Chapter Twenty Seven.

I tried lifting my arm to push him away, but they did not respond. His eyes were focused on my lips. What the hell is he doing? His eyes are shifting from black to crystal blue eyes. Come on Ayla pull yourself together, it is just because of the soul pull. He doesn’t want to be with you, he is just toying with your feelings. Snap out of it snap out of it. I finally pulled enough strength to push him away from me.

“Are you crazy? What is wrong with you?” Moving away, putting as much space between us.

“I am so sorry, I haven’t been able to feed. I haven’t been able to sleep. Not being with you is driving me insane. I know what I said, about not being able to be with you. But I spoke with my dad, at first he was not too supportive, but then my mom made him change his mind. I can be with you. I needed to tell you, I needed to tell you that I love you and I cannot live without you. I cannot stress enough how sorry I am.” He slowly made his way towards me. Excitement made his eyes sparkle.

I am not going to lie, my heart swells up, doing a thousand cartwheels when he said those words to me. I wanted to hug him and tell him that I love him too. That everything he had said to me is forgotten. But I can't. I can't let him off the hook that easy right? Right? Why couldn’t he have just asked his father in the first place? We could have saved ourselves a lot of pain and tears.

“No, why? No, you cannot do that. What is wrong with you? Are you trying to toy with my feelings? Am I a fucken joke to you? Why?” I yelled at him hitting him on the chest, repeatedly.

“No, no get you I can’t do this right now. After two months I had come to the acceptance that you didn't like me. Why come now? Was it because you thought I was with Zaiden? You know what don't answer that just leave.” I tried shoving him out of my room but he did not budge.

“I’ll leave in one condition. Tomorrow before the ball we have to talk, please. I am truly sorry. I know I fucked up, but I truly love you. I have for a while. I know it does not seem like it. But believe me, if you give me a second chance I will make it up to you. Hell, I will walk through hell for you.” He got on his knees, hugging me from my waist.

“I’ll think about it.” I really needed him out of my room.

My head kept spinning, as I saw him walk out of the room. As soon as the door shut I sat on the bed. How can he ask me to go back with him if he put me through, pain? Am I expected to go back with him? All because he is my Kindred Soul, and even though the pull is going to intensify every day as long as I am around him; it will become inevitable. Yes, I liked him a lot. I even thought that at some point I loved him, but I cannot just go back with him because he wants to.

Somehow during the night, I had fallen asleep overthinking the situation. In the morning Adrastea bragged in my room pulling clothes out of my bag, forcing me to hurry up so we can go shipping with her mother. But this time, I was not looking forward to it. The clock is just ticking and every minute that went by meant that I had to go talk to Alexander. I have to show up and tell him whether or not I wanted to be with him. So far I was still in shock. Even when I visited my mothers last night they were happy that he wanted me back. When I asked what I should do, they only smiled and they told me that I would know when the time is right.

How will I know? When, I see him?

“We are here!” Adrastea ran out of the carriage into the boutique.

The Queen and I soon followed, chuckling at Adrastea, she looks like a child in the candy store. When I entered the boutique it was large filled with a beautiful ball gown and formal gowns. I still don’t know if they accept human money here. Although Adratsrea said that she will be paying I still don’t feel comfortable.

“What is wrong my dear?” Queen Cressida asked.

“Oh, it’s nothing, just thinking.” Thinking if I should take your son back and become the new queen of Garmoniya.

“Oh, you are still thinking if you are going to take my son back.” She casually said before moving to a different dress.

“ know about that?” Did he tell her?

“My son came to me last night. I assumed he finally told you, but he did not look happy. You know, I am on your side. I did tell him not to expect to be accepted with open arms the first time. He screwed up and bad, don’t let him off that easy. Make him fight for you."She is on my side. Now I know what to do, just like she told me. I was going to do what she said. I will make her son work for it.

“I know I shouldn't be asking, and you don't have to. But did you and King Cedric have trouble like us?” Asking the Queen.

“At first, Cedric did not want to have a Kindred Soul. You see he used to be a womanizer. A big manwhore. He rejected me on the spot. But just like Alexander, he did not go through the proper procedure. I was devastated. I cried for many nights. One day he wanted me back, then when I knew he only wanted me to become king. So, I made him court me for two years.” Laughing at the memory.

“Two years? Well, you both look so in love now.” I had stopped on a long bright red dress, and I knew this was Adreastea’s dress. She is the only one that can pull it off.

When I showed it to her, she instantly fell in love with it. It was a soft matte red dress that was off the shoulder. Small rubies were encrusted along the top part of the dress. It was short on the front and it had a long on the back.

“Drea, you look beautiful.” Giving her a hug.

“Thank you! Your turn!” She started clapping her hands looking through the dresses.

We had spent hours looking through the dresses, somehow I did not feel like any of them are good enough for me. Some were too bright, some are boring, some have too many gems. It just seems that I was not meant to go to this bell. But they didn't pressure me. Queen Cressida said that we have to feel a spark with every dress we choose. Just like if you're picking a wedding dress.

We ended up leaving the boutique empty-handed, well not totally. I left with beautiful black lace heels. Queen Cressida said that she can lend me a dress that she saved back in her day. As soon as we arrived at the palace the Queen ushered us to our room, so we could get started on hair and makeup. If they would have thrown me into the shower, they would have. I quickly showered. Not even allowing me to properly moisturize, they pushed me down to the chair they quickly got ready to work on my hair and makeup. Apparently, we have been running behind schedule, which did not leave me enough time to meet up with Alexander.

They spent two hours on my hair and makeup, I asked, well begged them to do a more natural look.

Letting my hair flow down in soft waves. Braids kept the hair out of my face. Little purple flowers were laced through the braid, to finish off the look, they created this rose on the back of my head. I never really liked wearing makeup mostly because my stepmother didn’t let me. They gave me a soft wing liner, which made my green eyes pop. Bold red lips completed my look.

Somehow I was fidgeting, as the time ticked by. I was currently looking at expensive jewelry, but I decided to wear the necklace that Daniel had given me. And that is all, I really do not know how to be girly.

“Oh dear, you… you look amazing.” Queen Cressida said walking into my room with a large black bag, which I assume it’s the dress she is going to lend me.

“Thank you,” Still pacing around the room. The music started to play downstairs. You can hear vampires chattering and having a good time.

“Honey, you are going to drive yourself crazy, calm down.” Pulling me to sit down next to her.

“Can I ask you something?” Giving me a small nod. “Do you think that… Alexander and I will ever be happy?”

“Baby, there is always going to be problems, but that cannot stop you from loving each other. Now let’s get you ready to make my son begs for you.” Hopping off the bed unzipping the dress.

Queen Cressida helped me get dressed, the whole time I held my eyes shut. Taking deep breathes every once in a while to steady my nerves.

“You look beautiful, this dress was made for you. I knew this one was going to come in handy one day.” That is when I opened my eyes.

The dress was indeed beautiful, and it made me feel like a princess. Who would have known that black was my color. It has an A-line princess cut, it was off the shoulder with lace. It had a solid black top with tiny diamonds encrusted along the top. The dress dragged behind me, although I had the four in heels on. The dress was still much longer than I was. The skirt was a long solid back that had a flare of lace fabric making the dress look with lots of volume.

I felt beautiful and elegant, all I needed was the crown to look like a princess.
