Bloodlust... or maybe just lust?

I stood in front of the club in a short black dress that revealed a little too much skin for my liking, but it was Gabriel’s favorite, and it was his birthday after all.

A bright blue neon sign that read “Liquid” hung over the entrance, and loud hip-hop music could be heard blaring from across the street outside. I sighed and made my way over to the bouncers without bothering to wait in line.

Looking up, I see a huge, bulky, dark-skinned man with a shaved head eyeing me up and down, a smirk tugging at his lips, “Name.” He said in a deep, gruff voice. His dark eyes had a look of disapproval. Probably due to the fact that I was underage.

“Annabelle Satcher.”

He checked the list, nodded at me, and then turned to another bouncer that looked like Vin Diesel, “She’s VIP, let her in.”

The door that the bouncer swung open was inconspicuous, but once I stepped inside the club, the interior was enormous. Lights blinking everywhere as if we were at a laser show. There were professional dancers, music that could have deafened anyone, but no one was complaining, it just made the beat course through your veins so you’d want to dance all night long, no liquid courage needed. There was more than one stage with its own dance floor, even an underground room in the back for those who were into ganja, among other things. This here was my habitat. People with sketchy or hard beginnings in this town, we’d end up here, burning our lungs out, tripping on acid.

I’d be lying if I said never wondered if this was what was all in store for me.

Vin Diesel moved out of the way and motioned for me to go in. Once inside, I met a crowd of overly hyped teenagers and college students, some already drunk or high. I made my way to the back of the club where I had noticed a familiar redhead bouncing up and down to the beat of the music.

“Angie!” I called for her, waving a hand in the air. She turned around and came bounding up to me with a huge grin plastered on her face.

“Anna! You’re here, and you look so fine! Gabe is going to go crazy when he sees you!” She grabbed my wrist and turned to look for Gabriel, “Ugh, where is that boy when you need him?”

“Angie calm down, let him socialize, he’ll come looking for me eventually,” I said, giggling at her pouty face.

Fine,” she replied, dragging out the word with her shoulders slumped and eyes slit, playfully glaring at me. Then she perked up and smiled cheekily, “Anyway, you’re right I mean the boy can’t get his hands off you.”

“Angie, shut up! Let’s just go enjoy the party.”

“Oh, all right, come on we have our own table.”

We walked over to the table, and I smiled at the sight of my friends, all talking animatedly with drinks in hand. As soon as I stepped into view, a slender girl with dirty blonde hair who we knew as the bubbly, popular, socialite of our group came up to me and gave me a bear hug.

“Anna! Finally! We were waiting for you,” she turned to the others, “Let’s go dance, bitches!”

Gabbie, always so proper.

I was occupied with dancing when I felt a warm body press up against mine, and muscular arms wrap around my waist, “Hello Annie, I think you forgot something,” He mumbled against my neck.

“Gabriel!” I turned around to meet his baby blue eyes, “Happy birthday, babe!”

“How long have you been here?” He said with a frown.

“Only about fifteen minutes, don’t get your panties in a bunch.”

He smiled, “I just wanted to see you.” Just then, the music changed to a slow, romantic melody. Gabriel smirked devilishly.

“Oh, no,” I turned to walk away, but he pulled me back.

“Oh, no you don’t. You owe me a birthday dance.”

“Fineeee,” I said, sounding like Angie had a few minutes before.

Gabriel wrapped his arms around my waist and rested them on the small of my back. I wrapped mine around his neck and pulled him close to me. We were waltzing to modern music as if it were the 50′s, an unusual sight in a discotheque filled with the young-spirited beginnings of the Millenials. As we started swaying, my head resting on his shoulder, one of his hands left my back to trail along my side and then up and down my arm, moving up to my shoulder and then lifting my chin up so he could look me in the eyes. He smiled tenderly and leaned in to kiss me.

As I was about to close my eyes, I got this strange feeling, as if somebody were watching me. I put my hands on his chest and looked around the club. Everybody seemed to be minding their own business, dancing around drunkenly.

“What’s wrong?” Gabriel turned to see what I was looking at.

“Nothing, I just felt... strange,” I pulled his face back to mine and added, “Never mind, babe, I’m just paranoid.”

He seemed confused for a second, but then he looked down at my lips and all was forgotten. He mumbled an okay and leaned in to kiss me again.

An hour later I was feeling a little out of breath and excused myself to go get a drink. I walked over to the bar slowly, feeling a little tipsy from the alcohol my friends had snuck into some flasks and made a mental note to cut myself off. I had to dive Angie home, after all.

As I walked closer to the bar, a strange, but enthralling aroma took over my senses, and I noticed that the bartender across from me was a little young, and way too handsome for reality. He looked so out of place as if he’d jumped straight out of a magazine.

He must have noticed me staring and smirked, “Can I get you something?”

Yeah, your name and your number.

I mentally scolded myself for being attracted to the guy, Gosh, Anna, get it together, you’re taken!

I smiled awkwardly, “Just some water.”

He seemed surprised, “I’m the designated driver,” I added.

“Okay ma’am,” He turned around and then turned back to me with a glass in hand, “Regular or sparkling?”

Because he seemed to stare into my eyes for a little too long, I smiled shyly, noticing how piercing his green eyes were, like he could see right through me.

He returned the smile, “Okay.”

As he turned to get the water I thought I saw him reach for something in his front pocket, but his back was turned to me, so I dismissed the thought as paranoia. He handed me a water bottle and a glass filled with ice.

I mumbled a thank you, so he smiled at me and said, “No problem young lady, I’m at your service.” He did a hand gesture as if he were a soldier saluting me, and I giggled. The mystifying young man smiled at me again, and I noticed he had a stunning smile, with perfect white teeth and sharp canines like a vampire, it was kind of attractive, though.

He had an alluring quality that couldn’t help me from smiling or trying to form a conversation with him, who was this guy? I’d never seen him around before. “I don’t mean to be nosy, but does that perfume I smell belong to you?”

“Indeed, it does.” He replied with the same serene tone as before.

Leaning forward on the bar as if I were about to tell him a secret, I said, “I actually still haven’t gotten my boyfriend’s birthday present yet, which is what we’re celebrating today. I really like your perfume, mind telling me which one it is?”

I could have sworn he stared at me at a loss for words for a few quick seconds before he composed himself, “You won’t find it being sold these days, it’s an old family heirloom.”

“Oh, I see... Any advice, Mr. Bartender?”

He seemed to be rolling his eyes backward, or just staring at the ceiling for a little too long. It was an uncomfortable couple of seconds before he said, “I hear boys your age are really into video game consoles, and computer games, especially violent ones. Hope that helps.”

“I’ll look into it, thanks!” I flashed him a bright smile and left his pay on the counter before leaving with my water.

Smiling, I made my way over to my table with the bottle and the glass of water. Gabriel was sitting there with a couple of the guys, telling our friends about his suspicion that his parents were going to get him a car because he had just turned seventeen.

When he saw me, he waved me over and patted the seat next to him. He put an arm around my shoulders as soon as I sat down, probably staking his claim in front of the other guys. Men, I thought.

Angie was sitting across from us eyeing Gabriel’s friend Chris, a cute blond-haired guy with big brown eyes and the most adorable freckles. I smiled at her knowingly, to which she mouthed ‘help’ at me.

I turned to Chris and said, “Hey Chris, have you met my friend Angie?”

He turned to her and said, “I don’t believe I’ve had the pleasure. Hello Angie, I’m Chris, Gabriel’s better half.”

Gabriel narrowed his eyes jokingly, “Ha-ha, you’re so funny Chris, but we all know I’m the better and more handsome version.”

Chris and Gabriel looked nothing alike. Chris was shorter and skinnier, with slightly curly blond hair and an innocent demeanor. He always got the ‘aww’ factor from girls with his doe eyes and freckles, while Gabriel, tall and fit, with straight black hair and baby blue eyes, could be described as sexy, rather than cute. They always came as a pair, though. The two were inseparable since childhood because they were neighbors and they’d grown up together. Sometimes it was hard to think of them as different people.

Chris puffed his chest out and said, “No you’re not.” Then he gave Gabe a devious smile and turned to Angie, “What do you think, Angie, we need an attractive girl’s opinion.”

Angie blushed and managed to stutter an, “I -I don’t know, I think you’re both good looking.”

I laughed and said, “Leave the girl alone, I think we all know who the better-looking one is,” I gave Gabe a flirty smile and trailed my finger along his chest, “clearly... it’s Chris.”

Gabriel’s smiling lips curved to form an ‘o’ shape; he looked mock hurt. Putting a hand to his chest, he gasped dramatically. “Annabelle Satcher, you have broken my heart.”

I laughed and then noticed I was feeling a little lightheaded, which escalated to dizzy. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

Angie must have also noticed because she looked at me and said, “Anna, are you okay?”

“Yeah... I just... I need some fresh air.” I turned to Gabriel, “Will you excuse me for a second, baby? I’m gonna go outside for a breather, I’ll be right back.”

“Okay, but are you sure you want to go alone?” He said, his voice laced with concern.

“Yeah, you guys keep talking I won’t take long.”

“All right,” He gave me a peck on the lips as I stood up.

I went out through the back door, closed my eyes, and took a deep breath.

It was a strange night, there seemed to be a chill in the air. I could’ve sworn it hadn’t been this cold before in Cali. As soon as I opened my eyes, I sensed that something was out of place. It was an intense feeling, something bad was going to happen.

Deep breaths, Annie.

I noticed I was becoming paranoid again and decided to go for an evening stroll to calm my nerves.

I’d only managed to walk a few steps before I felt it, that foreboding again, something was drastically wrong. All of a sudden everything felt hazy, a dream-like vision, I tried to focus my blurry gaze on a street lamp, and saw the silhouette of a person block my view. I tried to take a step forward, but stumbled and fell into the person’s arms. I recognized a familiar pair of green eyes staring down at me as the stranger pulled me into his arms, picking me up bridal style, and then everything was consumed by darkness.

I woke up groggily, not knowing where I was or how I got there. I was feeling dazed, and I knew I must have been high on some sort of drug. I opened my eyes to scan my surroundings, and noticed I was in a small room.

It looked strangely cozy and welcoming, but it wasn’t mine. As I struggled to get up, I came to a dreadful realization. I had cuffs binding my wrists and ankles. Panicking, I bolted upright.

This can’t be right, I must be dreaming! I thought.

This can’t be happening!

I started hyperventilating, then heard some noises originating from outside the room. Someone was coming.
Scared out of my wits, I did the only thing I could think of, I lied back down and pretended to be asleep.

As I heard the door open, I held my breath. My heart was beating so hard that it wouldn’t have surprised me if someone heard it from across the room.
Then I felt the bed shift, and a cold hand on my shoulder, shaking me gently. I flinched away from the stranger’s touch and curled into a fetal position.

“It’s okay Annabelle, don’t be scared. I don’t mean you any harm,” I recognized the voice was that of a female, and relaxed a little, “I need you to get up, okay?”

I felt a strange need to look at her. I had no idea why, but I wanted to know if her face was as beautiful as her voice was. I slowly turned my head, and when my eyes met hers, my breath hitched. She looked like an angel. She smiled warmly at me and helped me get into a sitting position. I stared at her with my mouth gaping open, blinked a couple of times to see if she was real, and then eyed her suspiciously, slightly glaring at her.

“Hello, my name is Stella,” she said.

When I didn’t answer, she held something out to me. It was a bowl and a mouthwash. “Here, I’m supposed to give you this, just take it and you can spit it out into the bowl. I’ll bring you some food after, you must be hungry.”

I looked at the bottle of Listerine, and then down at my cuffed hands.

“Here, I’ll help,” she opened the mouthwash and held it to my lips, “Drink it, go ahead, it’s not drugged or anything,” I felt the need to obey her, so I took the mouthwash and spit it out into the bucket. I did this a couple of times until I felt satisfied.

I then looked up at her eyes, and I noticed she had a piercing gaze, like the bartender at Gabe’s party.

Shit. Gabe. Angie. The party!

All the memories came flooding back to me, including how I had noticed the bartender reach for something in his pocket before handing me a drink and then recognized him as the person who caught me when I fainted outside.

He must’ve drugged my drink! Holy shit, I’ve been kidnapped! I thought.

“Well I’m going to get you something to eat, I’ll be back in a minute.” She got up and was about to leave when I finally found my voice.

She turned to me slowly and said, “What is it?”

I searched my mind for something to say, a way to get myself out of this mess, and came up with a little plan, “My ankles. They hurt where they’re cuffed. I think the metal is digging into my skin, could you loosen them up a little?” I pulled my best puppy dog eyes and gave her a pleading look.

“Um... Okay, I guess,” Ha, she fell for it. Sucker.

She put the bowl and mouthwash aside before walking over to the door and locking it.

There goes my easy getaway, I thought.

“I can take them off for a little while,” she said, “but you have to promise not to run away.”

“Sure.” No way in hell.

She walked over to me and pulled a key out of her pocket, removing the cuffs that were binding my feet.

To my surprise, the cuffs really were pretty tight and left red marks on my ankles when she took them off. She sat on the bed and looked at me intently, probably expecting me to run over to the door, but I had something else in mind.
In one quick move, I jumped on top of her, straddling her and pinning her down on the bed. I pinned her throat with the chain of the cuffs on my wrists, cutting off her air supply. Her eyes widened in shock.

“You have three seconds to tell me who the fuck you are, where I am, and what I’m doing here or I’ll choke you to death.”

Probably too surprised to speak, she just stared at me. I made the terrible mistake of looking directly into her eyes and instantly snapped into some kind of trance. I noticed her eyes were a beautiful silvery-blue color and were framed by long, dark lashes, which contrasted with her light blond hair. Her scent was strange and intoxicating. I wondered what kind of perfume it was, and why it was making me feel so lightheaded.

Trying to escape her piercing gaze, I looked down at her lips and noticed how full they were, and how her bottom lip was bigger than the other. Her mouth was kind of... sexy, for lack of a better word.

I shook my head, trying to shake these strange thoughts away, and caught her eyes again. Then the strangest thing happened.

I absolutely lost it.
I don’t know what came over me, whether it was momentary insanity due to my panicked state, or whether I was still too drugged to think straight, but I did the most unimaginable thing I could’ve done in that situation.

I kissed her.

The moment I realized what I was doing, I pulled back, my eyes wide. I was probably as shocked as she was, maybe even more. Our eyes met, and I saw so many conflicting emotions in her eyes.
She gazed at me with a hint of sadness in her expression, and then put her hand on the back of my neck, and gently pulled my face back to hers. She ran one hand through my hair and the other down my arm, making my skin prickle and raising goosebumps in my flesh. I felt her lips move against mine and was too shocked to kiss her back, but then I felt it.
It was like energy was running through our lips, and warmth spread across mine, turning my whole body into a burning flare.

I softly kissed her back, and as the kiss got more intense, that strange feeling of warmth cursed through my body, and my heart started beating faster. I felt her hand tug at the cuffs on my wrists, and realized she wanted to take them off. I hesitantly pulled away from her, not really wanting to. She used the same key she had used on the cuffs binding my ankles, and removed the ones on my wrists. I rubbed my wrists where the cuffs had left red lines, and looked up at her, trying to thank her with my eyes because I had lost the ability to speak. Her lips were flushed and her cheeks were pink like she was blushing.

“I’m so sorry, that was way out of line, I don’t know what came over me,” she said. She sounded a little out of breath and her voice was raspy, but still the same velvety voice I’d heard before.

I looked down, trying to find my voice. I opened my mouth and closed it a couple of times, probably looking like a dumbfounded idiot.

I finally took a deep breath and managed to say, “It was my fault. I’m so sorry.”

It was barely above a whisper, but I knew she had heard me.

She moved closer to me and grabbed my wrist to look at the red marks the cuffs had left. ”I’m sorry,” she repeated after me.
My heart started beating faster when I felt her cold touch, and I knew she could feel my pulse. Her lips tugged up into a sad smile, and her eyes met mine again.

Wrong move, lady.

I instantly got lost in her intense gaze, and involuntarily closed the space between us, until my lips were about an inch away from hers. I then caught myself and shut my eyes tight, “Fuck, I’m sorry.” I said.

She responded by brushing her lips against mine, and we stayed in that position for a minute, hesitantly brushing our lips against the other’s and then pulling back, fighting against our increasingly carnal urges until she seemed to have made up her mind as she pressed her lips against mine, and pushed me down onto the bed so the was on top of me, straddling me like I had done to her a moment before.

She intertwined her fingers with mine and pinned my arms above my head. Wherever our bodies touched became a newfound raging fire for my synapses, but it was a good burn.
I was overwhelmed by the kind of feeling you get when you’re in awe of something, and my head couldn’t form a coherent thought.

She started to kiss down my jaw and my neck, and I let out an involuntary whimper when her lips left mine. As she was kissing my neck, I felt her whole body tense, and something sharp press against my neck, like she was grazing her teeth over my skin. She instantly pulled back and within a second, she was standing at the other side of the room, one hand over her mouth. I just sat there, too shocked to speak.

What. The. Actual. Fuck. Did she just teleport or something?

She must have noticed my shocked expression and turned around so all I could see was her back. She was shaking one of her legs nervously, tapping her heel against the floor. Then she put her hands over her face in frustration.

“Shit,” I heard her say. She paused for a while and took a deep breath, “I have to go.” She unlocked the door and I panicked, not wanting her to leave without an explanation.

“Wait! Don’t go!”

She turned around, and I noticed her eyes had darkened, and she looked angry, “What?” She spat at me.

“What the fuck just happened?! Don’t you think I deserve a goddamn explanation?!” I replied, angry at her attitude.

She looked slightly taken aback, but quickly composed herself, “You curse a lot, don’t you?”

“Only on special occasions.”

Her lips twitched like she was trying to hold back a smile, and then she sighed but didn’t say anything.

I narrowed my eyes at her, “So, what are you waiting for? Start explaining.”

She sighed again and said, “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”

“Try me.”

“Just say it.”

“Don’t wanna.”

I half-smiled at her childish retort and said, “Will you just spit it out already?”

She looked thoughtful for a second and then said, “You’ll think I’m crazy.”

“I’ll think you’re crazy?” I said, making sure she heard me emphasizing the ‘you’re’, “Hell, I think I’m crazy right now, I mean I either just saw you teleport or had a momentary lapse of memory due to the drugs you’ve been giving me.”

“I didn’t give you any drugs.”

“Don’t change the subject!”

She narrowed her eyes at me and then said, “Fine, but just remember you asked for it.”

I was starting to wonder what she meant by that when she appeared in front of me in less than a millisecond with both of her hands at either side of me on the bed, and her face dangerously close to mine. She stared at my eyes for a second, studying me, and then simply said, “I’m a vampire.”

I stared at her in silence for a while and then burst out laughing, “You’re joking, right?”

“Nope.” She said. Popping the ‘p’ and moving to sit on the bed beside me.

Shit, I just made out with a crazy woman.

“Excuse me?”

Did I just say that out loud? “Oh... Nothing... I didn’t say anything.”

“You think I’m crazy.”

“Well... umm... I.... yes.”

“FIne, you keep asking for it.”

“Asking for wha-” What was about to be ‘what’ came out as “Wha-aaaaah!” when she pounced on me in the same manner I had done before, pinned my arms above my head and opened her mouth so I could see her teeth.
They were normal teeth, a little too white and perfect, but no fangs.
I gave her a questioning look and then she just smirked, opened her mouth again, and all of a sudden her fangs became longer until they were close to an inch long. I tried to speak but all that came out of my mouth was a small whimper. She just snickered at me and rolled to the side so she was lying on the bed next to me. “So, do you still think you made out with a crazy woman?”

Now that I didn’t have to look at her, I found it easier to speak. “No... I think I’m hallucinating.”

“Trust me, you’re not.”

“Shut up. You’re just a figment of my imagination, I’m just gonna wake up soon, passed out in the floor of the club, at the hospital, or in the back of a van with my kidnapper.”

She laughed, “I’m not a figment of your imagination or a hallucination, I’m one hundred percent real. I mean do you really think your little human mind could be creative and artistic enough to imagine me?”

“Someone’s full of herself. Look, imaginary person, I suggest you go away and let me wake up from this nightmare or I’ll find a way to wake myself up, ok?”

“Go right ahead.”

I turned to glare at her and proceeded to pinch myself, and then slap myself in the face. As I was about to slap myself harder, she grabbed my wrist before my hand could reach my face.

“Stop doing that.”

“Shut up, Charlie.”

“What did you just call me?”

“Charlie, you’re my imaginary friend and I’m naming you Charlie. I’m also turning you into a boy when I figure this thing out.”

She looked at me like I was crazy and said, “For the last time, I’m not imaginary, I’m very real. Also, my name is Stella and I have no interest in undergoing a sex change.”
She said that slowly as if I were retarded.

I didn’t say anything, I just looked at her intensely, studying her features.
I involuntarily reached out and stroked her cheek, making sure she was real.
Her expression changed when I did that, and her eyes seemed to take on a lighter color.
She put her hand over mine, which was still resting on her cheek, and gently pushed it away from her face, “I... I’m going to get you something to eat, you must be hungry,” she said, barely above a whisper.

I made a ‘pfft’ noise, “No way, you just wanna get me fat so you can eat me, like Hansel and Gretel.”

When she didn’t answer and just stood up to leave, I started panicking again and said, “Wait, you really are going to eat me, aren’t you? You want to suck my blood! I...I’m too young to die!”

She just stared at me and then burst out laughing and said, “Annabelle Satcher, you really are something else.”

“How do you know my name?” You crazy psycho. You really good looking, crazy psycho. Fuck. Stop it, Annie.

“I know a lot of things. Now, will you please calm down and let me get you something to eat?”

I nodded. When she left, I let myself fall on the bed and sighed loudly, “What have I gotten myself into?” I said to myself.

I lifted my hand to plant it on my forehead in an act of pure frustration, and then it hit me. My hands were free. She had forgotten to cuff me again. I bolted upright and stared at the door, gulping loudly. What could be waiting for me out there?
Maybe they had guards at the door, maybe they were out there slaughtering people, maybe I wouldn’t make it past the door frame... But I would never find out if I didn’t try.

“Think about it Annie,” I said to myself, “Either you die trying to escape or you die when they decide to have you for dinner. Plus you’ve only spent about half an hour in here and you’re already talking to yourself.” I took a deep breath, trying to suck in some courage, and made my way over to the door.

My hand lingered on the cold doorknob for about five seconds, before I slowly started turning it, but as I was about to walk outside, I bumped into a smirking Stella holding a tray of food.

“I figured you’d try something, but you wouldn’t have made it out anyway, any vampire here could have smelled you from a mile away,” she said smugly.

I rolled my eyes and glared at her, trying to burn two holes in her stupid pretty face.

She just smirked and put one hand on my chest, pushing me inside the room and locking the door behind her.

She set the tray of food on the bed and lifted the lid, “I don’t know what you like so I brought you a little of everything. You have pancakes, cereal, eggs and bacon, milk, and juice. If you need anything else, just tell me.”

“Do you have some vodka?”

“I wouldn’t give you anything unhealthy.”

“What are you, my mother?”

She just smiled at me, shook her head, and started for the door.

“Oh, no you don’t!” I ran to stand in front of her.

She sighed, “What is it now?”

“You need to tell me what I’m doing here.”

She sighed again and ran her hand through her hair in frustration, “Not this again.”

“Oh yes, you kidnapped me! You have to know people would have noticed by now, my friends would have notified the police the moment they realized I was missing.”

“We took care of that.”

My stomach dropped, “What do you mean?” Oh God, please tell me they didn’t eat my friends.

“We own the police and the government. Basically, we run everything. Now shut up and eat like a good little human.”

I grunted in frustration and decided to go for the puppy face act again, I made my eyes look sad and pleaded with her, “Please, I need to know what’s going on. I promise I won’t bother you again if you tell me.”

She gazed into my eyes, probably trying to read me. I lost focus after one second of gazing back into her grayish-blue ones and involuntarily took a step forward.
She did the same at the same time and we both laughed awkwardly. I looked down at my feet. She put her hand under my chin, gently lifting my face so I could look at her. I avoided her eyes, but couldn’t ignore her intoxicating smell.
My hair fell on my face, and she tucked it behind my ear, letting her hand linger on my cheek, creating a burning sensation where her body touched mine that I wasn’t getting used to.

I gulped hard, knowing what would happen when I looked into her eyes, but I looked anyway.

Her hand slowly moved to the back of my neck, pulling me closer to her, but giving me time to pull away. I ran my fingers through her hair, and pulled her to me in a quick move, kissing her hungrily.
She licked my lower lip, asking for entrance which I gladly granted. Our tongues moved against each other, fighting for dominance, before falling into a steady beat and moving in sync, as if they were meant for each other. I slowly melted into the kiss, hugging her against me tightly, and then she started walking back towards the bed

I smiled against her lips and walked with her, falling on top of her when we made it into the bed. I felt her lips quiver as she giggled a little. I then removed her hands from the back of my neck, and pinned them above her head, intertwining my fingers with hers as I kissed down her jawline and her neck, sucking gently above her collarbone.

A soft moan escaped her lips, and that threw me over the edge. I let go of her hands, which she wrapped around my neck, and snuck my hands under her shirt, stroking the soft skin of her stomach, and slowly moving them up, I hesitated when I felt the rim of her bra, but then she bit my lower lip, pulling it back slowly.

Oh, she’s asking for it, I thought. Quickly, my mood became alarmingly unconcerned with my current circumstances.

I wrapped one hand around her waist, and stroked over her bra with the other, feeling that area harden under the lace. I parted my lips from hers so I could look at her face, and noticed she was biting her lip to hold back a moan.

“Don’t bite your lip,” I whispered in her ear, my voice lower than normal, and slightly raspy.
I started leaving feathery kisses along her jawline before moving down to her neck and kissing every nook and cranny.
I moved my left hand, which was currently pinned under her in the small of her back, and she arched her back a little so I could remove it.
I placed both my hands on her hips and squeezed a little before moving them up her torso and over her bra, stroking the area where her... you know... should be. This must have pushed her over the edge, and she unlatched her hands from my hair and cupped my face, making me look straight into her eyes.

“My turn,” she said, flipping me over in one swift move so she was on top of me, straddling me with her legs. She didn’t hesitate before crashing her lips back into mine and kissing me passionately.
Her hands roamed my body, settling on my thighs. She started stroking my bare skin, and I realized I was still wearing the short black dress from the day before.

We kissed for a while and it dawned on me that she hadn’t made a move toward my weak spot, even though her hands were dangerously close. I felt her stroke my inner thighs as she kissed my neck, moving close, and then quickly moving away as if she was unsure whether to touch me there. I put my hand on her cheek, pushing her face up so I could look at her. She smiled tenderly and stopped, I felt my insides melt

Then I felt something sharp against my neck. Uh-oh, I made her fangs pop out again. She stopped kissing me and touching me altogether, moving up into a sitting position. She was now sitting on top of me, with a hand covering her mouth. She looked so embarrassed and it was kinda... cute.

“Shit,” she said and shut her eyes to avoid my gaze.

I gently pushed her off me so I could kneel in front of her, and grabbed her hand, pulling it away from her mouth. Her eyes shot open, and she looked at me with a confused expression.

“It’s okay,” I said, smiling warmly at her, “It doesn’t freak me out or anything.”

A look of awe took over her expression, and her eyes looked so sad for some reason. She had her mouth shut tight, pursing her lips.

I ran my thumb along her mouth and said, “Don’t close your mouth.” She hesitantly parted her lips and I saw two long, sharp fangs. She avoided my eyes.
“Hey,” I said softly, “Don’t be embarrassed, this is a natural reaction for you right?” She nodded, “I don’t mind,” I said, tucking a stray lock of seemingly natural platinum blonde hair behind her ear.

Her eyes finally met mine and I noticed she had a pained expression in her face, “It’s just... I... I’m dangerous when I’m like this.”

I sighed, “You want to bite me,” I stated.

“It kind of hurts not to... literally’” I studied her face, and noticed her eyes looked brighter, and she looked like she was in a lot of pain.

I thought about it for a second and finally made up my mind. I lied back down on the bed, pulling her on top of me. She looked shocked for a second, and then regained her composure and made herself more comfortable. I looked her straight in the eyes, and then smiled at her, and moved my head to expose my neck so she could have a better angle.
“Go ahead,” I whispered, slightly scared.

Her jaw dropped, and she stared at me with an expression of pure shock, “I... No! What are you doing?!”

I sighed and grabbed the back of her neck, pulling her close to me until her lips were touching my skin. Her breath hitched and I felt her whole body tense.

“You do know that if I start, I might not be able to stop, right?” She mumbled against my neck, her voice breaking as if she were about to cry. The change of tone was almost imperceptible.

I took a deep breath and said, “I trust you.”

She laughed cynically, “You’re crazy.”

“Just do it, Stella.”

She gulped loudly and started breathing hard as if she was out of breath. “Shit,” she said, sounding asphyxiated.

I stroked her silky hair with my hand, trying to calm her down, and gently pushed her toward my neck until I felt her fangs graze my skin. She let out a low growl, and I felt a painful prick, letting out a soft yelp.

At first, it felt like it should’ve, it hurt, as if something had just pierced my skin, but when she started sucking, a feeling of pure ecstasy took over my body, rocking me to the core.

I had no idea what was going on, I’d never felt like this before, it felt so good and I couldn’t help but moan loudly. I felt her moan against my skin too and knew she was feeling the same way.

Suddenly it was like she became a part of me, and I could feel her emotions. It was like our souls had merged together to become one, and our bodies were moving against each other in sync. I felt her rock back and forth, riding me as she swallowed my blood, and I moved my body against hers, enjoying the way our bodies felt together, and this feeling of ecstasy that was taking over me.

After a few seconds, I started feeling numb and finding it hard to move. She must have noticed my sudden weakness because she grabbed my arms tightly, and I felt her emotions, her internal battle, as she struggled to let go. I started slipping into darkness and felt the despair in her heart at the thought of killing me.

Suddenly the feeling of ecstasy stopped, and I heard her gasp loudly.

“Miss Satcher!” She grabbed my arms and shook me, “Wake up!”

My eyes were closed, and I felt so tired, I just wanted to sleep, but then I remembered how scared she had felt when she thought she was killing me and managed to find my voice. “I’m here,” I said, softer than a whisper.

She let out a breath, and I felt her pull me into a hug. She was lying down on the bed, so I rested my head on her chest. “Oh, thank god,” she said, sounding relieved.

“I’m gonna go to sleep now, okay?” I said, but I was so tired it sounded more like “Imna go to sleepno m’kay?” She understood me, though.

“Okay.” She said, and I could feel the smile in her voice, she held me more tightly and placed a soft kiss on my forehead. I smiled and cuddled up against her, placing my head on the nook of her neck, and wrapping one arm around her torso. Something about hugging her felt so good, but I didn’t know what it was, and I was too tired to think.

I smiled and quickly placed a kiss on her neck. In my increasingly clouded conscience, a nagging feeling of recognition stabbed me in the gut, but it was rapidly dismissed by exhaustion. I felt her body vibrate like she was laughing and smiled again, feeling safe enough to let the darkness take over me. Before I slipped away, I thought I heard her say something.

“Shit, What have I gotten myself into.”
