Who Am I

Roisin's eyes stung as she laid on her bed, in her room inside the Council Chamber building, an hour had almost passed since Atlas revealed the truth to her. To everyone.

The door creaked open and Atlas walked in, he frowned, and sighed as he closed the door and walked over to the bed before sitting down next to Roisin.

"I'm sorry I hit you" Atlas frowned, as he petted Roisin's head. "I was scared of losing you, and angry at you lying to me..." He sighed.

"No" He shook his head.

"That doesn't excuse it" He gazed at the ceiling. "I'd understand if you hated me" He said as began to stand up.

"No" Roisin said, as she grabbed his hand. "I don't hate you" She said, as she looked at Atlas. He broke down into tears as he slid down the wall next to Roisin's bed.

"I understand your anger now. You didn't only lose my Mum, you lost Keegan, you lost Uncle Sylvaria, you lost your mother and father too..." Roisin nodded, as she moved to sit next to Atlas.

Atlas looked at Roisin and smiled.

"I want you to live, even if it means I die in your place. Please, Roisin, let me be selfish..." Atlas pleaded as he looked into her eyes.

"I was selfish" Roisin admitted. "I ran head first into this, I could have told you, but I didn't want to put anyone else in harms way. I didn't want to feel the guilt of someone giving their... life for me" She sighed deeply. Atlas rested his head against Roisin's.

"You couldn't be selfish if you tried. You're just like Ruby" Atlas smiled softly.

"I'm sorry for forgetting him, Sylvaria" Roisin frowned.

"We decided to take down the photos" Atlas admitted. "We didn't want you and Syl asking too many questions. Part of me knew it was wrong, Sylvaria gave his life, and we just removed every trace of his existence" He shook his head.

"You did what you thought was right" Roisin smiled.

"We were wrong though, to bury his memory was wrong. He deserved to be remembered" Atlas sighed, he reached into his wallet and took out a small picture of two young boys and a young girl with mousey brown hair, on a climbing frame, he handed it to Roisin.

"That's me, Ruby and Sylvaria" Atlas smiled. "After this is done, I'll tell Lotte where the other photos and videos are hidden" He nodded.

Roisin sighed and smiled as she looked at Atlas with sorrow. Atlas looked at Roisin and frowned.

"I'm so sorry for hitting you..." He sighed as he wiped tears from his eyes. "I've always thought of you as my daughter, I hope you know that, ever since I took you and Syl in. I know at first I wasn't the best, I was filled with grief and I neglected you both. If I could go back and fix it, I'd do it in a second" Atlas smiled.

"I know, Dad" Roisin smiled softly, as she looked at the moon in the sky outside. "I love you too" She sighed.
