Prologue
Mythol, translation: Eternal
Our home has been held together by the hands of Goddess for centuries, since her beginning. It continues to live, surrounded by the Universe we have yet to discover ourselves. But Mythol is a world that creatures of darkness and corruption have begun to destroy bit by bit. The six regions fought against each other for power as well: Faeron, Tiriel, Rhovania, Eruva, Dhiaga and Arsa. They spilled blood and buried the innocent, and in the end destroyed themselves. Only one region stood untouched, one of patience that was hidden away.
The region was called Nessima.
During their bloodshed, they had forgotten that the true enemy had infiltrated their homes. Their souls. Seeing their mistakes, the seven nations came together in peace and brought their powers to create the brave and bold fighters known as Guardians.
They protect us from the unknown that lurk through, mortal or other. But there are still those who fight against the light, to attain what they seek. People label them as evil, others would say otherwise.
There were also beings of Divinity, namely Angels and Demons. Naturally, they were enemies due to their vastly different morals and views.
But it is more than rare to see these clashing forces have a single connection with one another, whether it be Angel and Demon, Mortal and Angel, or Demon and Mortal.
The history of Mythol is not very clear due to the damage of the war, even when many have tried to uncover the secrets they had lost centuries ago. One fragment has been kept hidden from every faction of the known superior species. The history of an unknown entity known as Hanner.
It was one of the greatest sources of conflict between Angels and Demons, and their greatest failures. They were hunted down like wild animals, and the same fate was delivered to their creators. Anyone who had tried to rebel against their extermination, as a result, were killed as well. It seemed every trace of their existence was either erased or covered up. There were very slim chances that some Hanner had assimilated among Angels or Demons.
But it was highly unlikely that they ever could, not without getting caught.
Even though underneath the seams, Mythol is a devastatingly broken world. It’s our connections that keep us together. In such a strong hold.
All beings, no matter who or what they may be, have their own connections that may never be severed between those they fight for or against, whether they see the world around them in different light. Whom they care deeply for and would die for them, or someone that blinds them with sudden rage that would tempt the monster within themselves.
These six unlikely souls are no exception, their ties were stronger than any.
