Chapter 23

I woke up with Dylan’s arms closely wrapped around my naked body. I sighed in content. It’s been so long since I’ve been here that I’ve felt complete. I smiled at Dylan’s sleeping face, he looked so relaxed and peaceful but as soon as he is up then that would disappear. It would be back to work for him.

Chuckling to myself, I grabbed Dylan’s shirt which was lying on the floor and put it on. I got up and looked at all the clothes scattered all over the floor. I thought it was unfair to let the maid clean it up, so quickly and quietly I picked up all the scattered items of clothing and ut them in the dirty washing basket.
Finally entering the bathroom, I gasped in shock at the state I was in. My hair was sticking up in all directions; my lips were sore and to think about it, down there was also very sore. I jumped into the warm shower and sighed in relief, I felt clean, but I was still sore. Reluctantly getting out I dried my body and put on a pair of jeans and a top and left my hair down. I quickly put on some mascara and some lip gloss and walked out.
Dylan was now awake and sitting on the bed, probably waiting for me to get out of the bathroom. He got up and walked towards me, causing my heart to speed up. He smirked knowing the effect he had on me and I rolled my eyes. Dylan gave me a hug when I wasn’t expecting it. I wrapped my arms around his torso and snuggled into the warmness that was surrounding me.
When Dylan pulled away and I pouted not liking the coldness that surrounded me, he chuckled and kissed my pout causing me to smile.

“If you keep looking at me like that then we will have a repeat of last night.” Dylan whispered.

“Don’t tease me like that.” I pouted.

“Soon baby soon. I would love to throw you on this bed and have my way with you. Hearing you moan with pleasure that I caused, is the best sound ever. But I have important matters to deal with. Don’t you worry, tonight I will have you moaning and begging on our bed.” Dylan promised.

His words caused me to shiver. I found myself wanting the day to go past faster. Suddenly, I couldn’t wait for tonight so Dylan could fulfil his promise.

Dylan walked towards the bathroom but not before sending me a picture of our intimate night last night which caused me to gasp and make me want tonight to come around even more.

In attempt to distract myself, I walked out and decided that I would go down and make some breakfast. Staying in close proximity to Dylan after his promise wasn’t good for me or my poor body.

Just as I was about to head down, a ball of ginger hair came running towards me. I caught Grace with ease and settled her onto my hip. She was talking about her exciting day with the other pack kids.

Thankfully she didn’t seem upset about the guard taking her away yesterday. It was for the best though. I remembered how I was going to finish decorating Grace’s room today and asked if she wanted to go back to day-care she replied with a yes and an enthusiastic nod of her little head.
Laughing at her response, I sat her in a chair and made her porridge with fresh blueberries. I had been reading up on what to feed toddlers and found they need a balanced diet but with more fibre. It was weird having Grace as my child, now she relied on me and I had to be a responsible mum as well as a Luna.
I decided to feed Grace as I knew she could make a mess. She was too hungry to talk to me which I was thankful for, it gave me time to think. At least I only have one child for the moment. I was on the pill so I couldn’t have gotten pregnant. Of course, I hadn’t told Dylan, but I don’t think we are ready to be parents just yet.
After Grace had breakfast, I got her ready and she went to day care with the other kids. It made me happy to see her so excited to go. It eased the guilt I felt but I knew that it was important for Grace to spend time with kids her age.

Then I decided it was the perfect time to re decorate Grace’s room. No Grace to keep me busy and no mate to distract me. I could finally get Grace’s room done.

Just as I was about to go upstairs, a hand tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to see a man who looked around his 30’s smiling at me. I gave a friendly smile back. The man said, “I’m sorry Luna but there seems to be some kids playing out in the forest and we can’t get them to come inside. I was wondering if you could come and help us?”
I smiled and said, “Of course.”

I knew how difficult kids could be, but it was also very dangerous for them to be playing out there, so I could understand the man’s concern.

Kids don’t understand the meaning of no.
I followed him out and he motioned behind the trees. I could hear the children’s laughter and shook my head at their behaviour. Carefully, making my way through the bushes and trees I reached the spot where the children were.
However I couldn’t see them, instead I saw an mp3 player which was the sounds of the children laughing. Realising that I was set up, I tried to escape but tripped on a branch and was lifted up by a man who sadistically smiled at me. I tried to wriggle out of his grasp but failed. He put a cloth over my mouth, and I could feel myself getting dizzy. The last thing I remember is showing Dylan where I was and saying help through our mind link….
