“I tried it once before, but I didn’t get too far.”
Her voice caressed the air.
Made your eardrums sigh.
Her delicate fingers cradled the brass strings of her guitar.
“I felt a lot of pain, but it didn’t stop my heart.”
She sat amongst the leaves and trees; leaning from the wind as if to listen to her sing.
Sitting in the middle of the forest singing away the pain.
Her hair fell around her face as she continued to sing, and pluck the wooden instrument to the sound of her soul.
“All I really wanted was for someone to give a little fuck. But I waited there forever, but I waited there forever and no one even looked up.”
her fair skin contrasted with her bright auburn hair, which holds striking highlights of white. Her eyes filled with tears where transfixed on the guitar and the chords she plays.
He watches on from behind the trees. His cold heart warmed and craved her warmth.
He felt the need to comfort her and love her. He waited in the shadows.
“This life is overwhelming and I’m ready for the next one.”
The moment she stopped playing those chords he was gone.
And there she sat broken-hearted and alone.
Just how she thought her life had to be.
He would just have to prove how wrong that statement was.
