Queen of the heart
I am Candla, heiress to the throne of Sharfang, my beloved country. Although I will be queen, the courts do not believe I will be a great one. Therefore, before I am coronated, I must marry a prince of the court's choosing. I do not wish to marry or bear children, but it seems I must in order to rule my country and take care of my people. You see, we are not a normal country; we have powers.
As queen, I will possess all these powers. Once I become queen, I will absorb power from every citizen that resides in my lands. This is another reason I must marry. I must carry and give birth to a healthy heir within the first five years of queendom, lest I die from the power given to me when I take the throne. When I bear a child, some of my powers will leave me with it. Eventually, the throne will be passed down to my firstborn, no matter male or female. I am hopeful that since I will be able to pass on some of my powers, that I will not die young, or perhaps never die at all. I am told that is impossible.
I am now awaiting my fate in my chambers. The three princes will arrive this afternoon. I have exactly one week from when they arrive to choose which one shall be my husband for the rest of my life.
