Summary

Seven years ago, Edara and the Free Lands were torn apart by Apostalys, and the war that followed his arrival. Then one night, a star falls, and ancient gears begin to turn. Cyrus washes ashore in Edara with a voice in his head, a growing magical power, and a demonic force on his trail. Val is torn from his peaceful exile by a new enemy, one who threatens to drag the man once known as "The Iron Wolf", and the rest of Edara, back to the depths of war. And in the heart of Rene's pleasure district, BC receives a signal, as a looming shadow prepares to step into the light. Welcome to the first chapter. Welcome to the Seventh Valkyrie.

Thank you to Mom and Dad for never letting me watch too much TV and encouraging me to read books instead. I could never have done this without your support.

Also, thank you to Smitty, Noah, Apollo, Espinoza, Zak, Guo-seph Gordon-Levitt, Jessica, Ms. Weiser and Ms. Reed, Dr. Antoine, Swanson and Hightower and Big Gonz, Grandpa and Fizzie, Uncle John, Mac and Spencer, the boys at AT and everyone at The Telling Room, Brené, Trey and the BB team, JZ and Liz, and finally, EA and Hayden.

You were the ones who believed in me through word or deed even when sometimes I didn’t believe in myself, and it’s because of that that I had the strength to reach where I am today.

It’s been a long journey, and the road ahead is even harder than the one before it, but I’m ready.
