I stared at the ring on my finger. It was truly very beautiful.
When I woke up in the hospital j had it on my finger, I asked my mom about It but she said that a very dear friend of mine had given it.
Neither did she tell the name nor if it was he or she.
It looked like a promise ring with seven stones in a line and a ribbon or infinity sign with a small stone in the middle of it too.
But then I dismissed the idea, who would give me a promise ring, no one.
A ping from my phone brought me out from my thoughts,
Karan: hey!! Can I call you? I need to tell you something important.
A smile crept up my face. I called him and raised my head up to face a scowling Amey.
I have an awesome idea.!!!
" Hi baby," I said in an overly cheerful voice.
"Ohkay, whom did you kill?" Karan asked.
I chuckled and shook my head, aware of the ever-intensifying gaze on me.
"Anyways I wanted to tell you something really important." Said he.
I waited for him for 5 minutes but he still hadn't uttered a word.
"Are you there? You were going to tell me anything."e
He cleared his throat, " it is kind of unbelievable even for me" he said.
"Okay, spill quickly," I said.
"IBANGEDTANYA," he said in one go which made it hard for me to understand what he said.
"Calm down babe, tell me again and slowly this time," I said.
"Okay, hmm... I banged Tanya?" He aId which looked like he was asking a question.
"Are you asking or telling me?" I said
"Wait what?" I squealed and accidentally ended the call.
Arun stopped the car hearing me scream.
"Are you okay? What happened why did you scream" asked Arun while Amey watched me with a confused expression.
"Goofy Goofy," said Tanya, I rolled my eyes at her stupid Mickey mouse reference.
I shook my head.
"Did someone propose to you?" Asked Tanya with a smirk on her face.
"Yeah something like that," I said faking a lovesick smile.
As soon as the words left my mouth, Amey jumped out of the car and banged the door shut.
We all sat watching him, he walked for a while and stopped before a tree.
Before anyone could understand what happened he started punching the tree.
And then he stopped, his shoulders moving as he took ragged breaths.
We all got out of the car and went after him, but none of us dared to go near him.
No one wanted to lose their life.
He turned towards us, eyes bloodshot.
I looked down at his hand it was badly bruised and blood was coming out from the wounds.
He stood there, a distant look in his eyes.
I ran to the jeep and brought out a first aid box and without looking at him, under the scrutiny of his accusing eyes I walked towards him.
I then gently took his hand and motioned him to sit down
I first washed his wound and then fabbed some cotton soaked with antiseptic gently on his wounds. He hissed and jerked his hand back, I tightened my hold and started cleaning it.
I was so engrossed in bandaging it neatly that I didn't notice that my hair we're coming in my eyes until Amey tucked them behind my ear and that small gesture melted my bones and butterflies fluttered in my stomach.
