The ringing of Orphic Gardens High school bell indicate it was the end of lunchtime and the starting of another class, but instead of heading for class like all the other students, Luka secretly sneak off to the pool-room, stripping down until he was bare and took a dive into the pool of water.
For five minutes, he remained at the bottom of the pool before going above floating with the eyes closed as a mean to block out the world, to keep his mind blank.
He heard the door to the pool-room opened then closed and quickly stood before a girl with lovely dark complexion, extremely beautiful, perfectly curved, bright brown eyes and long curly dark brown hair.
The girl was of course startled by Luka’s sudden appearance, since she thought there was no one in the room. Not to mention, he wasn’t there a moment ago. Her eyes started to explore his nakedness and his masculine physique, that was enough to make her flustered with lust.
“Sorry.” She quickly looked away from him. “I never knew anyone was in here.”
“It’s alright,” Luka sounded dull.
“So you’re skinny dipping?” she asked, trying to prevent herself from peaking. But she couldn’t. This is her first time seeing someone of the opposite sex naked in reality, and seeing it live was much better than seeing it in videos.
“I like the water.”
“You know it’s prohibited for a student to swim in the pool unauthorized.”
“I know, but it’s the only place I can find at this school that make me feel at peace.”
“You are quite strange, but you’re cute.”
“So, why are you here?” Luka gazed at her questionably.
“My name is Caitlyn Byron,” The girl introduced herself. “And I’m here because I was looking for a place to clear my head as well.”
“From what?” He asked not because he was concerned, but it seemed like it was the right response.
“It’s complicated.” Caitlyn seemed a bit saddened, as if for a moment she remembered something bad, but she wasn’t going to share it with a strange boy. Not even if she finds him very attractive.
“That’s what people say when they don’t want to explained things,” Luka said, which made her laugh.
“You just speak whatever come to your mind, don’t you?”
“Is there a problem with that?”
“No.” Caitlyn was unable to think clearly due to his nakedness, which was very distracting. “Um, what’s your name?”
“Luka,” Luka replied. “My name is Luka McHale.”
“Nice to meet you, Luka.” Caitlyn blushed, taking one more glanced at his exquisite body from the toes to his head. “Now could you please put on some clothes?”
She stood there uneasy, watching him put on every piece of garment. First his dark tightly fit underwear which she thinks make him look sexy, then his dark leather jeans that hugged his masculine bow legs, then he slid on his white muscle top t-shirt, and lastly he put on was his all white high top sneakers.
“So this is where you are Caitlyn,” said a beautiful girl, dark skinned, bright brown eyes the same as Caitlyn and straight dark hair upon entering the pool-room.
“Tamarin,” Caitlyn gazed back at her older sister and uttered surprisingly.
Taking a look at Luka stone-cold face startled Tamarin to great degrees, but his face was not what startled her. It was because from the moment she laid eyes on him, she knew exactly what he was, a vampire.
“Let’s go to class right now, Caitlyn.”
“No!” Caitlyn refused to go with Tamarin.
“Don’t be stubborn.” Tamarin grabbed Caitlyn’s right hand and dragged her out the pool-room into the hallway.
“Are you out of your mind?” Caitlyn flashed Tamarin hands away.
“Are you?!” Tamarin retorted.
“I was just being friendly with a boy. You didn’t have to embarrass me like that.”
“Out of all the boys at Orphic Garden High, why do you choose to talk with a vampire?”
“I never knew he is a vampire.” Caitlyn was surprised by her sister statement of Luka being a vampire, but still she liked him.
“Well now you know. I need you to stay away from him.”
“But he seems harmless, plus I think he’s cute. That’s all.” Caitlyn blushed, talking about Luka stirred up warm emotions.
“Teddy bears are cute, dinosaurs are cute, but vampires aren’t cute. If you know what’s good for you, you will stay away from him.” Tamarin warned her beloved little sister.
“Why should I?” Caitlyn motioned her head with attitude.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Tamarin snapped. “Did you forget that vampires are the enemy?”
“How can I when you keep reminding me? But that doesn’t mean I can’t be friendly with a boy.”
“A boy who is a vampire,” Tamarin said to get it through her little sister’s thick skull. Reminding her how dangerous vampires are. “Just stay away from him. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes mom. As clear as a crystal ball,” Caitlyn pouted, turning away from her sister and head up the hallway.
Tamarin grunted irritated, and then turn to follow after her sister and bumped into Luke, causing her to fall to the ground.
“I’m sorry.” Luke reached a hand out to help Tamarin up from the floor, but she refused him and stood on her own.
“I’m fine,” She said repulsively.
“I’m sorry if I offended you.”
“Just leave me alone.” Tamarin walked off down the hallway.
“What’s her problem?” Luke questioned queerly before entering into the pool-room seeing Luka seated on the floor. “So this is where you are?”
“I thought you were.”
“Rest assure Luke, I’m not killing anyone,” Luka interrupted his brother’s statement.
“Now let’s go to class.” He walked pass Luke out the pool-room.
“OK.” Luke strolled along behind his little brother.
