Chapter 1

Once upon a time....

Is that how it must always go?

How about once upon a dream?

Yes, that sounds about right.

Once upon a dream, there was a king. King Varillian. He had a son with his wife, Queen Leersa. Their son was a beautiful bronze-haired boy, with wide, courageous brown eyes and a kind smile. His name was Prince Daniel.
Prince Daniel was fourteen years old when his father, in his free time, had told him a story.
"There are six, Daniel," King Varillian told him. "Six daughters, six princesses, of the kingdom of Flydon. Although they're still young, they're sought after by many suitors. Perhaps you'll be one of those suitors, my boy. One day, you'll get to pick one of them as your wife and queen."

Prince Daniel was sixteen now, ready to court a future queen of Wenderdale. A party was to be held in Flydon for the coming of age(19 years old) for the second youngest princess of the kingdom. Prince Daniel was invited, along with his parents. Unfortunately, King Varillian and Queen Leersa were too busy to attend.
