Chapter 35- A Womanizer

--Eleanora POV--

My hair was sticking to me, my throat was parched and my whole body was groggy. Despite having been unconscious for so long, I was still tired. I don’t know exactly how long I was asleep for but I knew it was more than a day.

I turned my head to the side and blinked a couple of times to see that I wasn’t alone.

Vince?

He was here, sat on a chair beside the bed and sleeping, his body moving with small, even breaths. I outstretched my hand to touch his face but hesitated and pulled back.

Forcing myself to sit up, I looked around the room and went to get out but paused when I felt a weight on my other hand. Looking down, I saw him holding onto my hand.

He’s so confusing.

With my free hand, I brushed away the locks of black hair that were in the way and carefully pulled my hand out of his grasp and climbed out of the bed.

I yelped when I almost fell but grabbed onto one of the bedposts and took a moment to steady myself. With that, I slowly went to the connected bathroom and washed my hands and face, brushing my teeth with the spare brush and brushed down my greasy hair.

I’ll have to ask one of the maids to bring me a new set of clothes and some shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair.

Until then, I opened the balcony doors and stepped outside barefoot. Enjoying the feel of the wind whipping passed my face, I breathed in the warm air and leaned forward against the railing with closed eyes and a slight smile on my face.

I turned my head to look inside the room and Vince was still quietly snoring away.

Getting one of the spare blankets, I covered him with it then went back out to where I stood enjoying the scenery for nearly half an hour, possibly more.

Humming a small tune, I played with the ends of my hair but abruptly stopped when I heard hurried footsteps behind me.

Before I was even given the chance to properly turn around and see what was happening, I felt arms wrap themselves around me tightly, pulling me sideways into a strong chest.

“V-Vince?” I stuttered out, surprised.

“When did you wake up? You should have woken me up? Do you have any idea how crazy I was going, seeing you like that?” He pulled away from the hug, keeping his hands on my shoulders and after staring at my face for a few seconds, he pulled me into his arms again and berried his face in the crook of my neck. I shivered at the subtle contact of his lips on my skin but didn’t say anything.

“I’m sorry. You just looked tired so I didn’t want to wake you,” Before I knew it, I felt my arms move up to wrap around his waist.

“I was so worried,” He whispered and just like that, my heart thumped another beat faster.

“You... was?” I couldn’t help it, he made my heart flutter so effortlessly.

I heard him huff and he moved away from the hug again. We stared at each other for what felt like years until he sighed and rubbed the place between his brows with a frown.

“You’re a really smart woman, Nora-”

“Thanks,”

“But why is that when it comes to these kinds of things you’re awfully naive?” I raised an offended brow, unsure of what exactly ‘these kinds of things’ was.

He sighed yet again and placed his hands on my cheeks and at the sudden skinship, I hiccuped, quickly covering my mouth in embarrassment and he chuckled, surprising me, even more, when he leaned down and placed a light kiss on the said hand that was covering my mouth.

“Y-You,” I stuttered out and he grinned.

“You can’t do that!” I pushed away from him with a frown and the grin fell off his face.

“Huh?”

“I get that you’re a womanizer and all but you can’t just randomly keep kissing me like that, it’s un-gentlemanly and my future husband, if I’m ever going to have one, won’t be pleased to know that he’s not the first man to put his lips on me,”

I was surprised, to say the least when he burst into laughter.

Moving forward, he ruffled my hair and ignored the words I just said when he leaned down and kissed my nose.

“You can’t blame me. You’re just so kissable,” He tried to defend himself.

“That-That doesn’t mean anything,” I pushed away from him again but yelped when he suddenly wrapped an arm around my waist and crushed me to his body, using his other hand to hold my wrist.

“Sshhh,” He slowly leaned towards me and I moved my head back.

I knew that if he were to kiss me then I would truly fall for him. If that happened then I wouldn’t know what to do but truly, if he did kiss me, then I knew that I wouldn’t be able to push him away.

“I like you,”

I blinked at his words, not even being able to process what he just said and being given the chance to do so because he moved down, shutting all my senses off as he did.

His lips claimed mine and my senses were all shut off, nothing but him in my mind and chest. I discreetly felt his thumb caressing my cheek but above that, all I felt were his lips.

The moment was as euphoric as I would have imagined, if not, better.

His lips were soft, moving against mine so wondrously and leaving my knees shaking. He tightened his arm around my waist to keep me from falling and my hands reached up to clench the material of his black shirt.

I squeezed my eyes shut, the scent of his cologne invading my senses. It was as if time had stopped but the fluttering of my heart only intensified. I couldn’t focus on anything but his lips which were addictively moulding against mine.

If not for the fact that he bit my bottom lip and we both opened our eyes, gazing into the depths of each other’s orbs, I would think that this was all a dream. His metallic hues slowly fluttered shut again and I felt my own close too, giving in to him and moving my arms up to wrap around his neck.

He groaned into my mouth, moving both his hands to wrap around my waist and dipped me back a bit for better entrance and I didn’t do anything to stop him.

How long we had been kissing, I don’t know but it wasn’t long enough since I had started to run out of air and pushed against his chest.

Breathing in lungfuls of air, I didn’t dare to open my eyes when I felt his lips trail down to my shoulder and plant some of his kisses there.

When I felt his lips no longer near me, I opened my eyes again and looked up to meet his awaiting gaze which was smiling down at me. His hand reached out to caress my cheek and I jumped when he quickly leaned down and stole a peck.

I can’t believe this.
