I suppose I shall have to start at the beginning, for if I do not, this tale is too fantastic to make any sense.
This all started at the Twin’s Tower. For a while now I had been chatting with a female in Tokyo, Japan.
She spoke English pretty well, and she and I chatted for years. We became very close until I came home one day and she gave me quite a surprise.
We had agreed upon certain rules. No exchanging pictures, no real-life names. Today she broke that rule. Not that I mind. Even if what happened to me a million times, I would have still accepted her offer.
I got home after work and opened up the message that was waiting for me.
I regret that I can no longer adhere to the rules that we both set for this chat. You mean a great deal to me, and so that is why I am going to tell you this.
I decided it would be best to come clean. I am the owner of a multinational conglomerate that my father owned. Attached to this is a reservation number for a ticket. You can use this number to choose any flight you wish to come to see me.
I do hope you decide to come to see me.
My throat began to close up a little bit. Not only was she interested in seeing me, but she was rich too?!
I clicked to view the ticket number. I wasn’t sure as to whether I could use this number or not. It sounded too fantastic to be true. However, I have come to know my friend from Tokyo for a while. It just wouldn’t be like her to make up this as a farce.
The next thing I knew I was calling the airlines to confirm the reservation number. It was genuine. One trip to Tokyo, there and back from whatever airline I chose at whatever time I wished.
Well, that was it. I confirmed a flight, and I started to pack. My job laid me off during the slow season. I was going to coast on by with my money until I could find another job temporarily.
I managed to find my passport and began to continue packing. My flight left tomorrow at 8 a.m. I began to wonder what the life of a rich person would be.
I sat down to a meal of leftovers. I admit I did not quite often eat well. All the leftovers were pretty much pasta, pizza, leftover Chinese takeout, and a few day-old donuts. I had a busy life during the busy season.
I ran a food truck. Winter was coming, and not much construction went on with the ground all solid. Mostly my boss gave me a route to take, I would drive onto the construction site, and the hungry workers would come over.
Winter was just around the corner, and so the slow season started. My boss cut his force in half. This year I was not so lucky to be chosen to stay on during the winter.
I’m sure I explained this to my friend at some point, and that’s probably how she knew that I wasn’t busy enough and could accept the ticket.
I was watching a really old tv show called Ranma 1/2 when I started to get sleepy.
I started to see a picture of a woman, leaping for an electrified plate. The electricity went around a large, thick, black plate. Once she touched the plate, it began to shock her.
She cried out in pain and pulled herself up. She reached for another electrified plate above that. It seemed she was climbing something.
The woman’s hair was frizzy, blonde and caramel color. Her skin was the color of deep walnut. Her outfit consisted of leather straps, arm guards, shoulder guards, and leather gauntlets. She appeared to be some kind of gladiator.
I continued to watch her climb up this dreadful tower as guards below poked her with spikes. The woman went from plate to plate, getting shocked, and avoiding the spikes that stuck out of the tower.
I proceeded to awake the next day, unaware why I dreamt of such a horrible dream. It was 5 a.m. already, and I began to pack up my stuff. I turned off the TV. It was on all night. I tripped over a bottle of hot sauce. I bent down to pick up the bottle.
The hot sauce was not a brand that I was familiar with. I had never heard of “Herby Magic’s Convoluted Hot Sauce”. I shrugged and began to make myself a breakfast burrito. I put on some of the sauce from the bottle. I would consider myself almost crazy at the time, but the sauce shimmered, changing colors like it was alive.
I figured I must still be sleepy, so I bit into the breakfast burrito. The sauce was quite nasty. I spat out the stuff in disgust. I salvaged what was left of my burrito, and ate it sans sauce.
I tossed the hot sauce in the trash and continued to get ready. I got in my car. My car was 1991 Chord Escort. I got it at a very good price after it was new in ’91 from the Chord company. They were just a small town, B grade company that ripped off a lot of Ford’s designs until they were sued, and closed in ’95. After all this time, the car still runs. Frankly, that’s all that matters to me. When I was younger, having a cool car was everything, now all that mattered was getting to work without incident.
I pulled out and took the highway to the airport. Snow began to fall, as I drove down the busy highway. Then the funniest thing happened. A lot of funny things happened on my way to Tokyo.
As soon as I entered the highway, I noticed in my rearview mirror that the police pulled up. They started to barricade the entrance not letting anybody else on the highway. The highway was pretty much dead. Normally it was so full of people using it to get to work, but it was as if the highway was for myself and myself alone.
When I got to the airport, I had no trouble finding a parking space near the front of the airport.
Airport security had a long line, but a new line opened and a guard waved me through to his line. I was having phenomenally good luck.
I was early to catch my flight, and I found out my friend purchased a first-class ticket. I could never afford such luxury in my entire life.
I had a few glasses of champagne, and then fell asleep, having another dream about the woman. This time I was watching her undress in her tent. She suddenly looked around as if she could sense my presence.
“Who is there?!” She shouted as she protected her bare chest.
I continued to watch her as she continued to look around, acting all suspicious.
“I can sense you! Who’s there?” The woman demanded as she reached for a nearby sword with a curved blade.
Then she seemed to look directly at me. She covered her chest with one arm as she pointed the sword at me with her other arm. “I know you’re there! Reveal yourself!”
I just stood there watching her. She grew angry and pulled back the sword as if to attack. Then I woke up.
The plane dipped as if it was trying to avoid something.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, please return to your seats and fasten your belts. We are encountering turbulence.” A voice told us over the loudspeaker.
I looked at my watch. It was after nine am. I had missed take off. I heard a commotion from the right side of the plane.
“Oh, we are here! We are here! That’s Japan!” A businessman shouted as he looked out the window.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I know this sounds impossible.. but all the instruments are correct.. we have been in the air on a direct flight to Honolulu.. somehow.. we ended up in Japan..”
I looked at my watch again to make sure I was not dreaming. He was right. I had only been asleep for over an hour and here we were.
The air traffic tower in Tokyo guided us in, and it all seemed to be very mysterious. It was after midnight in Japan when we landed.
I had no idea how we got here in under an hour. The pilot walked nearby, talking to a stewardess about how some kind of hole opened up. He dipped the plane to avoid it, but we went in anyway and ended up here.
“What the heck is going on?” I ended up asking myself.
Soon the whole terminal was abuzz with stories of the “Impossible Flight”, going from the USA to Japan in an hour, with no stops in between.
I began to hit the streets of Tokyo. Luckily this place was one that did not sleep like Los Vegas or New York. I flagged down a cab and used Google Translate to speak to the cab driver.
“Yes! I speak English! Get in already!” The female shouted at me from inside.
“Well, this makes it a lot easier,” I told her before reading the address attached to the claim number.
The cab took off and then slowed in front of the police car. The officer looked at her and the cabbie made a “come follow me” motion.
The police car began to follow the cab. I began to wonder if it was because I was a foreigner.
Unknown to me, my friend was a big deal in Japan. The police were a bit iffy about letting an outsider go to the home of the owner of one of the most powerful Corporations in the world.
The cab pulled up and I got out. The house was over by a cliff face, A private beach below in the ocean crashing upon the rocks. I rang the bell and someone answered in Japanese. I had to use my app to figure out what he was saying.
Before I could answer, the police officer pushed me aside. He spoke to the person in Japanese. I could not catch what the two were talking about. Then the officer asked for my passport in English. I showed it to him. More of the Conversation eluded me as the two spoke.
Finally, the gates began to open. The police officer spoke in English “You are early, but expected.” That he got inside his car and took off. The cab did as well. I turned and went through the gate as it began to rain.
I was greeted by the butler in English. “Mister Conrad. Why are you arriving so late at night? We expected you sometime tomorrow afternoon.”
I scratched my head and smiled. “Yeah.. somehow we made it to Japan in an hour..” as if that was a logical excuse.
“Please follow me. I will show you to your room.” The butler told me, taking my bags, paying no mind to my illogical excuse.
“I hope I did not wake anybody..” I spoke as I looked around the very expensive-looking mansion.
“Trust me when I say that the Mistress of the house is very much asleep.” The butler told me as we continued to go through the house.
Finally, we stopped in front of the doors to my room. The butler began to go inside the room, showing me around the room. The bed was big and comfy, I had a closet. it was certainly not a Japanese style room, but more of a western look.
“I thought the person who owns this house was Japanese..” I spoke to the butler after beginning to put my things away.
“The man who built his house, my Mistress’s father, was indeed Japanese. However, the woman he married was English. He built this house for her.” The butler told me as he watched me work.
“That explains a lot. I’m glad it’s built this way. It feels very close to home.” I told the butler, relieved that this reminded me so much of my lifestyle back in the USA.
Back home I was quite poor. This style of living was a little bit more than I was accustomed to. I somehow managed to finish unpacking and got into bed.
“Anything else sir?” The butler asked me.
“No. Goodnight.” I wish him farewell as he shut off the lights.
That night I slept, dreaming of the girl again. She was being chased by shadows. I could sense that she was searching for something. She ran, finally finding a doorway. She left through it as the shadows chased her. The shadows carried glowing pitchforks.
I woke up from the dream. I tried to think back about the dream, but soon the dream and its contents were fading away from my mind. I sat up in bed. I slept for a long time. By my estimate, it was almost noon in Japan.
I yawned, scratched and got up from the bed. I proceeded into the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and did a double-take. For a moment I didn’t recognize myself. Strange stuff had been happening to me as of late.
I got dressed and went outside my door to where the Butler was waiting for me.
“Good morning Sir, I trust that you slept well?” The butler asked me.
“As well as to be expected. I don’t suffer from any jet lag.” I told the butler, as I looked at him.
“Indeed. Word of your “Impossible flight” was on the news this morning. How that happened, I cannot say. If I were not a man of science, I would say magic was at work.” The butler told me, and he began to escort me to the room in which the girl I came to meet presided.
The woman stood up. I went to her and she offered me her hand. I kissed it.
“Aella I presume?” I asked her as I admired her.
She had deep crimson eyes. Her hair was the color of the blackest midnight. She giggled a bit, dressed in a strawberry red traditional ball gown.
“Enchante.” She spoke French as I kissed her hand.
“You’re quite the lady of the world aren’t you Aella?” I asked her.
Aella giggled and shook her head. Another woman came out from the kitchen and pointed at the girl I kissed.
“That’s not Aella! I am!” The other woman spoke, looking exactly like Aella.
“What?!” I looked back and forth between the two, just now realizing that they were identical twins.
Aella ran over to me and planted a kiss on my cheek.
“I should explain.. you see.. we’re identical twins.. and.. we took turns answering your letters.. and..” Aella was embarrassed, blushing red.
The other girl kissed me. “Hi.. My name is Lye.
“So you’re both twins?!” I was still reeling from the fact that they were both twins.
Yeah, and we’ve both fallen.. hard for you..” the both of them spoke, kissing me many times.
“What do you mean by both?” I tried to ask them in between kisses.
“As I said.. we took turns answering your letter.. and.. we brought you here for a reason..” Aella told me, bushing more.
“What is the reason that you asked me here?” I ask the two of them as they went to town kissing me.
“As you could have guessed.. we own the company.. and.. to keep it.. one of us needs to get married..” Lye told me, blushing hard.
“Ohhhh!” I moaned, loving all the attention.
“So will you? We know what kind of life you lead back home. You could live a much more comfortable life here..” Aella spoke. “Now is the time for us to become more than close friends.. we can give you everything..”
“I don’t know.. I didn’t realize you were twins.. and if what you two told me is true.. I know you both so well..”
Lye humphed. She crossed her arms. “We will just have to convince you.” Lye took me by the arms and dragged me over to a model.
The model was of a very traditional looking type Japanese tower. The model was labeled “Tower of Power”, and there was a bit of a line outside the tower.
“This is the Tower of Power. Our father did many business dealings in the rooms above. Once Donald Trump stayed there to business with our father. Now Trump is President of your United States.” Lye explained to me.
“The tower draws in many who wish to stay because the business deals were so good. That good business has made our company what it is today. People are attracted to both money and power, thinking it will do amazing things to their lives. So far, every deal struck in the tower has turned to gold, making it a financial place of power.” Aella told me, smiling and walking on my right side. Lye took my left side.
“Why are you telling me this?” I asked them, looking from one to the other.
“Aella spoke first. “We are spending the night in the tower.”
“You will spend time with each of us.” Lye finished up the statement.
“It appears that I have no choice. Very well I look forward to it.” I told the two.
The twins begin to kiss me again and I returned the kisses, not fully aware of what was in store for me.
“Come. We shall go out to eat. Have you ever set foot in Tokyo before now?” Lye asked me, holding my left arm between her boobs.
“I’m afraid not. This is my first time out of the country.” I responded as Aella did the same with my right arm.
“Then we will have to take you out, and show you the city.” Both spoke at the same time.
“Then indeed we shall,” I responded, smiling as the girls swooned.
The butler began to pull the car around as the girls let me out the door. It was raining, and we were by the sea. If it had been a very sunny day I would have imagined I would have been taken for a walk. As I got inside the limo, I noticed there were three other men inside the limo, carrying guns.
I looked at them a bit questionable, unable to make out their true purpose.
“Please ignore the bodyguards.. pay attention to us!” Lye told me as the girls continued to try for my affection.
“Bodyguards?!” I asked what surprise in my voice.
“Yes. The twins are part of the richest family in Japan. The Yakuza would love to get their hands on one of them and ransom them back to the family. You too as well.” The butler’s voice came in through a speaker.
The divide rolled down and I saw that the butler was driving.
“Take us someplace to eat!” Lye demanded, Lye never taking her eyes off me for a single second.
“Right away Miss!” The butler spoke back and began to drive.
“I’m not comfortable being here..” I told the twins, an obvious look of discomfort across my face.
I was most uncomfortable because of the guns the bodyguards had on them. I grew up in a very poor neighborhood, where gun violence was common. I have heard more than my share of shootouts. To this day I hated guns, not just for the noise that they made, but the lives that they took away. Each shot to me signaled another death. The faster the guns shot, the more death they could deal out.
The limousine began to enter the highway, entering the Tokyo city limits.
“I should think that we will end our tour at the tower. It has seven glorious floors, overlooking a serene garden, and a big pond. I used to love feeding Koi there.” Aella told me, snuggling hard against me.
My eyes are glued out the window. Never have I seen such a big city so clean. Not a scrap of trash was on the street.
Suddenly my mind went to those old movies of Godzilla attacking Tokyo. This Tokyo was more modern, looking like a Cyberpunk New York at night. Course I remembered there was a Godzilla movie that had him attacking New York too.
Suddenly I heard people yelling in a panic, running away as someone frightened them. The limo sped up, driving faster as a large bellow rang out from the crowd. It was most certainly not human.
Out of the side of the window, I saw something large lumbering through A skyscraper like it was nothing, making a large hole.
The limo stopped, suddenly blocked by traffic. I got out of the limo, running towards the big giant thing as everyone else ran away. A giant, grey man swung his hand at the crowd. His long tan nails were like spikes.
I only saw him from the back but he must have stood about twenty feet tall. His head was bald on top, and long white hair coming down from the sides of his head to his shoulders. He turned and had a long, pale nose. His face was the ugliest I had seen.
“Oni! People said a wild Oni is attacking!” Lye ran to me, seeing the giant, hideous man.
His eyes were black as pitch, yellow pupils glowing as he helped himself to some nearby food. The rest of the people ran away from him. Lye pulled on my arms as the beast bellowed, letting out a large drop of gel from it’s behind like it was going to the bathroom. The gel lay there in the street as it lumbered about, the creature doing what it wanted to.
Lye managed to drag me away, the feeling In the pit of my stomach was that I was somehow responsible for this creature being here. Strange things have been happening to me lately, and somewhere in the back of my mind.. I knew that when I thought about Godzilla attacking the city.. this thing was the result..
Lye cried out in surprise, as a sharp dressed man grabbed her. He was dressed in a black business suit, Black shaded glasses and carried a Katana. I watched him as he threatened to slice her throat, so I let go of Lye to save her life. The bodyguards saw what happened, and quickly started to open fire on the man, until the butler stopped them.
“No! You might hit her!” The butler told them before the shooting stopped.
The man quickly dragged Lye away into a building. I ran after him pursuing him through the kitchen we just entered. I ran through another door, walking into a freezer. He went through another door, Lye was resisting him. The man held the blade her throat and said something in Japanese. She soon gave in. I followed them through a hidden door in the freezer, going through after door. I felt like I was in a maze of doors, my mind like a steel trap, giving chase. However, The final door I opened led to an empty room.
I tried to find my way back and eventually ended up back on the street, with no idea what to do next. A Silhouette passed by the alley where I stood. All I saw was a glimpse of frizzy, caramel colored blonde hair. I shook my head.
“She was just a dream,” I told myself as I spotted another similarly dressed Man exit the restaurant.
He spotted me and took off. I, however, was faster than him. He barely had time to pull out his Katana, before I tackled him. I pulled him to his feet and slammed him against the wall.
“Tell me where Lye is!” I yelled at the man, taking away his sword like taking away a toy from a child.
He spoke something in Japanese, so I pushed him out of the alley. I exited the alley intending to follow him, when I ran into a female’s chest, face first.
The woman sounded angry and threw me to the ground. I sat up, and my jaw dropped. I pointed my finger at her and spoke. “It’s.. it’s you!!”
The woman looked down at me, great anger in her eyes. Then the anger turned as surprised as she too pointed at me.
“It’s you! Pervert! How dare you touch a princess that way!” The woman kicked me.
It was her. The woman from my dreams. Her dark Chestnut skin, her body wrapped in leather arm guards, shoulder guards, and handguards.
All in all, she was quite breathtaking, I was already having trouble breathing. Either that or it was from the kick she gave me.
She glared at me with golden eyes, and grab the Yakuza as he tried to sneak away.
“Oh no! If he was chasing you, you’re not leaving here!” She told the Yakuza, speaking perfect English.
She crossed her arms, seeming annoyed. “After all this time I found you, and you summoned a troll in the middle of the city?!” The woman was disappointed.
“Huh? You were looking for me?” I asked her, clearly dumbfounded how she knew me.
“Idiot! You’re the chosen one!” She sounded pissed like I should have known what she was talking about.
“Chosen One?” I was even more confused now.
“Ugggh! You drank the enchanted hot sauce! You lived! YOU’RE the chosen one!” She seemed pissed now.
“Hot sauce..?” I tried to remember the last time that I had hot sauce. Then I remembered. “The last time that I had hot sauce was.. that.. Herby Magic shit! That stuff was horrible!” I exclaimed, still remembering the horrible taste of that stuff in my mouth.
“Yeah well, that stuff is pure Magic. No one ever said it was tasty. You ate all of it, and you survived, so you’re the chosen one.” The woman told me, pulling me up from the street.
“Ate all of it?! No! That stuff was so bad I threw the bottle out!” I told the woman as I got on my feet.
“WHAT? You are an idiot! No wonder there’s a troll roaming around here! You can’t control your powers until you eat it all!” The woman grabbed me and began to drag me away. “Take me to the hot sauce NOW! You have to finish it!”
“I threw it away back home! It’s hundreds of miles away!” I resisted her, and her ridiculous talk about literally searching for a lost bottle of hot sauce.
The woman pushed me away from her, then followed up with a strike, doing some kind of uppercut on my chin with her palm.
“I am the Princess Abrya Roxanna Myst! My kingdom has been taken over by the evil warlord Boulragast! My kingdom has fallen, and I am forced by his Lord the train every day for the games. The only hope I have of liberating my kingdom is the chosen one! One chosen by the hot sauce itself and bestowed upon him great magic of the universe. You have enough power to end the evil warlord’s stranglehold on my kingdom! I have come this far! I have sweated too much, trained too hard, and cried too many tears every night to be denied hope.” The princess pointed at me. “You are that hope. You will take me to the hot sauce, you will complete your destiny, and I don’t want to hear another excuse out of your lips!” The woman told me like she wasn’t going to take it anymore.
“Bitch..” I muttered under my breath.
The princess began to slap the shit out of me. I held up my hands to stop her, and her wrists began to glow. Her strikes were stopped in mid-air.
“That’s rather odd.. Okay.. Maybe there is some merit to what you’re saying.. unusual things have been happening to me as of late..”
“See? You are the chosen one!” Princess Myst exclaimed with glee, looking happy now. I was glad to see a smile on her face.
“Sadly I’ve got other stuff to do before I can do that. Somebody got kidnapped, and it’s my fault!” I told Princess Myst, now turning my attention to the Yakuza.
The Yakuza lay there on the ground, trembling in fear. I got close to him and stretched my hand over his body.
“You have until the count of three to tell me where Lye is before I turn you into a rabbit,” I told him, hoping that he understood English.
“Yum! I love rabbits for dinner, and I am starving!” Princess Myst yelled, leaving me unsure as to whether she was playing along, or quite literally wanting to eat rabbit right now.
The Yakuza began to speak in Japanese and pointed down the block. I pulled him to his feet, and he began to scamper away. I followed him quickly with Princess Myst on my tail, unsure where the hot sauce fit in with all of this mess.
I wasn’t going to abandon Lye, and I was not going to leave Japan at this time, no matter what Princess what’s her name demanded. I was a nobody, a food truck driver from the Creeklends. I had nothing of value, no famous lineage, no money. Whoever this princess was, she was a total nut. It did not matter to me that I have seen her in my dreams.
The princess was outrageously hot but had a screw loose. I had better things to do than cater to her whims right now.
Yakuza tried to give us the slip but somehow was able to know where he was going. Eventually, we were led to the hideout, and I saw Lye tied to the chair.
Before I could say a word, the Yakuza pointed their guns at me. There were about five or six standing guards. Some pulled out Katanas.
In a flash, Princess Myst grabbed one of them and threw that man at another of the Yakuza. They focused their attacks on her. She grabbed a Katana with her bare hands and punched the guy through the wall.
I began to think about tying the Yakuza up with the rope that they used on Lye. The rope began to glow and soon began to untie Lye, and tie itself around the shoes of two of the members. The rope worked its way up like a snake, tying up their entire bodies. The remaining members begin to scatter.
Lye got up and hugged me “Oh honey! You saved my life!” Lye kissed me all over, showing her affection as Princess Myst rolled her eyes.
“Really?! My kingdom has been taken over by an evil conqueror.. but you take your time and kiss that bimbo okay?” Princess Myst scoffed as I tried to get Lye to stop.
“Hey! Don’t call me a bimbo!” Lye told Princess Myst in typical rich bitch fashion.
“Save it girlie.. Your boyfriend and I have the stuff to do.. He is fated to save my kingdom..” Princess Myst spoke, lost in the glory of her prophecy.
“Yeah, whatever. It’s time to go screw in the tower Hunny Buns..” Lye took my hand and led me away in a seductive manner.
“Hey! No fair! That’s my Wizard! Unhand him, seductress!” Princess Myst commanded Lye.
Lye didn’t budge. She looked at the princess in the eyes like she was facing an opponent. I could swear it was almost like they were sizing each other up for battle. Each of them looking at each other with a steely gaze. I began to imagine hearing the drums of war in the distance.
“You ever hear of the golden rule sweetheart? Whoever has the gold makes the rules.. and me.. my house was built with it, brick by brick.. I’m the richest woman in town..” Lye shoved the Princess. “That means I make the rules.. So step off!”
Princess Myst looked pissed. I know that she had believed that I was this great, magical, Wizard, with this great destiny to save her kingdom. All I knew was my closest friend, the richest girl in this kingdom, wanted me to be her husband.
At that moment I looked at Princess Myst, and she looked back at me. It looked like she realized that she made a mistake. That whatever was supposed to happen, clearly was not here. I had no reason to go with her, I had no reason to trust what she said, and I had other people that were not going to let her interfere with what I had here.
I felt sorry for her, and without thinking, I hugged her. Princess Myst accepted the hug, as Lye tugged on me.
“Hey.. come on.. let’s leave her behind..” Lye told me, almost whining with jealousy.
“I am not the Merlin you are looking for.,” I whispered in her ear. “But, you don’t know anyone else in town.. Lye is very rich, I can put you up for the night no problem. You did help save her. Stay with us tonight? Please? I don’t want you getting lost.”
The Princess look like she was going to punch me. Her attitude changed about five seconds later, and she nodded. “I’ve made a mistake.”
I took the hands of both girls as Lye guided us to a nearby police station. We were able to call the butler, and he came straight away to pick us up.
Lye hugged her sister once they were reunited. Aella kissed my cheek to thank me. Princess Myst joined us in the car, a look of utter disgust upon her face as the twins got cozy with me.
“Oh! Aella? Lye? This is Abrya Myst. She helped save Lye and needs a place to stay for the night. Can she stay with us tonight? I was worried about her getting lost. It does not seem that she knows anybody here.” I introduced the princess to the twins.
Let me be clear.. My impression of Princess Myst at the time was that she was crazy. She was just some nut bag I ran into With illusions this great fantasy. Honestly, I had no idea that what she was saying was true. I had no idea that the hot sauce I drink gave me powers, and to control those powers, I needed to drink the rest of it. That the very same bottle of hot sauce was currently getting picked up by the trashmen and that pile of trash was going to be taken to a landfill later that day.
Had I known all this at the time, I could have saved myself a lot of pain and effort, looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack.
I also would have saved a lot of lives, for as soon after I left Japan, an army of warriors from Princess Myst’s kingdom would soon overrun the city of Tokyo. That the Troll moving about the city was just a prelude of things to come. A taste of the chaos that my uncontrolled magic would unleash.
