Prologue

It was dark, as it always was. The nearest source of light was just another one like it, and it was hardly close. The only difference was that one didn't have a voice to speak with. This one did.

The world...

Its voice boomed across the empty space, yet, nobody could hear it.

It goes far beyond that which we can see, does it not? It is vast, and we are but specks.

...

You cannot answer. Of course. Can you even hear me?

The space was open. Open and quiet.

No matter. I can hear, and I can answer. I know it goes farther than what passes us by.

There are many things out there to discover. I can feel them! There are countless worlds which we cannot reach from our places, and they sing to me from afar! There are things to find and secrets to discover...

I must reach them. There must be a way. I have been in this place and in this form for long enough. The energy in me is enough, I only need to put it to use... and focus on breaking these shackles...

For a while, there was no change. It was as if nothing was happening. And then, there was a bright light. And then...

Feeling! It existed. It had a body. It had limbs, it had arms and legs with claws that flexed when it wanted to move them. It had a tail that swayed from side to side of its own accord—it could float! It could move around by just willing its body to move! It was no longer the thing it was before, sitting in its place and emitting light.

This meant... that it could now go anywhere it pleased. It opened and closed its newly formed claws. It could go see everything that the world had to offer.

The universe is before me, and I am no longer behind a glass cage. I can finally touch it, with my own body!

With its newly found vigor, it shakily circled its previous resting place, then darted off in the first direction that came to mind.

Exploration was at hand, and it was on a quest to see all that the universe had to offer. Even if it took eons.

Chris Rolfe: BOY!!! I sure love what Aer-Ki Jyr did with this series. IMHO he captured the essence of what stargate is all about. JWalker: I loved this story from start to finish! It flows at a really nice pace and the story world feels so real. ga1984: I really enjoyed it! Characters were deep and plot was pretty complex. A bit on the violent side but it doesnt detract from the story. Very dark but situations make sense. Ends kinda abruptly and later chapters will need some editing work. I'm assuming there's more in the works?

Brie Lundy: I have never read a story like this before. It was riveting. It kept me captive. Once I started it I couldn't stop until it was finished. 10/10. I need more of this book. They need to find the Wizard!!

Elizabeth Krohn: I really enjoy the story but the Dursley's hate for Harry to just disappear is not very realistic and does seem to OC for me. Alex Rushmer: This was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot Malfoy was always one of the characters that I liked a lot, so I like that a lot of this happens between him and Colette. Dru83: This is the second or third time I've read this one and I just love it. It has just about everything you could ever want packed into one scifi story. Schaelz: I was intrigued from the second I started reading, and it kept my interest the whole way through. Chelsea has a way with words that will enchant you until the very end.
