Chapter 30: I Hope Dominic Sends Him Back To Hell Where He Belongs

At the entrance to the dark realm
Dominic

My friends and I were near the entrance and then Leila showed up. She came over to us and she said to us.

"Now listen, the ceremony will be starting soon. Xaldin will be expecting his 'mate' at in the courtyard but, what he won't know is that we'll be sneaking in and Amelia will have recovered her feelings for you Dominic."

"How are you going to get her to drink the potion?" I asked as I looked a the bottle that she has in her hands.

"You let me worry about that but first," Leila went into her pouch and then she got some kind of perfume bottle.

"What's that?"

"A little something a friend of mine made to hide your scents and appearance. Stay still."

We looked at her confused before she sprayed us by using that stuff in that perfume bottle. We coughed when she did this and then she smirked proudly.

"There we go, now the enemy won't be able to see or smell you. However, it won't last long, you've only got about 20 minutes to sneak into the castle and crash it."

"That's more than enough for us, let's go."

"Good luck and be careful."

Leila warned us before she teleported away from us. I looked at the others and I said to them.

"You heard the lady, let's go."

The other dragon shifters nodded their heads before we snuck into the realm and heading for the castle.

'Amelia, we're coming!'

Luxas Castle
Amelia

Today was the day that Xaldin is going to claim me as his mate. The way this ritual works is that I have to swear whatever the priest says and then I'm supposed to combine my blood with his and that welcomes me into the horde. A bit like how the werewolves welcome their new warriors into the pack. I was nervous but, excited at the same time. However, a small part of me didn't want this to happen.

I wanted to tell Lucy and Angelica that I didn't want this to happen but, I felt like my voice was lost somewhere and it feels like I'm being controlled by something else.

Lucy gently brushes my hair and then she ties some of it back so that I have plaits on the side of my head while the rest of it was left down. I also have a tiara on my head to match my dress. Lucy applied some make ou on me and then she and Angelica took a few steps back to admire me.

"Oh, lady Amelia, you look so beautiful."

"Thank you so much and thank you for making me look beautiful."

I spoke with a smile and then Lucy said to me.

"You're welcome. We'll check and see how everything is going and in the meantime, you wait here until we let you know it's time to go."

"Okay."

I watched the women leave and now I was alone in the room. I looked at myself in the mirror. I had to admit I look beautiful but, a part of me was telling me this was wrong and Xaldin is not the one who I should be with. I looked at my reflection again and then an image of a woman who I didn't recognise was there. She looked like me but, what surprised me was when she spoke.

"You don't need to worry. Dominic, your true love is coming for you."

"What? who are...?"

Just then, someone knocked on the door making me look to the side and then back at my reflection only to find the woman was gone. I blinked my eyes a few times and then someone knocked on the door again.

"Come in."

I called out to the person who was knocking on the door. The door opened revealing a raven-haired woman who I didn't recognise at first but, she did seem familiar.

"Good evening, Miss Amelia."

"Who are you? have I seen you somewhere before?"

"Forgive me, my name Evie, I'm kinda new around here."

I was surprised at first and then she got a bottle from her apron.

"I had a feeling you were feeling nervous so I brought you something to help with the nerves."

I took the small bottle from her and asked her.

"What is it?"

"A little something my mother taught me to make. She told me it helped with the nerves but, it's best you drank all of it."

I nodded my head before I opened the bottle and I downed it in one go. Just then, I felt a little light-headed until Evie or should I say Leila caught me in time before I fell onto the floor. I blinked a few times and then I shook my head.

"What the...? Leila?"

"Amelia, who's your mate and who do you love the most?"

"Dominic, of course."

"Yes! the antidote worked!" Leila cheered.

"Wait, antidote? Leila, what happened to me? why did I suddenly feel like I was falling for the enemy and why did I feel so much hatred for Dominic? it was just one stupid fight we had."

"It's a bit of a long story but, all you need to know is that Xaldin tricked you. When you went to that cafe, Xaldin was able to put an emotion changing potion into your drink. Once you drank it, you started to fall for that guy and began hating your true mate."

"Oh no...I feel terrible. At least that explains why consciousness was telling me something was wrong."

"Well, at least now you know what was wrong with you. Anyway, the good news is, Dominic and the others are going to crash this ceremony and bring you back."

"Good because I feel like such a fraud in this outfit."

"Hehe, but, you got to admit, it does suit you. Oh! going off-topic! anyway, Xaldin doesn't know that you've snapped out of it but, I fear he may have Zara on his side right now which I why I need you to act like you're still in love with him."

"Oh God...okay fine, but, when will the others come and crash the ceremony?"

"Don't worry, you will know. Anyway, I better scram before someone realises that I'm using a disguise. I'll see you later and be careful."

"Yeah, you too."

I told Leila before she left the room. I sat back down at the dressing table and I looked at myself in the mirror.

'Now I know why Xaldin is known as the Devil because that's exactly what he is. I just hope Dominic sends him back to hell where he belongs.'

Xaldin

I was in my office and I was explaining to Zara that she needs to make sure that none of Dominic's friends including himself don't come here and rescue Amelia.

"Don't worry about a thing Xaldin. I'll make sure they stay away from the ceremony."

"Good, do what you must, I better get going the ceremony will be starting soon."

I told Zara before I left the room. As I walked through the hallways, Diablo started nagging at me again.

"Xaldin! this has gone far enough! stop this mess!!"

"No, Amelia is mine. She looks like Elizabeth but, it doesn't matter. She's mine."

"Don't you get it, Amelia belongs to Dominic! we have our true mate out there!"

"Except we don't know where she is! just suck it up and accept Amelia as our mate!!"

"I will not! she may look like the woman you once loved but, I won't let you do this!"

"What can you do? you're just a dragon spirit talking in my head!"

I shouted at him angrily but, my thoughts were interrupted when I bumped into someone.

"Hey careful!" I shouted at him or should I say her.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going."

When I looked at the girl, she has black hair, aburn eyes and pale skin. She was also wearing the maid's uniform but, what surprised me was how beautiful she looks. We stared at each other for a moment before I snapped out of it.

"Oh no, don't worry about it. I was having a bit of an argument with my dragon spirit. Blame him for distracting me."

The girl giggled when I said this and then she said to me.

"Well, I must be going. I'll see you around my Lord."

The black-haired girl told me before bowing respectfully to me before walking away from me.

"Whoa...that was weird. Why couldn't I stop staring at the woman?"

"If I had to guess, I think she may have been our mate."

"What?! why didn't you say anything?!"

"You said you already have a mate but, if you wanna chase after her, be my guest."

I was shocked when Diablo told me this and then I followed after her scent except, she was already gone. How could she have gotten away so fast? I couldn't let that bother me right now, I already have someone who is going to be my mate.
