The Beginning
She was born a human, turned cat, and was always happy.
So why was her life so hard?
Bella Valstro was never a 'normal' girl. She grew up, she laughed, she cried, like any other kid. She was born on June 11th in Venice, Italy, her home. Her parents would tell her stories of when she was younger.
"We had a difficult time coming up with your name," Her dad would say, "Your mom wanted your first name to be Rain."
"But he put an end to that," Her mom chuckled.
"So we made it your middle name," Her dad continued, "She then wanted Meadow as your first name."
"But he said 'With a name like that, she'd get made fun of,'" Her mom said, "So then we picked Bella."
"Bella Rain Valstro."
But she was made fun of anyway.
Not because of her name, but because of something else. Something she loved about herself, but detested at the same time. She loved being unique, and no one was more unique than her.
She loved to be weird. In her eyes, normal was boring. Even before 'turned cat' she was weird. She would tell stories to her hundreds of stuffed animals. She would make up the strangest stories and say they were true.
Her imagination was wild.
Her mom had been a famous scientist. On special days she would bring Bella to the lab with her. Like her birthday, or when Bella had off school but no one would be home.
Everyone loved the little bundle of joy at the lab. She was a bit too curious, but her mom always kept a good eye on her.
But that day, her mom didn't bring her to the lab because it was her birthday, or she had off school. This was an extra special reason.
And that reason would change Bella's life forever.
