Awakening
His eyes needed no light to see,
and see they did,
what hid behind the hairless apes.
He stumbled back, appalled.
As the sun's warmth dispelled the cold,
so too a thought broke his delusion:
the Divine was anything but,
for his creations harboured tainted thoughts,
and they were made in his image.
They all were.
The Leviathan had spoke true:
All was not as it seemed.
