Maybe an explanation what I consider to be family is in order. I don’t switch from parents and relatives just to keep my thoughts going and avoid boredom, repeating words in my head. I couldn’t care less about word repetition. The reason why I do this is because I see things differently.

Family, to me, are my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, great-great-grandparents… the people who are directly responsible for you being born. Whilst aunts, uncles, cousins… are just relatives. The people who are not responsible for your existence, but share the same last name and some biological characteristics. I love my family, but hate my relatives. Just the fact that I was told to like them makes me hate them. I’m not like them, we don’t have nothing in common, why should I like them? Letters that make the same word is no reason to create any kind of positive feeling in me, but obligation is more than enough to generate negative feelings.

And before someone says: “But my parents met through my uncle…” Your father would have had a child, so does your mother, regardless of your uncle. You would have been born, uncle or not.

I don’t have brothers or sisters, so, I’m not sure where I fit in. Probably in the relative category. Would I hate a brother or a sister? I think so, maybe not, but probably.
