~300 Years Later~

Taehyung kept his cursed human heart for 300 years, eagerly waiting for Yoongi’s rebirth. God watched Taehyung’s anguish, and so he decided to release him from his pain by giving him what he wanted.

It was scheduled that Yoongi’s rebirth should occur after his death by 500 years, but God decided otherwise.

God loved Taehyung the most, he was connected to this creation the most out of all his other creations and so he tried to gain him back by giving him that one thing he wanted the most. God also didn’t like the fact that there was something holding Taehyung down.

He had high hopes for Taehyung ever since Namjoon has officially disappeared from the universe. He wanted Taehyung to rule Heaven, he also gave him his name back and allowed Jimin to record every detail about Taehyung which for a brief moment made Taehyung happy, but that glimpse of happiness disappeared when he remembered that Yoongi wasn’t around to share this happy news with him.

Even after all what God was doing for Taehyung’s sake, he still declined the proposition, not once but at least a hundred times because God never stopped asking.

Taehyung roamed Earth while staying invisible during those 300 years with Jungkook by his side. Tae’s title as the Devil couldn’t be erased from the memories of the humans because God didn’t want to disturb the balance on Earth, and surprisingly Taehyung wasn’t bothered by it since clearing his name in front of the Angels and himself were what mattered to him the most.

Taehyung always had that fear that he will end being lonely, but now everything changed. He became close friends with Jimin who was now ruling Heaven in Tae’s stead after Namjoon. Taehyung also became Hoseok’s rival, they do spar from time to time, and Hoseok always ended up losing and whining at how it’s unfair, but he constantly caught that glimpse of happiness in Taehyung’s eyes whenever they spar.

He got closer to the Horsemen as well especially War, Pestilence, Health and Fortune since he felt like those were the ones with the most brain cells. Death was hard to approach, but Love succeeded in creeping Taehyung out every time they met which usually ends up in Taehyung either running away from him or actually threatening him. Finally, his relationship with Famine and Birth was full of ‘If I’m dumb, you are dumber.’

On the other hand, Taehyung’s relationship with God didn’t change much, but Taehyung actually stopped looking at God in the eyes because he was afraid to see the same eyes which were responsible for killing Yoongi.

God understood that much, but it made him feel like he lost the connection he used to have with Taehyung and so for the second time he made Heaven shake.

“Taehyung, I have news for you,” Hoseok showed up in front of Taehyung as Tae flashed him a smile, and they stood to have a conversation.

“So what is it?” Tae asked.

“It’s Yoongi, his rebirth has been rescheduled, but there is something wrong,” Hoseok informed Tae which made Taehyung gulp in anticipation.

“I feel his presence too. That’s why I’m in Korea, but I can’t seem to exactly locate him. Weirdly enough, he isn’t moving, why?” Tae asked in confusion.

Hoseok bit his lower lip and said, “I think you should find out yourself. God said something about you won’t feel pain again this time.”

“What does that even mean?”

“I don’t know because I can’t pinpoint his location too. God didn’t tell any of us. I think he wants you to be the first to find him.”

“Okay, thanks. I will go now,” Taehyung hurriedly said and ran to where his heart was leading him to go.

He didn’t know the location, and he wasn’t aware of where he was heading to, but his body was moving on its own.

However, while he was running, a familiar Human passed by him who suddenly halted, feeling the presence of Taehyung even though Tae was invisible which made Taehyung stop too.

Tae’s eyes grew wide seeing the person in front of him. Why? What is he doing here? Taehyung thought.

“He committed suicide after Yoongi’s death. So he was committed to getting reborn again,” Jimin informed him.

Taehyung clenched his fists as he saw Jin turn and leave. I shouldn’t interfere this time, Tae sadly thought while reminiscing all the times Jin was dragged down because of him.

“What are you doing here Jimin? Don’t you have Heaven to rule?” Taehyung asked him but received a pout from Jimin instead.

“Yah! I came here to tell you where Yoongi is,” Jimin said while playfully hitting Taehyung’s shoulder.

“Yah, what took you so long?” Tae impatiently hollered at him.

“Okay okay, my bad. He is at a jewellery store. Also, you will need these,” Jimin took out a credit card and handed it over to Taehyung, who looked at it confused.

“What am I supposed to do with that?”

“You’ll know, you’ll know. Just go,” Jimin pushed Taehyung to go and waved at him then left to go to Heaven.

Taehyung went where Jimin has guided him to go to and to his surprise, he found Jungkook waiting for him outside the store.

“I can’t believe it, I found this place before you, and man you’ll be surprised. Also, show yourself, you can’t take Yoongi being invisible,” Kookie said which baffled me.

“No, I don’t want to trouble him. I just wanna see him,” Taehyung hesitantly took few steps back.

“Okay okay, come with me. I will show myself but promise me you won’t do anything which will scare the Humans,” Jungkook warned, gaining a nod from Taehyung.

Both of them entered the store as one of the sellers formally greeted Jungkook and asked him multiple questions. Jungkook eyed Taehyung to follow him somewhere inside the store.

“I heard you got a valuable item today morning,” Jungkook said.

“Y-Yes but it’s extremely expensive,” the male seller said worriedly.

“I would like to have a look,” Jungkook sternly said while faking a smile at the seller probably trying to sweet-talk him.

The seller got up and went to fetch the item, and the moment the seller came back with the item. Taehyung’s eyes brimmed with tears. His heart relaxed and his body thanked him for releasing it from the long torture.

Jungkook glanced at Taehyung with the corner of his eyes and knew it was the right one, so he spoke with the seller and before that he asked Taehyung to wait for him outside.

Kookie paid for the jewel and asked the seller for a necklace which will suit it then he walked outside the store, meeting with a crouched Taehyung, who was crying a river.

“Take it and stop crying like that. You are embarrassing me,” Jungkook placed the necklace around Taehyung’s neck and waited for Taehyung to stop crying.

“Are you happy now?” God said which caught both their attentions so Taehyung got up and rubbed away his tears.

He looked up at God’s eyes which surprised God as Taehyung hummed and said, “Even though I won’t be able to talk to him ever again, I think this is better. At least none of us will feel any kind of pain.”

God smiled and approached Taehyung who was holding the gem then ruffled his hair which made Jungkook to fake cough and to avert his gaze as if he was witnessing a romantic moment.

“I wanted to ease your pain by letting him as close as possible to your human heart, so how are you feeling?”

“Well! My body isn’t mad at me anymore.”

“So Taehyung does this mean you are going back to Heaven now?” God asked in hope of hearing a positive answer because he didn’t know what more to do in order to gain back the one he cared about the most.

“You aren’t gonna give up, are you?” Taehyung giggled, earning a head shake from God then he proceeded, “I have nothing left to do on Earth anyway, so I guess that’s finally a yes from me.”
