Chapter61 - Baby Fever

Dedicated to oddball, N.Y.O.B., PenumbraMINE, and Osprey0112. Thank you so much. I have laughed, felt as if I was flying, and gotten a lot of ideas from all of you. Thank you so much.

Recap

“Marylyn, you are smothering Adonis. Let him come up for air,” Maximus joked as I looked at him with thankfulness written all over my face.

“He’s fine, Maximus. Behave our I might pull you over to my chest, but you might like it and my Joel would be upset. He would try to kill you if he knew you had your face in my tits,” Marylyn told him.

Was I the only one who found this conversation confusing? I looked at my bother and sister’s trying to see if they knew what he meant. “Why would Joel be mad if you had your face in her t-” A hand was slapped over my mouth faster than a rooster could signal daylight.

“It’s nothing bad, kids, she was talking about something or someone accidentally. “Where did my child go?” My mom said sweetly. I wasn’t sure if I believed half of what my grandmother tells us.

Kaleys POV

I was going to check on Tazi. She was too quiet when she walked off and I was worried about her. She may seem tough but she was sensitive, too. She was more sensitive than my other babies.

I felt Draco teleport to my side."Are you okay? "

I shook my head no. "Somethings bothering Tazia and I know she went to her room. I'm going to pop in and check on her if you want to wait for me." Draco nodded his head and leaned against the wall.

I lightly tapped on his door and walked in. I sat down on her bed and rubbed circles on her back. I let her know I was there for her. Ivy and Blaize's parent's torture hit her hard. She couldn't stand to think about all the innocent people who were spelled and crying out for help. She needed to help them, not wanted to help them but 'needed' to do so.

I left her to her siblings, who were in the shadows. I shut the door and walked into my mate's arms. We had only taken a few steps when I was hit with unimaginable and excruciating pain. I fell to my knees and cried out. I felt as if I was dyinng. No, I didn't think dying would hurt this bad. I could hear Draco talking but I couldn't make out what he was saying. I heard the whisper in my mind, letting me know I was getting another power.

No shit Sherlock!

I thought I was birthing bunnies.

I don't know how long I felt as if I was losing all my teeth and hair. It seemed like it had been hours or days I had been shaking, gritting my teeth, and sweating. I didn't hunt this bad when I had my children. My muscles felt as if they had seized up, my heart rate was up and my hands wouldn't stay still. This must be one hell of a power for me to hurt this bad.

I finally came out of the pain, but my muscles were still seized. My whole body hurt and I was as hungry or hungrier than a bear coming out of hibernation. I finally stood up, my legs shaking as if I was a newborn baby. I heard Hailey screaming and tried to teleport to her.

Notice I said try

I fell back to the ground, a cry leaving my lips. Draco had already teleported t_o the main cavern, not noticing I was having problems. It didn't take him but two minutes to realize I wasn't by his side. N u h mm

"Are you okay?" He asked as he knelt down and picked me up. I was heavily panting. "Food," was all I could say. We teleported to the main cavern, Draco teleporting food for me.

I heard Hailey tell her ma.. b nñh&te that she was in labor and it would probably be easier than getting a new power. I made sure to throw her a couple of energy bars before they left, my babies following them. I knew the kids would be back in a few seconds and I wasn't wrong.

"Why can't we be there?" Aleko whined, causing me to chuckle.

"You want to be around your aunt screaming and cursing out your uncle?" Draco asked surprise in his tone of voice

"Why would she curse our uncle? Does she not want to go pick up her babies?" Aleko asked, his face scrunched up in confusion.

I started laughing and couldn't stop. I had tears running down my face. It was too funny to think about him asking about Hailey picking up her babies instead of birthing them. I chuckled a little longer. "Son, we will have this conversation when you are older, but no, you don't pick up babies, you birth them and it's sometimes painful, okay?" I explained, a gentle smile on my face.

"Okay, Mom, but I would still like to know how babies come out of your stomach and into your arms quickly, especially when I know you didn't leave the hospital after having me," Aleko informed me. I nodded my head effectively stopping the conversation.

I didn't want to get into a conversation about where babies come from. Hell, I didn't want to think about how hard it is to birth babies. I wanted my kids innocent and not knowing everything. I felt as if they knew about too many subjects.

I sighed and finished eating. I wanted to get this shit over with. I needed to finish this so we could give our people one hundred percent of us. It was hard to concentrate on with him acting as if he thought he was a beverything happe I was tired of the traitors, of good people being spell to do bad things, and of the stress, the whole situation has caused. I wanted to spend time with my family without needing to worry about what was going to happen next.

I was antsy and couldn't figure out why. My wolf was jumping around and yelling something at me. I relaxed my whole body and listened to what my wolf and dragon side said. "Kaley, the false god is doing a soft hit right now to see how easy it is to break through our defenses. He's having problems getting into our home, but we are safe for now."

"Honey, the false god has sent a few minions to do breakthrough our defenses but hasn't been successful - which is why you didn't feel anyone on our territory," I told Draco. I could tell by the look in his eye his wolf had told him the same thing.

"I know, babe, my wolf, and dragon told me the same thing. Maximus let me know his men are holding the border to make sure no one gets in," Draco commented, his arms wrapping around my waist. I nodded into his chest, wrapping my arms around my mate.

"Ooh, we can go see Hailey's baby now," Adonis commented, disappearing in front of our eyes.

Baby fever at it's finest

I looked at my mate and smiled, nodding my head yes. I wanted to see Hailey's baby too. I wanted to see if he or she looked like any of them. Draco took my arm and teleported us outside of Hailey's room. I took a huge breath, grabbing my mate's hand. I wanted to teleport straight to the room but we were already in the room.

"I'm trying to conserve your power.," Draco told me. I couldn't look away from his eyes. My 'soulmate' was a handsome man with muscles everywhere. He could command you with a look and you will be saying yes sir and I'll do my daughter/ uld make a nun lose her panties in one second. He could love like no other. And, he was mine, all mine.

I shook my head and looked at Hailey's babies. My eyes widened at the sight in front of me. "Holy crap, Hailey, were you trying to have a football team?"

Hailey laughed at my words. "No, I was actually having as many as the Moon Goddess blessed us with I was just as surprised as you were. My nieces and nephews kept saying baby as in one, but I felt as if I was going to be blessed with two babies not five. I don't know the first thing about taking care of a baby, but I know we will make it through. Our kids are smart," Hailey answered as I looked at the babies nestled in Hailey's and my mom's arms. These babies were going to be spoiled rotten.

"You know we could have more of our own," Draco whispered in my ear, his breath making me shudder.

"After the war, honey. I don't want to be pregnant when we fight. I know you would put me in a safe place and not let me out," I told him, a smile on my lips. He would try to keep me safe and him fighting. He wasn't fighting without me. I knew all of us needed to stick together to win this fight. I would have to remind everyone of my small vision.

"Vision?" Hailey asked, letting me know she was reading my mind.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Yes, a vision, thank you very much, Hailey," I sarcastically said. "Anyway, we need to stick beside our mates. The false god has a few witches who can change their appearance to one of us. It's why I've making spelled bracelets for all of us - something I need to finish."

"What will the bracelets do?" Hailey asked, a confused look on her face as our mom laughed.

"Well, I learned from our mom. She taught me to weave spells through jewelry. It's effective and well hidden, plus it lets the rest of us know our real mate is," I answered.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot mom used to teach us how to weave magic. I could never get it but you were great at it," Hailey remarked as our mom nodded her head.

"Do you need some help, Kaley?" My mom asked as she rocked one of the babies.

I shook my head. "I have to be the one who spells them. I used my new powers to make sure the spell couldn't be broken. Everyone needs to make sure they have theirs on at all times. They will be done by this afternoon. We need to make some for everyone who is fighting." I paused for a second. "Yes, I need help on everyone else's bracelet."

"What are we waiting for? He's getting closer and closer to us," my mom asked, reminding me we didn't have time to waste.

I looked up at Draco, an apology on my lips. "Go fix us up for this fight. I love you and I will see you soon, okay?" I nodded and kissed his lips.

I teleported to the main cavern, my family following me. I teleported all the bracelets I had made and my jewelry kit. "These are the bracelets I have made so far. I-"

"Shit!" My mom yelled, dropping the bracelets. "These have a lot of power in them." She looked at me. "Is this part of your new power?"

I nodded my head and sat on the floor to set everything up. "Yes. I will be infusing my power with all the bracelets and necklaces we make."

"Good. I can't wait to see the false 'god's face'. I'm ready to tear him a new asshole," My mom stated as she sat down.

"Me too. I'm going to spell the baubles before you all make them. It will be easier than spelling every bracelet or necklace," I told them. I grabbed all my baubles, beads, and chains.

I closed my eyes and cleared my mind. I thought about the jewelry-making kit and commanded the beads, baubles, and chains to protect our people by not letting them get spelled. I could feel my power infuse with the kit, but what I didn't expect was the gasps of surprise.
