Timothy drove roughly till we got to my manor. He parked the car outside the main door and hurriedly opened the car door for me. I got out of the car and walked into the lobby. Adam followed suit.

"Oh dear, baby are you okay?" My mum welcomed me with a tight hug. "I saw the news and hurriedly sent Timothy. Why did you go clubbing without him?"

"I'm sorry Mum, I just wanted him to rest."

"That's kind of you, but next time, always have him by your side. Remember he's a trained judo fighter." She set her gaze on Adam and cocked her head. "I think I've seen you before, you're erm, what's your name?"

"Adam. Nice to meet you, Mrs Hail."

"The pleasure is all mine." She touched my chin with her fingers. "Did they hurt you?"

"I'm fine Mum, you worry too much."

" Timothy, please have your eyes on him 24/7," My mum ordered, swerving her long brown hair backwards.

"I will Mrs Hail." He bowed his head. " Excuse me, I have to attend to the guards in the courtyard." He placed a hand behind his back and strode out of the manor.

"Mum, Catrina said you came looking for me earlier."

"Yes I did, let's forget about that. You need to rest." She kissed my cheek. "I'll be in the bar if you need me."

Catrina showed Adam the room he'll be staying tonight., while I went to my room. I dropped with a heavy thud on my bed. I didn't bother about bathing, all I was thinking of was the board meeting being held tomorrow. I closed my eyes and slept off.

The sun hung above the city, as usual, giving everyone a feeling that the day was going to be bright. But I was having a feeling that mine won't. I've been staring out the window of my jeep for a long time. What was this meeting all about? They probably want to talk about the bombing.

"Sir, you've been staring out the window since we left the Manor, are you okay?" Timothy was concerned, of course, he should be. I was going to face the board of Hellina inc. Each member of that board were devils in their own way. If they were real devils, I'm sure even the Supreme will have to keep a special eye on them.

I inhaled deeply and rubbed my hands together. "I'm going to face the board today. They requested an emergency meeting."

"Oh." He knew what I was going to face. I've told him multiple times about my encounter with them. The meetings never turn out well. Soon we arrived at the parking lot and Karen hurriedly opened the door for me. She is always early, I love her for that.

I set my gaze on her brown eyes and a smile dangled at the corner of my lips. "You know I have hands right?"

She shrugged. "I'm just doing my job." She wore a black suit with black trousers that flared at the end, engulfing her high heels. She beamed a smile at Timothy. "Good morning Timothy."

"You are looking good Karen." Timothy rubbed his short white hair. He looked shy after complimenting her.

"Thank you."

"I'm a call away, Master Hail. I'll let Karen take it from here." He walked towards the car and stood beside it. I waved at him and began walking into the company building with Karen beside me, briefing me on my schedule today. I arrived at my office and enthroned myself on my office chair.

"It's a few hours to the meeting, are you sure you can handle this?" Karen asked sitting on the chair opposite me.

"It's just a board meeting Karen, besides, do you have the footage here?" This footage was my only hope of keeping my position. I had told Karen some weeks back to do some digging on someone I've been suspicious of since I took over this company.

"Yes, do you really need it?"

"I'm in a hot zone here, I need some leverage."

"I'll get it ready." She got up from the chair and left the office.

The time for the board meeting reached. I was the last to enter the board room. I walked majestically to my seat and enthroned myself on it. Deep under my confidence, I was scared, what if they kicked me out of the company? The eight people in front of me gave me stares like they've never seen me before. This board room had invisible jail bars, these bars held me with the despicable people in front of me.

"Mr Hail, I called this meeting," Arnold, the CFO started. "The bombing that happened yesterday is a true sign that you aren't capable of being CEO. This meeting is going to be short. I want us to vote, all in favour of removing our current CEO." Of course, Arnold raised his hand and so did all other members of the board. I knew he bribed them. A sinister smile appeared on his face. He felt so good. Arnold was my target today, he didn't know what was coming his way. He has been trying effortlessly to kick me out of the company since I took over. But today, I was going to win, Arnold will never set his feet on this company again once I'm through with him.

"Do you really want me out of this company?" I asked throwing my head on the head of the chair.

"The majority has spoken." Arnold scratched his long grey hair. "Do you have anything to oppose our decision? "

I cocked my head. "Actually, I do." I gave Karen a gentle nod. She had been standing at the corner of the room the whole time. A tv dropped from the ceiling and hung midway. Karen walked towards it and plugged in a flash. After some time, a video began to play. The first loop showed Arnold doing cocaine in his office. The next loop showed him beating up two girls in his house. Another loop showed him doing things he knows his mother won't be proud of with a little girl who wasn't even a teen.

While he watched this video, his jaws dropped. There were loud gasps echoing in the room. I looked at Karen and winked at her feeling successful. She gave me a thumbs up with both hands.

"Karen, you can turn it off now," I said. She nodded her head and did as I told her.

I got up from my seat, chest raised high with a hand in my pocket. "That was a video of Arnold Hail, my father's younger brother, doing all sort of illegal acts." I scoffed. "Yet, a devil like him, wants me out of the company? "

Arnold looked at me with shock glowing in his deep blue eyes.

Everyone in the room gazed at him with utter contempt. I walked to him and placed my hands on his shoulders. "For the fact I was able to spot a leech like him, is enough proof that I care about my company." I tightened my grip on his shoulders. "It doesn't matter how much he paid you all, I'm willing to double it, just to make sure a despicable person like him leaves the company."

I smirked. "All in favour of kicking Arnold out of the company." I raised my hand high. The board members whispered among each other. Slowly, each one of them began to raise their hands. Soon everyone in the room except Arnold had their hands up. Even Karen raised her hand up, not minding that her vote didn't count.

"Look, I can explain," Arnold said with a pitiful tone.

I released my grip from his shoulders. "Explain to the police when you get to the station."

Two policemen barged into the board room. "Mr Arnold Hail, you are under arrest for child abuse and illegal drug possession." One said handcuffing him.

"You can't do this." He struggled to get free from the policemen pushing him out of the board room.

"Bye." I waved at him with a smile plastered on my face.

"Yes!" Karen shouted, jumping out of joy when Arnold left the room. The board members turned their gaze to her and gave her a questioning look. "I'm sorry," she said, gasping and covering her mouth with both hands.

Soon, the meeting was over and I met with Karen in my office. She pumped a fist in the air. "You did it, sir. You finally kicked the asshole out of the company."

"Thanks, I couldn't do it without you. I'm still wondering how you got the video."

"I've got my ways." She opened a file she held on her hands. "I got a call from the police. They said they retrieved a CCTV footage of the site. I think you should go to the station."

"Ok, I'll go after I'm done for today. But first, I'm craving coffee, can you get me some?"
