they were going to have.

Leo called his family and most of them had agreed to come. The only one being difficult was his Mutter. She was worried because she feared she didn’t look old enough to pass for the Mutter of a thirty-six-year-old man.

“We’ll just say you and Vater started really young. You were fifteen or something, and you age well. Good genes and all that,” Leo argued with her.

“Ah, Sohn. I will think about it and let you know,” Mutter said before hanging up.

This was the third time he’d called her, and he was becoming quite frustrated. He loved his Mutter and missed her, he really wanted her to come, her and Vater.

“Your mother?” Camilla asked softly from the doorway.

He turned and gave her a slight smile. “Ja. She’s being stubborn about people thinking she looks too young to have a Sohn my age. Maybe she’d right, and I don’t want to put the family in danger so…I will let it go.”

“Well, whatever she decides will be fine,” she said as she came and sat next to him on the couch. “Um…Leo? I wanted to ask you something though.”

“Ask away little one.”

“I was wondering if you would invite Dean,” she said.

“Dean?” He asked, puzzled by her request.

She nodded, a hopeful look on her face.

“Why would I invite him? He isn’t family, or even a close family friend,” he said, confused.

She squirmed a bit in her seat. Then, she softly said, “You remember me talking about my best friend Shelly.

“Well, I think her, and Dean would hit it off well.”

He gave her a look and she rolled her eyes.

“No, I’m not playing matchmaker! It’s just he’s the kind of guy she avoids, one looking for long term, yet something tells me they could be real good friends. Leo, I saw how lonely he was, I don’t have your super smell, but he almost reeked of loneliness!”

“Ja, I did sense he is lonely, but I still don’t see…”

“Leo, he needs good friends to help keep the loneliness at bay until he can find his beloved! Besides, he’s very tall and so is she. Tall people should stick together!” She said with a giggle.

Laughing, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her until she ran out of breath. “Alright little one. For you I will invite him, but I’m not sure he’ll come. So, don’t be disappointed if he doesn’t.”

“That’s all I’m asking for baby. Now, how about you take me to bed, it’s late,” she whispered in his ear as she nipped at it lovingly.

He groaned, always the ears! How is it she can turn me on so much just by touching my ears?

So, picking her up, he threw her over his shoulder and carried her to bed as she laughed.

The night of the party had finally arrived, and Camilla was excited!

She was excited because this was her first party in forever, and excited because she was going to show of her love to the world of her family and friends!

She gave a sigh, Leo on the other hand didn’t seem nearly as excited. In fact, she felt like he was worried about something, though she wasn’t sure what.

Walking out of the bathroom after her shower, she found him lying on the bed staring into space.

“Leo, baby, tell me what’s wrong,” she said, going to sit next to him.

Leo looked over at her as he huffed a bit. He then said, “I’m not sure this is a good idea. You know how I feel about crowds. All those beating hearts in one place, all that delicious blood just begging to be taken!” Leo’s eyes began to turn red and his fangs descended even as he spoke, licking his lips.

Camilla bit her lip then, she had forgotten about that! In all her excitement, she had completely forgotten about how much trouble Leo had with being around people!

She was such a horrible beloved!

“I’m sorry Leo, I forgot in my excitement! I’m sorry, maybe we should just…?”

Turning his head to look at her, he cut her off by saying, “Nein, Geliebte. It is planned, and too late to cancel now. I will be alright…I hope.”

She gazed into his red eyes, then looked down at his fangs. They were so long and sharp, yet he hadn’t ever hurt her with them. In fact, it was very pleasurable when he bit her during lovemaking. She gave a soft sigh as she thought about making love to him now.

Pulling her towel away from her body, she moved over to straddle his body where it lay across the bed. Leaning down, she kissed him on the cheek and then along his jawline as she unbuttoned his shirt.

“Little one,” he moaned.

She felt him harden under her and gave a moan of her own. “Make love to me Leo.”

Suddenly, she was laying under him, whimpering as he touched her, aroused her, made her beg for his touch.

Leo moved down her body. When he reached her right thigh, he scraped his teeth along it even as she bucked needing release. Then he was sinking his fangs into her even as his fingers sank deep into her womanly folds, arousing her even more as she pleaded for him to take her.

Just when she though she could take no more, Leo was gone. Then he was back, naked, and putting on a condom before thrusting deeply into her.

She smiled as he took them both to pleasurable heights, their bodies moving as one.

When he drove her over the edge, she came screaming his name, her thighs tightening on his hips as if she though he would fly away from her.

When he found his release inside the warm folds of his Geliebte, he hissed out, “Ich Liebe dich Camilla.” (I love you)

She smiled up at him as she brought her hand up to brush it along his cheek. “Oh, Leo, I love you too.”

Leo chuckled then. “You know you’ve made us late, right?”

She looked over at the clock and screeched as she began pushing him off her. “We’re gonna be late! Ugh…I need another shower!”

Leo fell back on the bed, letting her ger up. He roared with laughter as she ran for the bathroom. Suddenly, he wasn’t so worried about this party tonight, nein, he was to busy floating on a cloud of love!

Camilla breathed a sigh of relief when they reached her parent’s home and realized they weren’t terribly late.

She and Leo quickly headed inside only to be stopped by her mother. “Camilla, where have the two of you been? Your grandparents are here, quickly now, go introduce Leo to them.”

“Yes mother,” Camilla said quietly. She then led Leo toward the couch where her grandparents were seated.

“Grandmother, Grandfather, this is my husband Leo,” Camilla said. “Leo, this is Robert and Jill Richards, my mother’s parents.”

“It is a pleasure to meet you,” Leo said as he shook Robert’s hand and kissed Jill’s. He made small talk with them, quickly charming them before making his excuses of finding a drink.

Camila knew the crowd was already affecting him and he was going out for air.

“Your husband is a sweet man grand-daughter. He treats you well?” Grandmother asked.

“Oh, yes ma’am!” Camilla agreed with a big smile. He…” she turned as she heard the front door.

In stepped Leo’s mother and father, along with the rest of the Vogel brood.

“Who is that dear?” Grandfather asked. “I don’t recognize any of them.”

“That is Leo’s family,” Camilla answered. “Please excuse me.”

She then stood and met Leo halfway across the room. They crossed the rest of the way together.

“Vater, Mutter, I am so glad you came,” Leo murmured as he gave them each a hug. “Come, let me introduce you all to Camilla’s parents.”

Leo took Camilla’s hand and they led the way.

“Mr. And Mrs. Smythe, this is my Vater…eh, father and mother, Jantis and Ingrid Vogel,” Leo said by way of introduction. “Vater, Mutter, this is Camilla’s parents, Willard and Maryanne Smythe.”

“So nice to meet you both,” Ingrid said.

“Same,” Camilla’s parents both murmured as hands were shaken.

“Let me introduce my Sohns. This is Bruno, he is my second born. My third born, Tobias and his wife Kendra. My forth born, Falco and his wife Kimberly, who will be giving us our first grandbaby soon!” Ingrid said proudly. She then finished with, “My fifth born Sohn, Felix.”

More handshaking went on, and a quiet conversation was started until…

“Hello Camilla! Your friend is here and wants to meet the man who has taken you from me!”

Everyone turned to find Shelly standing in the doorway, posing with a pouty look.

Camilla laughed and ran to give her a hug.

“Oh, Shelly, you made it!” Camilla almost cried. Except for their phone conversations, they had both been too busy to meet up.

“Of course, I did girly! Now, did you bring one of his hunky bros for me to meet? Hum, hum?” Shelly asked as she wiggled her eyebrows up and down.

“Well, I didn’t bring them with me, but they’re here. Sorry, two of the four are taken though,” Camilla told her with a giggle.

“Shucks! Well, let me meet the two that aren’t at least,” Shelly said with a wink.

So, taking her over to where everyone was standing, Camilla spoke, “Hey everyone, this is my best friend in the whole world, Shelly. Shelly, I want you to meet Leo.”

Shelly went to stand in front of Leo and looked at him from head to toe as she hummed a bit. “He isn’t exactly what I was expecting Camilla. I really was expecting someone a bit…” she leaned toward Camilla, and putting her hand to her mouth, so she could whisper, she said, “…scary! You know, more like a monster, but he actually looks really normal.”

Camilla had to giggle. “Are you disappointed Shelly?”

Shelly shrugged, but before she could say anything else, someone else walked into the room.

Camilla watched as the tall blond man stopped just inside the doorway and looked around before his eyes stopped on where she and Leo were standing.

He then headed their way.

Camilla smiled, “Dean! I’m so glad you could make it.”

Shelly turned to greet the newcomer with a smile only to catch her breath and freeze. Then she breathlessly said, “Oh, man! Tell me this guy in front of me is real Camilla!”

Shelly is a tall, leggy brunette. Tall, meaning she’s almost six feet, but Dean makes her look almost short!

Dean’s eyes locked with Shelly’s, a shocked look passing over his face before he took he hand and kissed it as he bowed over it. “My name is Dean, and what might your name be beloved?”

Camilla gasp as she listened to what he had said, and looking over at Leo, she saw him nod.

“My name is Shelly, and where have you been my whole life my tall drink of water?” She asked him, still sounding breathless. She turned to Camilla then and asked, “Is he like Leo?”

“Yes,” Camilla told her.

Dean straightened and pulled Shelly into his arms as he looked at Camilla questioningly. “She knows?”

Camilla looked around and saw that Leo’s family was surrounding them, so she spoke softly for their ears only. “If you remember Dean, I told you I had dreams.”

He nodded in remembrance.

“They started when I was but eleven and stayed with me for eighteen years until the day I met Leo. Shelly was my closest friend and I told her everything. Every time I had one, and all the details. She never questioned my sanity when I told her the man in my dreams wasn’t human. She only raised an eyebrow and asked, are you sure?”, and I told her yes.

“She listened as I mooned over him, lusted for him, wished for him, and eventually told me I was crazy for being in love with a dream. But she didn’t try to stop me when I decided to travel halfway across the states to find him either. She just wished me good luck!

“She was the only one that knew about those dreams and one day she asked me why. I asked, “why what?”. She said, “why are you so determined to find this man, this vampire?”, and do you know what I told her?” Camilla asked as she looked around at them all.

Everyone shook their heads, and Camilla smiled as she turned back to look at Leo.

“I told her it was because I want a vampire to kiss me, and you my sweet vampire dream, you were the vampire fate chose for that.”

“And I will be forever grateful for that meine Geliebte,” Leo told her.

Then, her very real vampire kissed her again!
