Chapter 12

“Why?” he asked.

“Just the reason you came here Prince Amon...” Micah smiled.

He looked at her surprised.

“How did you know I would be here Princess Micah?”

“I didn’t. I had a feeling you would. And just call me Micah.”

“If you call me Amon.” He smiled and she felt her stomach flip.

“I thought I would never meet you again...” he said slowly.

“Why would you care if you wouldn’t?” Micah asked silently.

“Because...” Amon wrapped his hand around Micah’s hand.

He trailed off and never completed the sentence.

She wanted to tell him that he was on her mind all the time. She wanted to tell him how she was only thinking about him. She wanted to ask what was happening to her. What he was doing to her. But she didn’t.

“I have something.” Amon said as he left her hand.

Micah instantly wanted to hold his hand again. She missed how his hand fit perfectly in hers. Amon took something out of his dark blue shirt’s pocket. It was a glass orb with blue mist in it. It was glistening.

“What is it?” Mica asked looked fascinatedly at it.

It was beautiful.

“I don’t know. Find out yourself.” He shrugged.

“It won’t cross the curtain.” Micah said.

“You are unaware of its abilities Micah.” He said as he pushed it to her direction.

The orb crossed the curtain as his hand didn’t. Micah catched it shocked.

“How?” she asked.

Amon just chuckled. Micah put in her pocket. She looked at Amon laughing as his hair glistened. His lips curling in a smile. He looked down at Micah. His eyes glittering. At that exact moment Micah knew she had done what she had feared. She couldn’t stop herself. It happened. She regretted it. Maybe she didn’t. But she had done it.

“Micah...” Amon said suddenly.

Micah looked up as she saw Amon’s hands on the curtain. Like it was normal to do so, Micah put her hands on his hand. They tangled in each other. Micah knew what had happened.

“What are you doing to me Micah?” Amon asks as he bents his head on the curtain.

Micah did the same and now she could hear his breath.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what I am doing to you or what is happening to me...I don’t know...I don’t know why I thought about you all day. I don’t know why I couldn’t keep my mind off you. I don’t know why I dreamt about you. I don’t know why I wanted to see you again. I don’t know why I came here. I don’t know why I wanted to kiss you. I don’t now why my heart pounded when I saw you. I don’t know why my wings turned silver seeing you. I don’t know why I kept remembering you. I don’t know why I haven’t felt any other emotion from that night. I don’t know why I want to run in your arms. I don’t know why I hate this curtain to come in between. I don’t know why I want to hold your hand. I don’t know...I just know that I can’t continue acting like I don’t love the person I do...it hurts...” Micah said as a tear dropped from her eyes.

She cried. She was helpless. She cried as Amon’s grip on her hand tightened.

“Shh...” he said as he wiped the tears through the curtain.

The curtain touched her face but she wanted to keep crying.

“I love you Micah...” Amon said as Micah cried again.

She held Amon’s hands in her hand and kept crying.

Micah just did what she felt she should do.

She grabbed Amon’s body through the curtain and put her lips on his.
