Chapter 22: Matt and Michael

“Matthew, can I tell you a story?” Michael said.

“This is a three hour long bus trip. I don’t think we have time. Time is in short supply. The only reason you can’t is because I’m scared you won’t finish. Also the stars aren’t aligned. The stars aren’t in position for this story. I also don’t have popcorn.”

“Once upon a time-…”

“There was a handsome prince with a ginormous cock.”

“Must you be so vulgar?”

“Yes.”

Michael sighed. “Can I finish?”

“Only if you take me out on three dates first.”

“There was a girl.” Michael continued, ignoring Matthew. “There was a witch. Beautiful, smart. One day, she met an angel, and he fell senselessly in love with her.”

“Is he an anal stiff? He sure sounds like one.”

“Shut up. The angel had enemies. And one day, they found the witch and her family. Those enemies sent vampires to kill them.”

“And did they die and no one lived happily ever after?”

“The angel got there too late. Everyone was dead but the witch and her mother’s best friend. But she was hurt. Her mother’s best friend then used the blood of the vampires he had slain to save the young witch. The angel then erased her memories so that she would be spared the pain, and so that she might be safe from his enemies.”

“So he is a stiff. You two would get along. Might be able to swop stiff notes. Is there a point to this?”

“Nope, not really. The angel never found the people responsible. He tried to forget the young witch but never could.”

“Please tell me that’s not why we’re doing this. Tell me we’re not taking a three hour bus trip because you’re lovesick.”

“Did I say I’m grateful that you’re coming with? You’re a true friend.”

“Michael, I swear to God…”

“There is another really special thing about the town we’re going to, Matt.” Matthew remained silent. Michael had a serious look in his eye.

“What…?”

“Drake St. Claire has been spotted there.”

“No, Michael.”

“I’m going to kill him!” Michael smiled. “And I’m going to get Daveigh back as well.”
