She's been hiding in her room for days now. We had eight days left before we had to take action, but now we have a little less than a day. Killian and I have been trying to brain storm, but all we could come up with is to talk to Trenton. He's been ignoring our calls though. That puts us back to square one.
"I don't know what to do about her anymore. I don't know if she even wants to survive this with us. She just found out she's the one thing she swore she would never be," Killian whispered, staring into the dark space that was her room. She laid there, watching Netflix without a care in the world.
"Killian, I-I have something I want to say," I said in a hushed voice, closing Lilith's door quickly. Killian turned to me quizzically.
"What is it?" He questioned.
"I'm in love with Lilith. That's as simply as I can put it. I'm so madly in love with her. She's it for me. I can't imagine myself falling for anyone else. She's all I want and more," I tailed off, staring at my feet now.
"I know," he said lowly. I moved my eyes up to him now.
"Wh- How?" I asked.
"I see the way you both exchange glances or pretend to ignore each other. It's so obvious that you both are meant for each other," Killian slightly smiled at that. There was a far away look in his eyes. It was as if he was bidding a farewell to something or someone.
"Are you mad?" I shyly raised my eyes from his eyes to above him, avoiding his eyes now.
"No, I'm not. I'm so happy for her. She deserves this in her heart," he told me. I smiled widely.
"I asked her to marry me," I announced.
"You what?" He almost hollered. I froze for a moment, chuckling awkwardly. I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly.
"It was when I stole her away from you when we found Dakota," I filled him in. He sent daggers in the forms of glares my way.
"Why didn't you even ask me?" He slapped the back of my head harshly. I winced at that.
"I didn't know you were her dad at the time!" I defended myself quickly.
"Doesn't matter!" Killian hollered, rolling his eyes.
"This is irrelevant. We need to figure out how to survive this. How do we wake Lilith up?" I asked, hesitantly. Killian paused for a moment, thinking.
"I don't know. I don’t know if we can wake her up from this,” Killian answered. He seemed defeated, but I couldn’t have that. We all need to survive this.
“I- I’m going to try again. She needs me. This is her time of need, and I’m not going to leave her. Figure out some ideas. I’m going to save Lilith,” I told Killian, turning on my heel to find something to revive the shell of the love of my life.
