Chapter 21

After I made the little bet with that Alpha, Dad came into the office after seeing that cry-baby Isabelle and I explained to him about what happened earlier.

"You've got to be kidding me. Atticus is Serena's mate?! this is not good."

"No, it's not. Don't you see? Atticus knows that I'll always get what I want and that little Alpha doesn't know who she's dealing with. We're gonna have a little Alpha vs Alpha match. If I win, I get to keep her and she's the new Luna and we'll merge our packs meanwhile, my idiot brother gets rejected once again."

Dad chuckled when I told him this and then he ruffled my hair.

"That's my boy! when does the match start?"

"This afternoon. Ooh, I can't wait to teach her a lesson and to never underestimate me."

"Careful Son, let's not forget that she's also the adopted daughter of the Bloodhound. Who knows what kind of moves or tricks she's gonna pull."

"I'm not scared of her or that lunatic you call a Bloodhound. Besides, I'm gonna make sure that her parents like me."

"We'll see about that."

Later on that day, it was time for the match. I was ready to take Xander down and wipe that cocky smirk off his face. Abigail massaged my shoulders and she said to me.

"Now remember, he's a tough male wolf and he's had a lot of training experience as a pup."

"So have I."

"I know but, you've got to be careful, this is the Alpha of the Feral Claws pack after all," Brandon told me.

"Don't worry about me, I'll make sure to take him down. He's gonna have the shock of his life once he finds out who's been dealing with."

"You mean you're gonna...?" Abigail asked with a surprised look.

"Oh yeah."

"Hehe, go get him, girl."

Abigail told me after I took off my leather jacket and then I walked into the ring. Xander did the same and then he said to me.

"You sure you wanna do this? last chance to back out, little girl."

"You really think that lame insult is enough to lose my temper, you're dead wrong."

"Ooh, cocky."

"That's enough you two," Fenrir told us before he stood in between us.

"Now remember the rules; there will be no shifting into your wolf forms and whoever is dead or whoever yields will be declared the winner, got it?"

"Understood," We both spoke at the same time before we stood at a fighting stance.

Xander and I glared at one another before Fenrir shouted.

Xander charged at me and then he tried to hit me but, I dodged it in time. I read his moves very carefully as he tried to hit me but, I couldn't see any weak spots, this guy has been trained very well. I better watch myself since he fights like a rogue wolf.

"Be careful, Serena. Xander is determined to make you lose."

"I know, Aoi. Don't worry, I've got this."

I told her before dodging another one of Xander's punches. I ducked and then I backflipped before kicking him in the face. After kicking him in the face, I leapt away from him and then I smirked when I saw that bloody nose.

"Ugh, I can't believe you kicked me in the face!"

"Heh, I'm just getting warmed up."

I told him with a smirk on my face and then I concentrated on the fight again. I focused carefully on his soul and I can sense how tainted it is and I can also hear some of the screams and cries for pain from the souls he has taken. And they say Hades is the God of death.

We circled each other while hearing the cheers from the other pack members but, they were only cheering for their leader. I couldn't let that distract me and then Xander charged at me again and this time, I didn't dodge. Instead, I grabbed his arm and then I twisted it before I leg swiped him and he landed onto the ground.

Xander growled before he got up from the ground and then he tried to tackle me but, I placed my hands on his shoulders and I flipped over him. Xander came to a halt and he glared at me.

"Heh, you're nimble like a cat, I'll give you that much."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"Enough dodging, just attack me already."

Xander shouted before he tried to attack me again and this time I dodge his attacks and then I landed a few punches on his stomach. Xander grunted and he stumbled away from me. Xander growled before he tackled me onto the ground. I tried to get him off of me but, he held me down by the throat and he started to squeeze the life out of me. Aoi started whimpering in my head and I told her.

"Don't worry, Aoi. I'm about to make my move."

Aoi nodded her head before Xander spoke up.

"Just submit! you'll never win!"

"I'll never...submit to someone like you! Not now! not ever!!"

I shouted before my body turned into a swarm of crows which caught Xander and the other wolves by surprise.

I shielded my face when a swarm of crows appeared out of nowhere. I looked where I had Serana pinned down and she was gone.

"What the?! where'd she go!"

"Heh, now he's in trouble," Serena's Delta spoke with a smirk.

I was confused when she said this until one of the pack members shouted.

"Look! up there on the roof!!"

I looked up and there she was, she was standing on the roof of the packhouse. She was smirking at me while several crows flew around her and there was one perched on her arm.

"What kind of sorcery is this?!" I shouted in anger.

"This is my power of course. It's true the rules say that I'm not allowed to shift into my wolf form but, they didn't say anything about my other form did they?"

"What are you talking about?!"

"Heh, you haven't heard the rumours about me, have you?"

Serena told me before she suddenly vanished and then she appeared in front of me. I stumbled backwards when this happened and then she said to me.

"You think you can take me away from my second chance mate, well, I'm afraid that's where you're wrong. You won't be able to win me over and there's also a reason why some people fear my mother and me."

Serena told me before a bright red ;i. Once the light dimmed, she had turned into some kind of demon. Her black hair got longer so it reached the lower back. Black feathered wings appeared on her back, horns appeared on her head and her eyes changed from Midnight blue to purple.

Her outfit also changed as well. She was wearing a black sleeveless jacket, a black vest top that revealed her stomach and there's a strange marking on her right shoulder. She's also wearing fingerless gloves, knee length trousers and ankle boots. She's also holding a shiny black sword with a skull on the hilt of her sword.

"What are you?" I asked her as I looked at her with a shocked expression.

"I'm a werewolf-demon hybrid. I'm the second generation of the reaper demons and you, my friend, have just picked a fight with one."

I heard my wolf whimper in fear and then I told her.

"Heh, I'm not scared of you."

"You should be."

Serena told me before a raven charged at me and I was ready to grab it but, it flew straight into my chest and out of my back. I was shocked when this happened and then I looked up and I watched the raven carry something in its beak before flying back to Serena. I don't know what that raven was carrying but, for some reason, I suddenly felt weak.

"Now let's see, what do we have here..." Serena mumbled before she took the glowing object from the raven.

I watched her close her fist before she opened it again revealing my memories. I was shocked by this until she spoke up.

"Xander Phillps. Age: 24. Alpha of the Feral Claws pack. Blah, blah, blah...ah, here we go, most recent memories."

"What the hell is this?! what's going on?!" I asked her.

"I'll tell you what's going on, I'm looking into your memories and reading more information about you. For example, you captured a family of rogues who were looking for shelter since their Alpha banished them for a crime they didn't do and yet, you still locked them in the dungeon along with their infant son."

The pack members gasped when Serena revealed this. Just then, my wolf, Bryon spoke up.

"Uh oh...this is bad! she's gonna reveal our darkest secrets!"

"I know!"

I tried to get back onto my feet until Serena commanded her raven.

"Raven! transform!!"

The raven that was sitting on her shoulder suddenly shifted and it became some kind of demon. It cawed at me before he landed on my back to pin me down.

"I wasn't finish talking, seems to me you've got some other dark secrets that you don't want me or anyone else to know. Like, how you don't like Isabelle and your old man also told you that she wasn't the right she-wolf to have the Luna position until I came along."

Isabelle looked shocked and angered by this and then Serena continued.

"Speaking of which, your plan was to get rid of Isabelle and replace her with me and in doing so, our packs would have merged and you would've had me as a Luna. Heh, looks like your plan is failing already. I could go on and on but, I think it's for the best how your pack members feel when they find out how you treated the rogues including those who didn't cause any harm to your pack!"

Serena shouted before she raised her hand and then the golden lights flew everywhere and they went into each other my pack members' minds.

I shared out Xander's memories to his pack members after I saw how he treated the rogues except for those who were passing by and they weren't doing any harm. However, I saved the best one for last because I noticed something that didn't like.

"Raven, store this in your mind," I told him before he flew back to me and then the last golden light flew into his body.

Xander's eyes widen and then I heard several growls from his pack. I smirked and then I asked them.

"And this is the guy who you respect and follow? It's shocking, isn't it? there are some rogues who don't mean any harm and yet this man still treats them all the same. He tortures them and he leaves them to rot in hell that you call a pack prison!"

Xander glared at me before I summoned my death sword and then I kicked him in the face before he landed onto the ground. I stomped my foot on his chest and I said to him.

"And this is where our fight ends."

I raised my sword and then I stabbed Xander in the chest.
