Henry had already left and my father came home around 22:45pm. He is a CEO of a business company for higher technology, he works very long hours and comes home late most days. I told him about Henry wanting me to go with him to Germany. My father said that I could go as long as I stayed safe. My parents trust that I will be safe with Henry. My parents can be strict sometimes and overly protective over me. Luckily, they trust Henry. So, they aren't as strict on me as they used to be. It was still Sunday evening, I will leave with Henry on Friday. I'm so glad that I got my passport done last year. I had no idea that one day I'd get to go to Germany! I got my passport done last year because one of my best friends wanted me to spend the holidays with her in Hawaii. My father didn't want me to go so far away from my family and I just met Henry at the time. It was like a two votes 'no' kind of situation. I miss Mia and Katy so much. Mia is currently in Hawaii and Katy had moved to her father's place because he lives close to the college she studies at. Mia would probably be shocked to see that I dyed my hair blonde. She knows it's something I wouldn't really do, that's more like Katy's thing. Katy is like a Beverly Hills rich kid. Her dad gives her whatever she wants, she's blonde, in love with the color pink and can be shallow at times. She loves a good gossip but she's still an amazing friend. Mia is all about sports and math. She likes competition and she's the one who's always encouraging us not to give up on our dreams and on what we want in life.
I have the best friends in the world. I sent them a text telling them how much I miss them and that I'm going to Germany. Mia didn't read the text I send her but Katy did, and she replied with a crying face and multiple heart emojis. I decided to text the guys, they're probably still mad at me because Henry made me stop hanging out with them. I know it's ridiculous, because I literally knew Jake and Miguel since kindergarten. They were like the two brothers I never had. A lot has changed since Henry became my boyfriend, I got to see my friends less than usual and Henry made such a big deal when I was hanging out with Jake and Miguel. It hard for me to say goodbye to them and it hurts so much that I can't see them, and the girls before I go to Germany. I left Jake and Miguel a goodbye message over the Messenger app with heart emojis and a text that says, "𝙸 𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚜 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚜𝚘 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑. 𝙸 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚠𝚒𝚜𝚑 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚜𝚎𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚕𝚊𝚜𝚝 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝙸 𝚐𝚘 𝚝𝚘 𝙶𝚎𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚢 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝙷𝚎𝚗𝚛𝚢 𝚘𝚗 𝙵𝚛𝚒𝚍𝚊𝚢." I put my phone down on the bed and I heard it vibrate. I picked it up and saw that Miguel replied with, "𝙶𝚎𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚢? 𝙾𝚑, 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚝! 𝙵𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚝, 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍𝚗' 𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚐 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚞𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚢 𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚝𝚘𝚘? 𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚍𝚞𝚍𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚠𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚛𝚎𝚍 𝚏𝚕𝚊𝚐! 𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚞𝚙 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚔? 𝙸𝚝' 𝚜 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚜𝚘 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞. 𝚈𝚘𝚞'𝚛𝚎 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙸𝚛𝚒𝚜 𝙸 𝚛𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛." I could tell that Miguel was upset, but as my friend he should at least be happy for me.
How could Miguel call Henry a walking red flag when he's the one who kept talking about how much numbers he got from girls who were in very vulnerable states, shame on him. I wasn't gonna let him have the last word. I texted him back with, "𝙼𝚒𝚐𝚞𝚎𝚕, 𝙸 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚢𝚘𝚞'𝚛𝚎 𝚞𝚙𝚜𝚎𝚝 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝙷𝚎𝚗𝚛𝚢 𝚍𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚢𝚎𝚍 𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚙 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚎. 𝙸 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚊𝚝 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚝 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚝𝚎𝚡𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞. 𝙸 𝚑𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚕𝚢 𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚜 𝚢𝚘𝚞, 𝙸 𝚍𝚘. 𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝙷𝚎𝚗𝚛𝚢 𝚒𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚊 𝚖𝚘𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚖𝚊𝚢𝚋𝚎 𝚑𝚎 𝚗𝚎𝚎𝚍𝚜 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎. 𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚜𝚊𝚢 𝚜𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚋𝚊𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗!" I felt like throwing the phone against the wall, I felt my anger rising up. Henry is a good guy. How could he say those things? I heard my phone beep again and it was Jake. He texted me saying that he misses me and he could try to see me Wednesday if I wanna hang out one last time. I smiled at the screen when I read his words, I replied to Jake that he should see if he could get Miguel and Katy to come too. Henry should understand that I just want to say goodbye to my friends. Jake replied with a text that he'll do his best. I could always count on Jake, he's the best!
The girl we now know as Katy Baker became our friend that day. At first, I wasn't that fond of her. She just striked me as a spoiled brat. The guys, Jake and Miguel were shy around her, at first and had a crush on her. Soon, they got used to her and began to see her as a sister. I became close with her after a couple of weeks of spending time with her. I got to know her and she might be spoiled, but she had a beautiful heart. She was an amazing friend to me. I'm so glad that we met her that day at the mall on 17 December 2009. Ever since we met her, our friendship bond grew stronger and we were all inseparable. Sometimes we had our moments when we'd disagree on things and we all had totally different dreams. Jake Baws has always wanted to be a rockstar, his passion is music. Miguel Martinez wanted to be a rich famous man surrounded by pretty women. Mia wanted to be a netball player. Katy wanted to be a fashion model and a designer. I just wanted to travel around the world or become an artist. Sometimes in life we can't always get what we want, though. Jake is now a videogame tester. Miguel is unemployed, but well taken cared of by his rich step father. Mia Lawrence is an inspirational speaker and a writer, she's probably writing a book while she's currently in Hawaii. Katy Baker is studying psychology at college and I am just a tattoo artist here at home. I have four tattoos that represents my friends in their favorite colors. I got a small chameleon on my forearm that represents Jake. Like a chameleon, he is peaceful and positive, no matter how his mood changes. He's the one who's always looking at things in a positive way, and the one who keeps the peace when there seems to be a problem. He is the wise sage of our friend group. On my lower back, I got a river dragon which kind of looks like Haku from the anime movie called "Spirited Away". The river dragon represents Miguel. He is stubborn, but will never let me down and will pull me out of the deep end when I feel like I'm drowning. He makes me laugh when I'm feeling down and I can count on him. He always cheers me up. He is the cheerful clown we all love of our friend group. On my shoulder, I have a red heart with pink stitches, making the tattoo appear as if it was stitched into my skin. The heart represents Katy. She is the most girly girl I've ever met. She has a lot of kindness and she's been very supportive, emotionally. She is the therapist and sweetheart of our friend group. I have the typical butterfly tattoo every girl gets, but on my diaphragm area. A big black butterfly with yellow wings. The butterfly represents Mia. She is a very talented individual, she's competitive, pretty and a free spirit. She is the wings in our friend group. She's always giving us hope and courage to never give up on what we want out of life. She can be a bit of a control freak at times, but she's mostly strict on herself.
I did my laundry for the day and I got a message from Mia saying that she's sorry that she only saw my message now because she's been writing a book and that she misses me too. Yes, just as I suspected. Mia could write all day when she's not doing any physical activities. I got a message from Katy saying that Jake let her know that he'll pick her up on Wednesday to come see me one last time. I smiled at my phone and texted Jake with a "𝙶𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚓𝚘𝚋, 𝚋𝚞𝚍𝚍𝚢 :)" before putting my phone back into my jean pocket. I hung up my clothing on the washing line in the backyard. My parents were working and I didn't have any customers willing to get tattooed today. I just wanted to wash my clothes finish for the day so I could start packing soon for Germany. I heard someone at the door and it was Henry. I smiled at him and we hugged. "Henry, what's up?" Henry smiled back at me and said, "Hey princess, just thought I'd check in. Do you still want to go to Germany? I mean, you haven't seen your friends in a long time now. If you're having second thoughts, you can tell me." I looked at him and shook my head, "No, Henry. I wanna go with you! I'm dead sure." He held my hand, "Okay, Irie, I just wanted to make sure." He kissed me on my cheek. "I mean, you've already bought a ticket and there's no turning back now"
