Chapter 16

Hello my dears!

I promised you the scene between Maggie and Malachy in the private room and here it is.

Have fun reading :).

Maggie’s POV:

No sooner had we arrived in the private room, than the first clothes flew to the floor.

Malachy loved my armless jumpsuit. All he had to do was loosen the fastener at the back of my neck and with a slight jerk I was standing in front of him in nothing more than my underwear.

His eyes shimmered like liquid gold and he growled more than he spoke. “I like your outfit. You can wear that more often.”

I laughed in amusement.

As he sat me down on the washstand, I chuckled and undid the buttons of his black shirt before slipping it over his shoulders. In the mirror behind us, I watched as it slowly slid down his back, revealing a little more of his huge, sexy lion tattoo piece by piece.

I let my fingers slide slowly and thoughtfully over the outer contours of the lion’s head. “I never asked you why you got that tattoo. Given its size, it’s probably not an accident or the result of a wild night.”

Malachy laughed.

“The tattoo is the result of a pact between me and Sophia. It represents us always bravely sticking together and fighting together like lions. She had a little lioness tattooed on her shoulder blade.”

“You can’t exactly call your tattoo small,” I replied with amusement.

Malachy laughed and then grumbled in a low voice: “No, it’s not small, but it goes down very well with the ladies.”

His tone seemed to deepen even more as he added, “If I remember correctly, you also liked it exceptionally well when you first saw it.”

I wanted to protest, but he brushed my hair behind my ears, put his hands on either side of my head and gave me a passionate kiss.

What could I say - nothing. He was right after all, his tattoo was sexy as hell. What was I going to protest about anyway?

His kiss befuddled my senses. Words were not necessary as we indulged in our passionate lovemaking.

After I caught my breath and snuggled close to Malachy’s naked torso, a funny thought occurred to me.

“This time it was a little different. We are no longer strangers and there are no more surprises because of a sudden renewed virginity on my part.”

I giggled half out of amusement, half because I was still a little embarrassed about this topic. To cover up this insecurity, I added with a broad grin:

“Still, it wasn’t any less exciting having sex with you here, even though we’re no longer strangers.”

Malachy threw his head back and laughed heartily. After he calmed down again, he looked down at me and deep into my eyes. If I hadn’t already been naked, I would feel that way by now.

A seductive, pensive smile crept onto his face.

“Darling!” He placed a kiss on my forehead.

“Your virginity was an unexpected and incredibly generous gift and I am incredibly proud to be your first and last man after your transformation. I really wanted to be a gentleman at the time and leave your virginity for your future husband to take, but I couldn’t resist you. Besides, it was a mega turn on for me.”

I looked at him in disbelief and my jaw dropped slightly.

“Lucky for all of us, I’m your future husband, love. After all, as damaged goods, you wouldn’t have gotten anyone else after what you did. Not to mention no one can hold a candle to me as a lover.”

I looked at him as if he had lost his mind.

He tried to withstand my probing gaze, but after a short while burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes as I understood that he was just pulling my leg.

Then, out of indignation, I slapped him lightly on the bicep and retorted, “Stop teasing me!”

He laughed mischievously again, but very quickly became serious and looked at me again with that piercing gaze.

“The truth is, I’ve always stayed away from virgins - it usually involves too many emotions and expectations, until I met you, darling. With you, everything was different. I think I fell in love with you the first time I saw you.”

I leaned my head with my ear against his chest, exactly where his heart was and listened to his heartbeat.

“I love you too, Malachy.”

After a while, I broke away from him. “We have to go back. Amie and Darius know how to get their time around without us, but we’re really starting to be rude.”

There was one more subject I wanted to bring up, though.

“Actually, why were you at the Collosseum that fateful night? Knowing you by now, you’re not the type to go from party to party trying to get laid.”

James slipped on his jeans while his gaze turned serious.

“On the day in question, Sophia’s life-support machines were switched off on my instructions. Otherwise, the lie about her death would have come to light. It was one of the darkest days of my life and I wanted to forget and distract myself.”

At these words he looked at me apologetically.

“Why were you here? You weren’t exactly acting like yourself that night either.”

I took a deep breath, remembering the day that had changed my life forever.

“Also for negative reasons, but nowhere near as tragic as yours.”

He placed two fingers under my chin and forced me to look him straight in the eye. “This isn’t a competition and I’m not judging.”

I nodded before shaking off his fingers.

“As you already know, I was presented with my Master’s degree that day. In addition, Daddy Niklas handed me my blood serum vial with proof, that I was not related to Adrian.

This broke my heart, because at that time I thought that he was my great love and that I had lost him forever due to my bad behaviour after our separation.

When in fact this painful break-up had been completely unnecessary.”

I shook my head briefly and took a deep breath to sort out my thoughts.

“In hindsight, it’s really incredible how naïve I was.”

Malachy took me in his arms and gave me a kiss on the top of my hair.

“We may have acted completely out of character that day, yet I have never regretted my actions because they led me to you.”

I wrapped my arms around him and agreed with a nod of my head.

Thank you for being so patient with me and enduring the long waiting periods.

If you want to bridge the time until the next update is coming, I recommend you take a look at my other work “Among Vampires”. It is not a classic vampire story. I think you will like it.

Stay healthy and best regards,
