Chapter 11: The Fairy Forest

Orion Art College

After last night's dinner, I felt happy and I couldn't get rid of the grin that was on my face. I know I've known the guy for a few days but, with this mating bond that Midnight told me before, I couldn't help but fall for Dominic. I didn't know what it was about him but, he was a bit mysterious at first, however, after getting to know him, he's not so bad.

I got to class and then I sat at my usual spot and then Sarah noticed the grin on my face.

"Well, someone is in a good mood. Did something happen at Shay's party? did you two hook up?"

"Shay? no, he's old news. I've found someone even better than him."

"Ooh! details! details!" Sarah asked with a grin.

"Okay, his name is Dominic, he's new to the neighbourhood and he's training to become a lawyer!"

"Ooh~ aren't we lucky. Did you meet him at Shay's party?"

"I sure did, I got a little too drunk at his party and then he took me to his place. Nothing happened, obviously, but, the next day and after recovering from my hangover, I showed him around and even stuck around at my place for dinner."

"He did?! Wow, that was fast. But, here are my two big questions. Firstly, do your grandparents like him he cute?" Sarah asked with a grin.

"Well...Grandfather was a little overprotective of me at first but, I think he's warming up to him and Grandmother, well, let's just say she is hoping and praying for me and Dominic to get together. And as for your second question...he's more than cute, he's a handsome devil. He's like some kind of Greek God."

Sarah squealed a little and she hugs me tightly.

"Amelia! I'm so happy for you! I gotta meet him and see him for myself!"

"Well, Dominic is meeting me at the gates after class. If you're lucky, you might get to meet him."

"All right!"

Sarah spoke excitedly and then class started.

A few hours later...

Once classes were finally over, I left the building with Sarah and I kept an eye out for Dominic. I finally spotted him near the gates and then I told Sarah.

"There he is."

Sarah took a good look at him and she smiled excitedly.

"Ooh~ my, my, my, you weren't kidding when you said he looked like a Greek god. He certainly has the body and muscle for it and he's one handsome devil."

"Told you, now if you'll excuse me."

I told her before I headed over to him but, he was surrounded by girls.

"Hey, handsome."

"Are you new here?"

"Are you waiting for someone?"

"Are you single?"

"Do you mind if we kept you company?"

"Hey! back off! I was here first!"

"Who said you were here first! I wanted to spend time with him first!"

Dominic chuckled nervously and he told them.

"Ladies, ladies, I'm flattered but sadly, I'm already waiting for someone."

"Huh? who?" One of the girls asked.

I pushed my way through the crowd and then I got to Dominic before he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"Hey, Amelia."

"Hi Dominic, were you waiting long?"

"Nope, your timing couldn't have been better, let's go."

Dominic and I left the college gates leaving behind some shocked and surprised girls. Once we got to Krotlos, I started laughing at the girls' faces.

"Oh man, did you see their faces?! it was hilarious! hahaha!!"

"Well, thinking back on it, it was kinda funny when they saw you. They weren't expecting you to be the woman that I was waiting on did they?"

"Nope, some of my classmates know that I'm not the usual type to go dating but, after seeing you, I'm gonna get bombed with questions tomorrow."

"Don't worry about it too much," Dominic told me before wrapped his arm around my waist. "After all, we're spending the afternoon together."

"What do you have planned?"

"It's a surprise."

Dominic took my hand and then he started to lead me somewhere. We walked through the woods for a while until we saw fairies. They were flying around us and I heard them saying hello to Dominic. Some of them were also flying around me and they looked excited to see me. They might have heard about me being his mate.

"They're happy for me because I've finally found my mate," Dominic explained to me.

"I figured that would be the case. They're beautiful."

"I'm glad you think so."

"So, you've brought me to a forest that's filled with fairies and that's my surprise?"

"Nope, it's just up ahead. But first," Dominic got behind me and then he slowly took off my scarf so it tickled against my skin and then ties it around my eyes.

"Hey, what are you-"

"I told you, it's a surprise. I don't want you peeking."

I nodded my head and then Dominic took my hands and he started to lead me through the woods.

I led Amelia by her hands and then one of the fairies whispered in my ear.

"Everything is set up for you, my King."

"Good work and tell the Queen I said thanks."

The fairy nodded her head before flying away from me. I continued to lead Amelia through the forest until we got to the clearing where I had asked the fairies to set up a picnic for us. I got behind Amelia and I said to her.

"Okay, ready?"

Amelia nodded her head and then I took off her blindfold and her eyes widen and she smiled.

"Oh wow, Dominic you did all of this for me?"

"I had some help setting this up," I said as I looked at the fairies who quietly giggling.

"Well, either way, it's still amazing."

"I like seeing her smile, she is so beautiful."

Scorch commented and I had to agree with him, she is beautiful. We sat down on the blanket and we enjoyed our food and drinks.

We sat in the forest with the fairies flying around us making this place look like it came out of a fairytale book or a movie. I ate a tuna sandwich and it was delicious. A few fairies decided to stick around and talk to me some more so they can get to know me. I felt one of them tug on my hair and then I giggled a little.

"I think one of the fairies likes my hair."

"I think they do. They've started braiding it."

He was right, It feels like they were styling my hair.

"We want to make her look pretty, you don't mind do you, Miss Amelia?"

"Not at all, go right ahead."

I spoke with a smile as the fairies continued to braid my hair.

"I think they like you."

"I think so too. Oh, that reminds me," I looked through my bag and I got my sketchbook. "I got something I want to show you."

"What is it?"

I flipped through the pages and I showed Dominic the drawing I drew and it was Scorch. Dominic was impressed when he saw this.

"Wow, that's impressive. I can see why you want to become an artist."

Dominic spoke as he looked at the drawing of Scorch and then he continued to look at the rest of my drawings. While he was busy doing this, the fairies that were styling my hair flew back to me a few times with some small flowers and I felt them pin the flowers in my hair.

"There we go! all done!"

I gently ran my fingers over my hair and they did a nice job with my hair.

"Would you like to see?" One of the fairies asked me before they magically summoned a mirror.

I looked at my hair in the reflection and I liked it. The fairies had plaited some of my hair and they tied some of it back while leaving the rest of it down. They also added some flowers which were a mixture of blue, pink, purple and yellow and they pinned the flowers in the plaits.

"You look so beautiful!"

"Just like a Princess!"

The fairies commented with smiles on their faces.

"Thank you so much, I love it."

"It was our pleasure."

The fairy told me before pecking my cheek making me giggle. I watched them fly away from us and then Dominic chuckled.

"As I said, they love you."

"I'm glad they do, thanks for bringing me out here Dominic."

Dominic smiled and then he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"You're welcome."

Dominic rested his head on top of mine and then we stayed like that for a while.
