Chapter 14 - Aubree (Part 1)

Aubree fell asleep in Stone’s arms, her back pressed to his chest. When she woke, it was due to Stone stirring next to her.

His warmth vanished and she shivered before she felt the ground move under her.

A huff met her ears as she pushed herself up onto her hands and knees and looked around wildly.

Everything was fine. The sun was climbing over the horizon, the long shadows were shrinking back, and the blanket she’d been lying on was being pulled back into the tent.

Looking behind her into the shadows of the tent, she saw Stone’s great big beast pulling her in with his massive jaws.

Once she was inside, he began to transform back into his human form before going to the tent’s door and zipping it closed.

“Sorry,” he said. “I tried not to startle you, but with the sun rising, I didn’t want to risk us getting spotted out there with me in my wolf form.”

She flopped back down on the blankets as he returned to her and curled up behind her, pulling her against his chest again.

Before she could even ask about his beast, he said, “Yes, after you fell asleep, you shivered a few times when the wind blew. My body heat wasn’t enough, so I shifted to help keep you warmer.”

He chuckled lightly at that as he pressed his nose into the curve of her neck. [You curled right up with a sigh, like a furry blanket was draped over your shoulders.]

She chewed on her lip. [And that’s not weird, how?]

[Should it be?]

She groaned. “Aw crap. That was all in my head? Get out.”

He chuckled again. “I’ve got some things to teach you before we go back home. Otherwise, you’ll find everything quite overwhelming. Especially Alistair. He’ll be all up in your head, poking you, teasing you, snooping through your business. He won’t know when to stop. He can’t help it. He’s very curious.”

She groaned again as she turned over to snuggle into his chest. “Can’t I just stay here with you?”

Brushing back her hair, he kissed her forehead. “For a few more hours. But we must go back home today. They need us. And Guinevere needs her mate. We will practice shielding your mind on the flights.”

Huffing, she relaxed into him and closed her eyes, enjoying his smell and the warm comfort of being in his arms. “Okay. Wake me up in a few hours.”

He kissed her forehead again before she drifted off to sleep.

Stirring, she smiled as the vibrations of his voice rumbled against her cheek on his chest.

“Time to wake up, Love.”

She groaned. “No.”

He was so warm. She didn’t want to leave the warmth of his arms. Didn’t want to leave the safety and security they offered. Didn’t want to leave the tingling sensation creeping over her skin and making her feel so good inside.

“I’m hungry,” he murmured.

Her smiled widened as warmth began to build in her stomach. “Then go find something to eat.”

Lips pressed into the curve of her neck.

“I’m hungry,” he said again as he licked the sensitive mark he’d given her during the night. [For you.]

Her eyes shot open as searing hot pleasure shot through her, making her moan.

It was unlike anything she’d ever felt before. Instantly, liquid pooled between her thighs as desire rushed over her. Her back arched, pressing her breasts flush against his chest as his hands groped her ass.

[Holy fuck!]

He smirked against her searing hot flesh. [Gladly.]

Pushing her back against the blankets, her legs immediately wrapped themselves around his hips before he drove himself into her with a grunt that made her cry out in ecstasy.

His lips grasped hers and she found she was as ravenous as he was.

Animalistic. That was what it was.

She groaned and moaned as he pounded into her, pulling away a few minutes later to catch their breaths.

Slowing down, he leaned back as he ran his hands over her hips and down her thighs.

[Let go,] he commanded as his large hands wrapped around her thighs.

When she did, he pulled her legs up, bending them at the knees, and draped them over his shoulders. She clutched his shoulders, feeling him sink deeper into her as he leaned forward on his hands and knees.

She’d never experienced this position before, and while she didn’t like her legs coming between them, there was no denying the delicious sensations rocking her as he thrust harder and deeper.

She could feel herself building quickly as she scraped her nails against his taut muscles.

They came together, panting for air as Stone leaned a bit of his weight on her legs as he collected himself.

She stared up at him with wide eyes as he leaned back on his legs and kissed her thighs and calves before easing her legs down at his sides.

A big grin played on his lips as he caught her eye. “So, that was a first for you?”

Her cheeks heated up. “It was also the fastest foreplay and quickie ever. Damn.”

Leaning down, he propped himself up on his elbows as he played with her hair, twisting it between his fingers casually. “Couldn’t help myself, Love. And I don’t have time to serenade you like I did last night.”

She pressed her lips together to keep herself from giggling. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she wiggled her eyebrows at him. ”Serenade? Is that what you call it?”

He grinned, making his eyes crinkle. “Yes. Sounds better than ′foreplay,′ doesn’t it?”

She couldn’t help the chortle that escaped her, earning a chuckle from him as well.

“Well, I can’t sing very well—believe me, I’m terrible—but I can make music in you,” he said as he pressed his palm over her heart and caressed down over her breast to her navel.

Her skin tingled. Her heart skipped a beat. Her blood sizzled as she hummed at the delightful sensation.

[Music is felt within,] he said in her head. [You hear it. Feel it. It affects you. Conjures up emotions without you realizing.] He kissed her lightly on the lips. [You make my heart sing.]

Aubree all but melted as he rubbed the tip of his nose against hers, humming a tune under his breath that she didn’t recognize. She heard the words in her head as he shared them with her, but she had no idea what they meant as they were in another language.

“Will you teach me that song?”

He nodded his head as he nuzzled her nose again. [Yes, but we should get ready now. Our ride should be here shortly.]

Swallowing, she nodded but didn’t want to get up. They were still intimately connected. It felt so good, she didn’t want to part.

Kissing her tenderly before pressing his forehead to hers, he said, [I know, Love. But I will be yours tonight.]

[And every night?]

[Yes. And every morning. And every other chance I can get.]

A twist of pain coiled around her heart as he touched her cheek and brought her lips up to his again. [I can’t get enough of you, Aubree. I don’t ever want to part with you. My soul can’t bear it.]

She moaned as he slipped his hand behind her head and deepened the kiss.

The pain in her heart from his touch ignited a bittersweet ache within as her tongue danced with his to the song of their souls, and their bodies came alive to the pleasure that wavered under their heated touches and sensual symphony.
