Chapter 15

I felt my heart skip a beat at the sight of him. Was this his true form? Logan was hot but this is ten times better. I just assumed he and Logan would look alike. Why would he change? I couldn’t help but study his face. Whoever made him took their time. I now knew what it meant to be a god.

I cleared my throat breaking eye contact, “Why aren’t you torturing me?” I asked. Not the best conversation starter.

“Do you want me to torture you?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. Of course the answer was no. I mean what creep would want to get tortured?

“I’m just confused about what’s going on.” I admitted.

“Have you looked in a mirror lately?” he asked me suddenly. What? Did I get ugly during my death? Oh god, I probably looked like a zombie. I shook my head no. He got up from the bed grabbing my wrist and dragging me to the bathroom. Which I just noticed was there. How did I over look that? Right because I was only focused on one door, my way out.

“Look in the mirror.” he demanded. I don’t think he knows how to ask. I was still a little woozy from the after effects of him touching me but quickly pushed those feelings aside. I should not be feeling like this for someone that killed me. Correction, someone that tortured me then sent someone to kill me.

I looked in the mirror, gaping at my reflection. Everything looked normal but my eyes.... Sweet Jesus my eyes! Not being able to stop myself I let out a scream. Thanatos slapped a hand over my mouth glaring at me through the mirror.

“Scream like that again and I’ll rip your throat out.” Ahh there’s the god I know.

“What happened to my eyes?” I asked him, trying to calm down. Wasn’t an easy task with what I was seeing.

“Something I’m trying to figure out,” he answered, shaking his head. “I’ve noticed other things have changed as well.” he snickered.

“What else changed?” I took another look at my reflection. I didn’t see anything different about me besides my eyes. God those eyes.

“Well your hair got longer, darker, and fuller. Your boobs and butt got bigger for sure, and you got taller.” I blushed as he mentioned these details. He was right. As I stood next to him, I noticed I came up to his shoulder now. Before I stopped at his chest.

“Does this happen to everyone when they die?” I asked.

“No, if anything they become ugly,” he told me seriously, “you got sexier. There’s even this alluring scent coming from you. I’m barely holding myself back as we speak.” He walked up to me and sniffed my neck, making me shiver.

“Is that good or bad?” my voice sounded huskier then I expected.

“Could be good...could be bad,” he whispered in my ear. Any other time I would’ve cringed away or blushed. But him acting like this made something surge within me. I turned around surprising him, before grabbing his robe, pulling him to me. I didn’t kiss him, just let my lips hover over his. I flicked my tongue out slowly dragging it over his bottom lip. I stared into his eyes seeing my reflection in them, my eyes were glowing. Holy cow.

“What the hell is happening?” he asked himself as he stared at my eyes, then my lips. Seems he was having an inner battle with himself. I felt myself smirk before pushing him away. “That was...strange, it’s like I couldn’t control myself. My mind was telling me to throw you down on the counter and make you scream my name. But something was holding me back and I think it was you.”

“I felt like I had control over you as well,” I told him taking shaky steps back. I don’t know what came over me to tease Thanatos like that. He shook his head as he walked out the bathroom. I leaned against the sink taking deep breaths.

“Come on!” he yelled from the room. I jumped from the harshness in his voice. I slowly made my way out of the bathroom. He looked back when he saw me enter, his eyes flashed with lust before he glared at me. I raised an eyebrow, bipolar much? “Can you not walk like that?” he growled at me.

I frowned, “This is how I normally walk.”

“Stop swaying your hips so much!”

“I’m not!” I glared at him. We were having a glare match when he suddenly flicked his wrist. I felt fear grip me as I started choking. Then I realized I wasn’t choking at all, I guess I just was prepared to. “Hmm,” he said.

“You were trying to choke me!” I yelled at him. He rolled his eyes.

“Shut up and let’s go,” I glared at his back as I followed him out of the room. What a jerk. Even when I’m dead he still tries to kill me.
