Shouldn't Have Rejected Me

The Hiccuping Fool

There he was; Lyndon, my now angry, half-naked ex-mate. Standing in a normal position, clenched jaw, tensed muscles, and tight lips. Those once gorgeous mocha brown eyes were now darker than ever. Then there was silence.

I know this was like the most awkward time to bring it up, but damn is he sexy when he's mad' my wolf purred.

Even though I wanted to mentally swat her, Sophie was right; Lyndon was more than attractive when agitated. His wet, black hair was just another mind-blowing addition to that astonishing body.

I even got a quick glimpse of his perfectly-toned six-pack. And to think, if this whole rejection thing didn't happen, all that beauty would be mine!

"AVALON!" Kale yelled whilst swaying his hand up and down in the front of my face.

"Huh- oh" I stuttered suddenly out of breath.

'He rejected you, he rejected you!' I thought to myself over and over beginning to come out of my never-ending trance.

"Are you okay?" Kale sincerely asked, but before I got to answer, Lyndon spoke.

"What were you guys doing?"

"Um- t- HUK!" I hiccuped nervously causing Kale to chuckle a little sending a tingle down my spine.

"We were just talking" Kale answered.

"Right" Lyndon mumbled.

"HUK! HUK!" Another hiccup then followed.

"Do you need a cup of water?" Lyndon chuckled in amusement. I nodded and blushed.

"Ill just get dressed and take yo-"

"It's okay bro, I'll take her" Kale blew in looking at Lyndon.

Lyndon glared looking from me to Kale.

"Ok" Lyndon mumbled before growling into his room with his towel wrapped around his waist.

'Nice butt' Sophie thought as I nodded in agreement.

After getting my cup of water, Kale and I were greeted by three people sitting around the dinner table.

"Goodmorning!" Luna Marta happily spoke. She was wearing a blue and yellow robe with her legs crossed over one another on the ground while reading a magazine catalog.

Ignoring his mothers salutations Kale went to go sit next to Alpha.

"Morning" I smiled.

"How you feeling, sweetheart?" Alpha Troy questioned eating his breakfast meal.

"Uh- fine" I awkwardly answered taking a sip of water.

"Is that her?!" A little girl, with brown hair and wide eyes, cheered happily popping out from underneath the table.

"She's so pretty!!" She grinned referring to me.

You could tell that she was Lyndon's little sister because she and him shared the same exact facial features. The eyes, the hair-

'Man this family has strong genes' Sophie remarked.

'I agree' I thought over to her.

"Hi! I'm Ginger" the little girl said coming over to me with open-arms. She had to be like 5 or 7.

"I'm Avalon" I introduced bending down to hug her small frame.

"Pretty name..." Ginger trailed off looking up to me. "...Babylon" she repeated attempting to say my name.

"N-no, it's Avalon" I laughed.

"A-ba-lon?" she incorrectly stated once more.

"Why don't you just call me Ava?" I suggested.

"Ok Ava" she adorably smiled.

"Anywho..." Luna chimed in"....your parents are allowing you to stay another couple days just for safety precaution. I hope you don't mind" Luna stated, her eyes never leaving the magazine catalog.

"No. It's fine" I faked a smile. I wanted to ask where I was to sleep, but they still don't know about the rejection, so of coarse I will be sleeping with my mate.

"Hungry?" Alpha Troy said pointing in the direction of the food. I nodded and was about to sit next to Kale when Ginger grabbed me to the direction of two empty seats.

"Lyndon usually sits here" she pointed over to one chair.

"So you sit here" she sat me down on the other one. Before smiling sweetly , she gave me a short hug and as if on que, Lyndon walked in.

He was wearing a white t-shirt with brown khakis as his -still- wet hair lay sloppily at the top of his head.

"Lyndon!" Ginger screeched out running over to him with open arms. Lyndon picked her up and kissed her on the cheek as he spun her around.

"How's my favorite little six year-old this morning?" he asked bringing her back to Earths surface.

"Great!" Ginger giggled out. "I met your mate, te-hee, she's pretty" Ginger smiled up at me.

"I know" Lyndon cheesed. I couldn't tell if he was being serious or just acting for his family, I ended up blushing anyway.

"Ava?" she sweetly called out to me.

"Yes Ginger?"

"Your red" she announced causing me to blush even harder.

"Awe, how sweet is that Lyndon? You made her blush" Luna announced. I was probably as red as a tomato by now.

"I remember when you used to make me blush like that" Luna dreamily stated looking up from me to Alpha Troy.

"Cute" Kale mumbled locking eyes with me in sarcasm.

I giggled a little.

"May I pl-please have some j-juice?" I politely stuttered.

After pouring me a cup, Kale passed it down to me as we touched hands.

Of course- being me, in shock I jerked back causing the juice to spill to the ground.

"I. Am. So Sorry" I cried. Kale just smirked and grabbed a napkin.

"It's all good, I'll get it" He said as he bent down wiping the orange-juice filled wooden floor.

"Klutz" Lyndon muttered walking over and sitting next to me. I rolled my eyes and watched Kale clean.

'Leave it to Lyndon to insult you after giving you a sweet compliment' I thought.

I said nothing and just got some food and a new cup of orange juice. All I kept thinking -while stuffing my face in pancakes, eggs, and bacon- was 'Am I going to survive the night without making a complete fool of myself?'
